'That would be funny if it's real!'

A loud gleeful voice from a 12-year-old child broke the silence of the class. The teacher raised his head after hearing a loud noise that interrupted the examination they were having.

Alec stared at him with his wide grin, seems occupied with where his brain was flying earlier. He laughed, and sat silently after that, and took a nap once again.

The sky was already painted with pink and orange hue as soon as he exited the barn house. He got a chicken leg in his right hand and a map, given by a stranger earlier, in his left hand. The next stop would be due North! He can't wait to see what will he get there.

The road leads to Rabbit's Nest were filled with bubbly blue and pink fluffs of cotton, where you can taste a burst of honey when eaten. There were some sheep with dark-colored chocolate drippings on its coat, called at him with welcome. He just nodded and continued on his way after finishing his chicken leg.

The door made a cricket sound as he opened it, also blinding him with the sudden focus of the light from the inside. Alec feels like he was the center of the attention he often sees in carnivals.

A loud bang and the shop was soon filled with singing voices, and instrumentals played using the table utensils.

'Come on, kid. You made it in time!'

A man in his 30's offered him a butterbeer served in a bowl accompanied with honey deluxe. Alec appreciated the offer and took a bite on the deluxe. There are even some bees slipped from his mouth that would often burst with honey extract when eaten.

The whole room was occupied by some burly guys in the group, guns in their backs and some have swords in their waist. It is the most likely appearance of the hunter or traveler in the kingdom. It is not used to fight human beings, just for safety measures and for hunting food.

Alec just started to be accustomed to the new environment after leaving his steampunk reality days ago. Although, he would also see some floating vehicles but mostly horses with wings rather than big ships.

He once again enjoyed eating the honey deluxe after being entertained by one of the burly guys earlier. But, the atmosphere turns silent as the door once again opened.

The shop owner creased his brows as he looked intently at the door. It can easily know that the new guest might be an uninvited one.

Alec just got his request ticket a day ago before turning to the street and visit this place. His eyes once again beamed in excitement, the new visitor might be someone who's also like him.

Five minutes passed and the door who was quiet for some time burst open by a sudden force. A male in a black cloak made his way to the doorway while munching his chicken leg.

Eh? Chicken leg? Alec giggled as he guesses that the guy might have the same map he got from the stranger.

The eyes of the male roamed at the room and rested on the shop owner's position. He strived an immediate walked and handed his sword, and offered a bag of gold. Alec's eyes sting a little and his little mouth gaped in its limit.

The new male must be richer than him! He can't stop praising the guy but still feels horrible for himself. Ah, when will he have that sort of money? He could just dangle all of his copper coins on his waist and not be scared of getting robbed. It's just a couple of copper coins, you can't even buy a bottle of goat's milk with that amount. Ah, practically crying would not solve his problem of poverty.

'Young man, your sword is disheveled. I'm afraid that my shop wouldn't be able to return it in its original form,' the owner's remark in a hoarse voice. Alec could tell how the owner tried to show his pity and disappointment in its capabilities while he was saying those.

The new guest just stared at his sword, never taking any movement. His eyes just rested on his weapon.

Alec's lips started to pout and showing a sulk expression. The new guest must be disappointed. But, the thought of helping the guy didn't even pass in his thought. He could just shrug, he was also new in this fluff reality and he also relies on a stranger's map. There's nothing he could do.

The owner just sighed and offer the new guest a seat near Alec has.

'You must be tired from your journey. If your mind, you could stay here for a moment to rest,' the barn owner's offer. The new guy just nodded his head as an answer.

Whilst enjoying his snack, Alec turns his head to the side where the guy is seated. He probed his eyebrows before smiling widely.

'My name is Alec,' he stated but the new guy didn't even spare him a look. He immediately sulks and looks intently at the sword. If he could have a golden finger, befriending this new guy would be an easy task. But, without even knowing how this world completely functions would be a big disadvantage for him.

He just swiftly shifted his gaze upfront and open the map he has. The Rabbit's Lair path was already done. After resting for a day, he could start traveling to the West. As the map said, he could find the Fountain of Hetare and the Lake of Kyte. It was a popular fishing spot of keys for the latter and a popular portal for the former. Though, he needed to travel first to Lake of Kyte to fished up some keys to open the path for the Fountain of Hetare.

It may be a lucky draw if he could get a key for another world, but he immediately thought that staying in this current one for some time will be also good.

When the sky once painted into a red wine hue, he grabbed his belongings and entered the second floor where he accommodates his stay for the night.
