24 hours before "THE LIFT"

CJ's Pov

                I was relaxing at the back of the campus, under a tree lying until i decided to take a walk around...there was nobody around except for me since the classes are still going...don't get me wrong I'm a student here but i don't think I need to attend my classes since I already know what the professors would teach and also in this school as long as you pass the exam you'll be fine....after strolling for some time, I ended up near the pond at back of the school, I sat at the edge of it and closed my eyes, I like to this once in a while to calm my mind...

It is where I always stay to pass time and sleep, its actually restricted for students to come here but don't care, it's not like they can throw me out cause I'll throw them first before they could... The pond's water is very clear you can see the fishes swiftly swimming and the stone at the shallow part of it.... I just laid under the tree near it... After a little while my eyelids felt heavy, I just let my self drift away to dream land...

"Cj..." a whisper called me, the voice seems a little weird... And trust me I know the CORRECT definition of weird...

I opened my eyes, as I heard the voice of somebody calling me again... it was coming from the direction of the pond...I stood up and slowly walked towards the edge of the pond... Before I knew it, I was about to dip my hand in the water, but something strange happened as soon as the tip of my fingers touched the water....I saw some kind of vision, I saw myself looking at an orb or something like a ball of transparent thing and my hand moved towards the orb and touched it, flashes of places, events and faces unknown to me came flooding in my mind, for some time I felt extreme pain in my head, I held it with the hope of making the pain stop, I heard a snap and there I was i was back to reality...I was still laying under the same tree near the pond,I realised that it was just a dream.... I was left confused and with many questions, I don't know what happen but I was able to keep the thoughts in my mind aside as soon as the bell rang..that seems to be the case for now...

               I ran to our room since the next class is the only class I'm interested in, It was history...The subject teacher tend to tell us impossible things that made me curious... 'cause ever since i was a child, i was very much interested in any thing fantasy-related...I even finished reading Harry Potter books and I also read about Greek mythology... Maybe it's because that my life is also a fantasy story itself...

               As soon as I arrived the whole room turned suddenly quiet and tense, you could also say akward...Well, that's what you get when you're one of the richest guys in the school, just stating an undeniable fact and also the most introverted guy in the campus walks in to the room...I'm not really some kind of cold bastard, I'm just really shy, yeah you know two different things, hehe....don't judge me

                As soon as I sat down on my sit at the back of the room, I felt eyes looking at me from all over the room, especially the envious ones if stares can melt a person I would evaporate, the guys are just sending death glares at me...My reaction? Not bothered...I looked up when I that four people were towering over me, now I'm concerned about my ears...I just covered my ear with my hands...please pay for the fees for my damaged ear... they're gonna nag again, actually she is... 

                "hey!Where have you been? cutting classes again! Yah---"Jhing said...tsk!get used to it bruh...I couldn't hear that much since I covered my ears to lessen the collateral damage to my ears...

                "haven't you gotten used to it?he always does that?So please stop!All those years of hearing flashbang explosions didn't damage my ears, but gosh! Your voice will... "Quinn said...very well said Quinn, same reaction but with less overreaction...

               "uhmmm.... Could you repeat what you've said? I'm afraid I have to consult the the nurse later... "Harvey joked acting like he was having a hard time trying to hear what Jhing said...

                 I just got my book from my bag and opened it, I read while Jhing is still nagging...I also put my headset on and played music some music, I let a little smile appear on my face when I heard Slowmotion play...

"yieshhh... You couldn't even smile when it was our birthday...but even just hearing their voice makes you smile..." harvey teased... Don't blame me if the only thing I see that is worth being happy of is this, and also as if I'm the only one...

"if you were me, would you smile if you see those faces everyday? Hell no! You'll have nightmares, NIGHTMARES I tell you!..." I said while pointing at Quinn and Jhing's face not taking my eyes of the pages of the book I'm reading...

Harvey laughed while the other were pissed of what I said... They were trying to get to me but harvey was stopping them, I'm surprised by Chester being able to put up with Quinn's weight... Ehem, not to be bad but she is a little chubby...

" let me go through I'm going to pull his throat out! So he can't walk around with his foul words!!!!! " Quinn shouted while Harvey is blocking them...

" oh thank lord... We're in the room if we aren't I would have sew your mouth " Jhing said while massaging her temples making herself calm down...

