1 Prologue
The dawn of the 22nd century,(45th year of the Astushi era go-gatsu Banme)
The night sky over Tokyo was serene and beautiful,the illuminated the night sky white the people went about their daily lives-as the people of the city had just finished working hard to overcome the disaster that had occurred over a decade ago.
When a quarter of the coastline had unexplainably sunk into the ocean…one of many strange and still unexplained chain reaction of simultaneous phenomenon scientists dubbed 'the white light incident'-no one really happened…all that was certain was that following the explicable appearance of what eye witnesses could only describe as a 'bright flash of white light'…strangely these accounts were from different regions and countries across the globe from individuals,who had claimed to have seen the light simultaneously from areas,regions…and yes even continents apart all over the planet.
A lone vigilantly hovered like some sort of golden haired guardian angel-which would not be too far off actually considering that the woman had saved this city and the whole world more times than what was possible to count-the woman had no name of her own…no true one at least…the scientists that had given her the code subject x-27-the various news media had so graciously doubted the tenth wonder of the modern world…but the name she commonly went was Hata Mitsuki…just Suki for short to her family and closest friends-though few people on knew that Mitsuki and "Tenth wonder" where one and the same…and that is how the young woman preferred it.
Mitsuki swiftly soared over like some kind of lovely guardian angel-her superhuman hearing allowed the young woman to hear every last thing that went on through out the mostly quiet city;'huh Offaly quiet tonight-'Suki commented as she almost simultaneously deals with various minor emergencies all across the city…ever since the "white light incident" Japan-as well as the rest of the world fallen into near anarchy.
Almost all power grids were effect with black outs and power shortages happening in almost every major and minor city on earth being forced back almost post 20th century technology…the global economy seemingly breaking down over with looters and raider groups forming as a bizarre means of survival;I take brief break atop a rather large that was just a few feet away from becoming the next Tokyo tower -my feet gently touched down on cold stainless steel.
Mitsuki sighed deeply…relax calm beginning to take root."beautiful!" The woman remarks referring to the lively looking lights and sounds of the city-from where she stood...Mitsuki could almost see the entirety of New Tokyo-the various buildings and streets below seeming to shimmer like billions of crystals,the busy buzz of people going normally about their same old drab and ordinary lives...half in due part thanks to the young superheroine,who took in the blissfully serenity up until a massive explosion like sound.
Braka-booom!!
The young heroine seen feels the earth below her tremble as a bright flash goes off in the distance-she does not hesitate nor takes even a brief moment to think before immediately rocketing towards action.
Meanwhile…
A miniature war is wedged in the heart of the city-a monstrous behemoth of man with slightly cybernetic features on his face…all around him was destruction and death as the surrounding streets lay in ruins with slowly fading flames of the resulting explosive chain reaction of one of the six heroes that had caused in trying to prevent his comrades and himself from being crushed by a lunging oil tanker truck courtesy of the hulking one man army that now towered over the unconscious group of heroes.
"Ha you idiots should of stayed out of my way!" The monstrous villain gloated ov the unconscious man.
The villain soon turned away from the six unconscious heroes and began to move towards a small safe-swoosh! The monster like villain is left speechless as the safe was now suddenly gone?
"What the—"
"…Looking for something tall,dark and ugly?"Mitsuki says playfully tossing the miniature safe in the palm of her left hand.
"T-Tenth W-wonder?" The man stuttered both shocked and intimidated by the powerful superheroine's mere presence.
"In the flesh!"Tenth Wonder faintly smirks as she soon holds out her other hand and instantly charged an energy based attack.
"Oh-oh crud!"the monster like villain says before being blasted half uh mile away by Tenth Wonder's attack 'shining spear'.
"Oops-" the young woman says not fully realizing the full strength of her own attack before until it was already too late."…I only meant to incapacitate him with shining spear…hope he's still breathin after that?"the heroine says before quickly going to check on the other heroes who had only just now begun to regain consciousness.
"Tenth wonder?"one of the groups two heroines says stunned.
The heroine gave quick three fingered solute with beaming grin that showed off the young woman's perfect pearly white teeth."…at your service!" Tenth wonder says with a slightly bubbly Demeter."…now if you'll please excuse me!"Mitsuki bowed respectfully before quickly launching off into the new darkened sky in a hazy blur that was scarcely visible in midair.
Tenth wonder quickly tracked down the hulking brutish looking villain she had sent flying into the air like a rocket to halfway across the city…coincidently he landed right on police car that just happened on patrol at the time.
Sometime Time later…
Tenth had just explaining to the two police officers why an almost 9 foot tall behemoth had seemingly from the sky without warning…and briefly apologizing for unknowingly dropping him onto the roof of their squad car.
"Heh heh don't worry…I'll make sure that the agency pays off the damage promise!"she promises regretfully.
"Oh don't worry about it…besides all that means is that you've done is really save us the trouble of catching'pretty boy over here'?" One of the policemen said as his partner struggled to fit the mammoth sized villain into the back of their patrol car.
"Okay…well I guess if everything wrapped up here I guess I'll just be on my way home for the night!"
The young superheroine quickly gave the two a brief solute before launching back into the sky-a sonic boom briefly disturbing the air before the vanished into the night.
Soon enough…
Mitsuki quickly turned off the shower head of her bathroom-the young woman quickly grabbing a tane colored towel and quickly drying herself off a little before wrapping up her burnt orange hair and putting on a white bathrobe and fuzzy slippers.
Beep beep beep beeep!!!
The microwave beeped just as entered the joint living room/kitchen of her modest sized apartment-Mitsuki quickly opened the microwave and pulled the leftover take out ramen noodles she had been preheating.
Mitsuki soon sat down on the 'U' shaped couch of the living room.
The young woman instinctively picked up the remote for the TV and turned it to one of the local entertainment networks.
Mitsuki had to admit…today was a good days work!
