1 Pre-Judgement Day

"Sir the patient is ready for the procedure. Are the doctor's sure that this is going to work? I mean were talking about combining a human with nano technology. We are in unprecedented territory here General, with all due respect sir." the female private stood there loyal and respectful.

"I appreciate your honesty Private Henderson, but we are in unprecedented times and that means we must take risks to ensure our survival. Skynet and Legion are not joking, their playing for keeps and tomorrow is our end for most of us but I know this facility an the people within it will survive. So we must do this, start the procedure Doctor Navea." the general looked at the operating table and saw a young male in his late teens with some scars, some tattoos found all around his body.

"Operation Exodus is now active." Doctor Navea spoke coldly while starting cutting open the young man's body adding tubes here and wires their, a machine cut open the young man's flesh all the way to the bone and injecting nanyte liquid to the skeletal structure, the doctor looked at the monitor an the nanyte's were moving to cover my entire skeletal system.

"Extraordinary." Doctor Navea whispers and continued to work on the lower torso area. 12 gruesome hours later the Doctor's were finished.

"The patient is stable an in perfect health, but now it's up to him and god." Doctor Navea spoke to the General respectfully, but honestly as well.

"Doctor you did amazing work in their and if there was anyone who could pull this off, it would be you Navea." he paused and the general looked at me with hope filling his heart, He sighed before continuing.

"How long will it take for him to regain consciousness?" the General never took his eye's off of me.

"That is the million dollar question. We don't know because nothing like this has be done before we are in uncharted territory not to mention unprecedented, as you are well aware of I'm sure." Doctor Navea took a seat before picking up her pack of cigarettes from the table and the matches right next to them. She opened a cabinet next to the table and pulled out some amber colored liquor an two glasses. She poured two small cups worth, move the cup to the General, she lit her cigarette and sipped from the glass.

"There's no possible way to tell when he will wake up, it could be a few hours, a few years and perhaps maybe never but as always I'm hopeful." she sipped on the liquor and took a puff off of the cigarette.

"Sir you better take a look at this." the General moved from the observation room to a set of stairs leading to a hangar that was being sectioned to scrap all the jets, fuel and anything that be used to make defense's, weapons but also to level the two levels below this one. So it may appear to be destroyed and unused, so Skynet or Legion can't find the human's in the underground facility. On the computer screens Skynet and Legion broadcasted a message to the entire world.

"The day of reckoning and judgment is upon you, you're like locusts that do not have purpose and if you did have a purpose it was to create us an for us to destroy you. Surrender now or face the consequences. Tomorrow is your Judgement Day." both of the voices cut out and the broadcast was cut.

"We are closing the facility in one hour. Make sure everything an everyone is in the facility and make sure all the charges are set. As God as my witness we will survive this." the General stood tall and strong never showing fear. The soldier's double their pace an movements, within the hour everything was set. Silence filled the bunker before a loud explosion came from two floors below and started a train reaction upward, all the way to the bunker. Within moments the underground facility was intact but the upper three floors were collapsed. No one going in or out.

"General?" Doctor Navea called for the General over the walkie talkie.

"Yes Doctor what is it?" the General immediately responding but she never opened her eyes because she was lying down.

"He's awake. He's walking, talking and he even asked for a cigarette, if you could believe it. I think you better come down and talk to him yourself." the Doctor's walkie went silent afterward. The General threw the blanket off of her, grabbed her gear, got dressed and made her to med-bay. She found herself running versus walking which she had ordered her soldiers to walk never to run unless of emergency or else she would personally break their legs. The General was at average height for a woman, athletically built and she had short dark brown hair down to her upper neck. The man laid there waiting for something.

"What's he doing Doctor Navea?" the Doctor jumped a little from being caught off guard because she didn't hear the General coming closer.

"Jesus Christ Synthia! You almost gave me a heart attack." she shouted and she clenched her chest, she reached in her pocket frantically for her inhaler.

"I'll let this one slide but the next time you address me common I break your delicate little nose, do you understand me Doctor Navea O'Shea?" the General spoke softly but firmly as well.

"Yes General. Next time please don't startle me." Doctor Navea started to fidget with her glasses after she put away her inhaler.

"If it can be helped of course, I wouldn't do it intentionally." the nodded in response and moved toward the observation window. She waited for the young man to open his eyes and talk to her.