                  " be quiet!... Sir Karl is here "janine said...making the two shut up, She's like really mature AT TIMES but most of the time she's also cuckoo especially when it comes to her baby bear, that is what she calls her crush and her biases...

                   Well, I said that I was very shy, but I talk to these guys,Since they're my crew.. WE are actually kind of the owners of this school, we are not your typical school kids, there's this group called EQUINOX and the members are called Noxes, They're a filipino specialized group of soldiers trained eversince they were seven years old in advanced harsh environment for big outbreak purposes like wars and in situations that the government can't handle until now they made countless achievements,They are also hired by other country to resolve problems out of their hands and WE ARE them...

                  Sir Karl came into the room, he's giving off that 'I'm the authority here' aura but he just looks like that, he's actually a fun teacher he comes up with diffirent ideas to make his classes really interesting so his students wouldn't get bored...

               " Good mornin' class...you do know that today is an equinox,right?any body knows what an equinox is? "he leaned on the desk and asked a question...

               I know that its a eqiunox today and I also know what an equinox is but i have no pla-....

                " Mr. Oakley?since you're a member of a group named Equinox.... perhaps,do you know the answer to my questions? " he suddenly asked which caught me off-guard which rarely happens....I had no choice but to answer his then....

                " an eqinox is a day where the time is evenly distributed to the lenght of both day and night, but this is a rare phenomenon, it is said someone who expirienced an equinox is quite lucky .... "I said blankly, I did not let out any hint of emotion....The plastic people started clapping as if I answered a very hard question, they're just trying to get into my good side, you know? Rich kid here....One student is even acting like she passed out, talk about OA..

                " Well said, Mr. oakley....That's right!did you also know that an eqiunox in the unknown tapestries in some parts of the world means "the lift" or undoing of the curse of Tesla, the first guardian of the tree of life,thylos...."What he is saying right now is really getting my attention, and also so very specific by the way.."It was said in the tapestry that in the olden times humans possesed peculiar abilities that's why they were even called Arkans or flowers of Thylos, The guardian was given only one ability but he was able to control his powers to a fully and without limits if he is in full bloom state, a state where an arkan is at his/her fulllest, along with The five phixies and the lands greatest heroes, which were each given the rarest of ablilities....they kept kezia the kingdom of arkans safe and at peace...."the story Sir Arc is now telling us seems really unbelievable but something in me is tellin' me to believe, you know! Weirder things have happen to the world, nothing seems strange anymore....."but one day, a group arkans turned greedy of power so they improvised an taboo ability that can be only learned until you are able to kill an arkan yourself and consume their seed, the seed is considered as the soul of arkans...the taboo ability said was called wilting , it influences the arkans ability with abyssal energy  making their ability power raise incredibly but only some survived the wilting process and became a official wilt, and the ones that survived succumbed to the dark side, the wilts with akaio leading them continously killed for power....the news reached the guardian and The phixies,so together with the kezian warriors, and the heroes from foreign lands, they head to war with the wilts....Akaio and the guardian met in battle, akaio was able to keep up with the strenght of the guardian and his phixies were fighting with the spriggans or dark fairies, akaio from the abyss realm, that akaio was able to work with...for days the fight between the two bombarded the earth with vast explosion...many kezian warrior have fallen, a lot of wilts also died in battle....the guardian couldn't bear sight of his people dying so he called his phixies they entered their full-bloom state and joined hands and intense lights shined throughout the horizon....these words came out of the guardian's mouth before the light was gone and akaio and his fairies turned into dust along with the guardian and his phixies...."by this sacrifice I, the guardian and the mythical phixies curse those who are sinful and have killed many of my people, he and his people will be punished with instant death and will be unable to reincarnate until the curse is lifted when the blue moon occurs,now law of judgement!TURN TO DUST!So that's actually not proven i just wanted you to know and also it is said that the soul of the guardian and his pixies are also stuck not being able to be reincarnated because they're still keeping akaio's soul trapped,....so--------"he was interupted until his phone ring..." excuse me i have to take this call"he said then walked out.....his stories like this is the reason why i only attend his classes and not to other teachers...

                 The whole day ....i was loitering around the school then from time to time i think of about the story of sir Karl...I don't know about the story but I do know about the "core " thingy, he was talking about, well everyone does...

Eros' Pov(3rd person's pov)

At the Split, a place in between everything... Its a white dimensional field with never ending space and somewhere in a clear crystal chamber is seen... The chamber have cracks on it and black smoke and liquid is coming out of it...

