112 Ensuite

The air stifled between two of them. One is waiting for an answer while another one is constructing words in his mind. Minutes passed by with neither willing to begin. After a while, Shawn irons up his will and began to talk.

He recites his life anecdote for the past five years, explaining that he is 'Shawn Edward', living blood-related brother of John Edward, the story how he survived the accident that leads to his parents' death and how he doubted it was accidental. Everything.

After a long detail explanation, Sophie remained silent. Shawn knew it would take some times for her to digest, so he stood up and walked out of bed. He makes a way to the ensuite for a quick freshen up.

Closing the door behind him, Shawn then walked towards the monochrome marble top double vanity and mounted wide mirror. Aside to an obvious difference of vanity and large tub, most layout and utilities almost the same as his.

He turned the faucet open, hold a handful of water before splashed to his face. The cool water rehydrates and cleans those salty sweat and dirt off his face. His right hand habitually reached out to the right side down of the sink where he placed his face towel, but he grabs onto nothing.

'Yea, this isn't my place'.

Shawn turned around and leaned against the vanity. He took time to observe the full monochrome theme bathroom - a handful of female toiletries on top of the counter, three wall alcove bathtub that sandwiched between the exterior wall and built-in storage cabinet and toilet.

He walked nearer to half empty body wash, picked the red bottle up and gave it a sniff.

'Smell like her'

Shawn made a mental note of the brand then placed it back like no one touching nothing. He took another look at the door, wondering if he should walk out and faced whatever Sophie had decided.

He felt his proud IQ means nothing as he couldn't think of anything, how to face Sophie afterward. What should he say to convince her to face a dangerous future together with him? He knew himself is fearless against enemies, but facing her, he felt worthless.

As Shawn contemplated himself short, the door sprung open, jolted Shawn from mindless thought. Sophie at the door, wrapped herself with a wide white towel, looking at full dressed Shawn and then to the empty clean tub. Seeing nothing changed in the bathroom, Sophie let out a heavy sigh.

"Here I thought you were preparing bathtub for us?" (。•́︿•̀。)
