Here's mine

"Please, have some Sophie."

Listening to Shawn's voice hypnotized Sophie to reach out her hand and take a sip of the served drink, a nonalcoholic cold beverage. Heck, even if Shawn served a poisonous drink, Sophie would gulp it down in gusto! No questions asked!

Sophie took a look at the cut fruits, it was well cut and plated. Sophie imagines Shawn in the kitchen, wearing an apron and cutting those fruits carefully with a sharp knife - an image she hopes to see with her own eyes. She unconsciously wiped off her imaginary nose bleeding.

Shawn seated at the single seater sofa which only an arm away from Sophie that seated at the end of three seater sofa. Sophie knew she is a thick-faced lady but somehow being inside his apartment, sitting close to him and felt his gaze all over her, made Sophie a bit awkward and shy.

"Here, wanted to return this back to you."

Sophie said to cover her tense as she passed Shawn a brown Kraft paper bag that contains his belonging. Shawn received the bag with much reluctance - this would be the end of his excuse to meet Sophie in the future.

"Thanks. Here, I'm returning back your access card. " Shawn took out the pass card from his wallet to hand it over to Sophie.

'He kept my apartment pass card in his wallet! OMG!!'

Sophie couldn't help but screaming in delight internally when she saw Shawn taking out her access card from his wallet, highlighting the importance of her in his life.

"Keep it, Shawn. You are always welcome to my house."

Shawn didn't say anything, instead, he pulled back his hand and naturally keep the pass card back inside his wallet. He then excuses himself for a while, entered his room and come back in a few minutes time.

"Here, mine. Come over as you please."

Short yet precise.

Sophie's heart fluttered as she heard Shawn remark. Not that she didn't expect for Shawn to finally welcome her in his life, but she didn't expect to be this fast?!

'But what happened to 'I'll tell you I love you after I find the truth about my parent's death' plot line? Author, what are you thinking?! Not that I'm complaining, but one word, THANK YOU!'