The Split's silence was broken by a deep devilish laugh, enough to make a person goosebumps, The voice spoke..

"Soon... I'll be back..." The same voice echoed in the vast space of place....

Rhenz's Pov

It is already past 5 o'clock and everybody, well except us have gone home...We're still at the back of the school near the pond, under the tree.... Everytime, we stay here until dark and do stargazing Until We're sleepy... The pond is really pretty, the water is clear, lotus flowers are on the water and in the shallow part of the pond, you can see the pebbles underwater... you can also see at the other end of the pond, you can see the entrance of the woods...

Right now, we're doing our businesses... Harvey is knitting a scarf, again-_-...I don't know but I think if strings are drugs he might be addicted, he can't go through a day without making at least one scarf, don't get me wrong our house is not full of scarfs, needles and strings... He gives his finished products to the orphanage near our house... And yes, the 5 of us lives in the same house, we bought the house ourselves using our "talent" fee,you can call it that, again governments hire us, you think that's cheap...think twice... Back to topic.. Harvey's doing that, Quinn is eating... Yeah, I better leave her and her food be, if I don't want to get beaten up... Jhing is minding her own businesses looking at a guy's shirtless body on her phone, she was smiling mischievously while looking at it... You know the look of a pervert peeping through a hole in a public comfort room, her look is a lot worse than that, she looks like she might rape the phone...while Cj is taking a nap, you know sometimes I wish his nap would last forever... Cj looks harmless while asleep but everything changes when he's awake... You'd wish he never wakes up at all...you'll know soon.. So yeah, for short,

I'm with a bunch of weird ass people... Yeah it is should come from the girl who's watching these weird ass people tend to their businesses like a creep...

Okay! Enough Creepy business! Since I've got nothing to do.. I just got a bottle that has water in it from my bag...I opened it and hovered my hands above the mouth of the bottle, I motioned my hands in a twirling motion... Soon enough, the water inside it followed the movement of my hand, I led it outside the bottle,.... Yeah, yeah, I know I said enough creepy businesses but as long as you're with us your gonna see and experience more weirder things than this... Let me explain, its not that I can control water but I used my ability to make the water follow my will... I developed my Core while I was in training for Equinox, what? Do you expect to be born with some kind of ability like this?We are not living in a fantasy world,Ironic isn't it? 🙄.....A Core is an advance ability of person, many people know it as powers and my Core is enchantment... I enchanted the water to follow my Instruction, enchantment is the ability of a person to boost a thing or a persons attribute but on the down side I can only do this on small scale like right now I only used a bottle of water, I find it harder to do it in a greater scale.. Like the pond, I cannot enchant the entire pond water to follow my will, even if I did I would die of Ki deficiency... More explanations to come😑Ki is like the chakra of naruto and mana of heroes in dota 2, league of legends, and mobile legends, it is also called as ki or life force.. So no ki means no powers and also buy your coffin if you ever find yourself out of Carat, cause surely a funeral will follow, because ki is life force itself...

I played with the water, changing its form, while I was playing with it.... Jhing fixed her reading glasses in place then talked...

"Be careful..." Through her glasses, you can see her eyes turn Red..."In the woods, about a hundred of them..." she added, Enhanced senses, that's her Core on the downside she can only enhance one sense at a time, but her reflexes and instinct are enhanced even with using her core, and the colored eyes that's the sign of us using our core.... A peculiar ability that makes the five senses be heightened... Right now, everybody is on their guard but still doing their things not to be obvious... Instantly, our instincts kick in when a bunch of needles come our way, I made the water I enchanted make a wall of water in front of me and freezing it, Quinn made the metal plate she's holding big enough to shield her, her core is mass and size manipulation, it is limited only to things and some part of her body though...

While Harvey caught all the needles with his strings, yeah that might be the reason he is addicted to strings but still,his Core is String Manipulation, he can manipulate strings obviously, but if there's no string around his ability is useless and Jhing just did some gymnastic moves, due to her enhanced senses, her reflexes is also enhanced... And Cj don't care, he's still asleep, he just made a force field around him... His Cursoid is force energy manipulation , he can make a force shield anywhere and anytime,he can also shape it in any way he wants.. Out of us five, he is the one who can control his Core the best...He's the strongest of the crew, the fact that he is sleeping right now,I'm just realising that I don't know what got to me to vote for that guy to be the leader, oh yeah there were no votings, it was decided by beating the shit out each other...hmm, I don't know.. Back to the story..

"You guys, be quiet... Just kill them all, don't wake me up..." the sleeping guy said in annoyed tone... Then he faced the other way...

"aishhh! What a bitchy guy... C'mon Let just finish this..." Jhing said...When she said that we started to charge to the forest...Harvey used his string to slingshot himself to the forest,... "hardness raised by 150 points and stability raised by 130 points " I chanted.. I felt my eyes change its color and my hands was encircled by rune circles as I enchanted his strings to be stronger...Jhing got her pen which is also a retractable Rapier from her pocket, I already enchanted it at the house I made it produce electricity every slash and thrust, A rapier or espada ropera is a type of large, slender, sharply pointed sword, the rapier is optimized to be mainly a thrusting weapon, but it can also be used for cutting and slashing... Right after she jumped on to Quinn's hand who is about as tall as a three-story building right now holding a tree reminds me of the troll thingies in the movie hellboy two, but with only the legs and one hand enlarged.."strength raised by 50 points... " I casted another enchantment on the tree, but as I've said it's still hard for me to enchant big things to such extent... That's why I can only raise its strength by 50 points...Right after I got the plate which Quinn made larger.. I sat on it, okay a little chant "flying ability raised by a hundred, consciousness granted and loyalty raised by 200". Right after the plate flew, wonder what's the loyalty for?... I just thought of the plate flying towards the direction of the forest then it flew there...the loyalty is for it to follow my order since I granted it a consciousness already... Right after I motioned my hand to get the my enchanted water, it reverted to its original form from being frozen.. I snapped my hand and the water turned it a hundreds of water spines... I was ready to go in to war mode but that happen... The people or PERSON, it would be the right term, cause when the "enemy" walked out of the forest, it turned out to be someone we know...Aigoo, when he's here it means we might really go into a real war...

8:00 PM

Right now, we are at the house ...packing

I knew it from the moment that guy walked out of the forest... So this is what happened

Flashback at the forest scene

We were about to attack when the enemirs walked out the forest, we couldn't help ourselves to facepalm...we got so worked up about something or someone who isn't worth to be worked up with in the first place... It was someone we know, its Diego he is the one who our clients contact to talk about the offers, he also have a core, he has an ability called duplicate, he can make clones of himself and he just used it to prank us AGAIN, I swear to god I might just kill him... So if he's here he must have something for us...

He smiled teasingly actually all of them did, his duplicates are still here... Tell me can I use these water spines on him, he's really annoying he always come up with this pranks like the last time he said he was threatened by some gang so we went there and beat those guys up but it turns out he just lost on a bet and he just wanted get back on them...Until this day we always get tricked by him... And I'm seeing Jhing turn into a demon again...

"missed me?..." he and the duplicates said... Okay that's it, Quinn made Jhing's rapier bigger and I enchanted it to become really light then Jhing slashed to the direction of the Diego platoon...the Electricity made by the rapier made the duplicates disappear, she stopped when she was about to hit the original ones neck...

"wanna die?..." jhing said with a matching death glare... Quinn, harvey and I are laughing really hard, Oh my god, Diego the cousin of Dora's face is like his soul is ready to go into the light...

"okay, enough play time... Diego, what is it? The sun's about to set, I want to go home already..." Cj said while riding on a flat force field while eating chips while sitting with legs crossed , wow! His life is really easy isn't it? Take note of my sarcasm... Diego's soul was brought back by cj's voice,at least his color is coming back before he looked like a dead body already...

" you guys want to kill me that bad????!!!!!! Gosh, you can't even take a joke----" his hysterical speech was cut off by cj. Harvey and Quinn, who let their laugh get out after holding their it for a while...

"two, don't let me count 'till three.... You don't want to see death early do you?" Cj said...he' s talking as if meeting death in a date is a small thing, he's stuffing his mouth with chips right now, I would not want that date... I would if it's Junghwan but its not though,so no thanks, you can have it... Diego just scratched the back of his head..

"Yang Hyun Suk... He's the new client, he wants you to do something for him, and I think Oakley would like it..." he smiled at cj, a smile that everyone of us is wearing right now, hello? Who wouldn't smile, were going to meet them ...

So yeah, that's why we're packing clothes right now...these coming day will be awesome...
