21 The God Mother Arch-Enemy (Part 3)

Thank you very much for the motivational messages, it means a lot.

As many of you have suggested, I'm going to keep updates weekly, and rather than increasing chapter releases in the future, I'm thinking about increasing the word count progressively.

I'll be starting with 2000 for now.

There will not be a specific day of the week for the update, it will be between Monday and Friday for flexibility.

The atmosphere around Tiamat immediately changed. The air felt colder, the sea calmed, and there wasn't a single noise other than the sound of Acnologia approaching again.

For a brief moment, there seemed to be absolute peace. Then, in the next instant, that serenity has been obliterated.

KRA-BUM!

With a sound of devastating thunder, a gigantic torrent of reddish-black power was released from Tiamat's body into the sky. The colossal torrent swirled around Tiamat like a gigantic typhoon that was like a mythic bridge between the sky and sea.

The burst of power was so strong that even Acnologia stopped in mid-air in awe. His instincts every second screamed for him not to get closer.

After a few seconds of what felt like an eternity, the gigantic reddish-black pillar disappeared with a mighty bang.

Acnologia watched everything with shock and disbelief. He doesn't know what she did, but he has never felt so much power in his life.

When everything calmed down, Tiamat's silhouette became visible again. And her appearance underwent a slight change.

Her once blue outfit was now black with red details, and her long blue hair was now half-red. The biggest change, however, was the raw power emanating from Tiamat at that moment. It felt completely different from a few moments ago.

Acnologia's body trembled slightly as he felt Tiamat's power.

'Her power increased a hundredfold? No...A thousand times...?'

A word instinctively appeared in Acnologia's mind.

Monster.

Acnologia has already long discovered Tiamat's identity. How would he not know? Long ago when the dragons lived freely in the world, most of the dragons worshiped her. The one who came before, the first of dragons, the mother of all, Tiamat.

He heard a lot about her while hunting and killing dragons around the world. Having disappeared at the beginning of time, it was not known what she was. Was she a Dragon? A God? Both? However, that never mattered to him.

This was nothing more than a fairy tale.

But then out of nowhere, he felt her, as if someone had placed her perfume in front of his nose. A draconic presence so pure that he couldn't help but come flying as fast as possible to kill it.

Then he saw her.

The first moment he saw Tiamat, he knew. His dragon half was telling him. Saying she was the mother of dragons. She was the origin. Of all his suffering, of all his hate, of everything. Then in a moment of blind rage, he attacked her.

He was the strongest, the King of Dragons, there was nothing to fear. He was just going to obliterate the existence of that despicable being. However, he was easily repelled with a slap. Not only did his face hurt, but so did his pride.

He felt angry, but he also felt excited. When was the last time he felt pain? He doesn't remember.

His blood was boiling, he would finally have a worthy fight! That was what he thought until Tiamat released her power.

Goddess? Dragon? That's ridiculous. He's already killed both, godkin and dragons, but nothing matched that thing's power.

Tiamat slowly opened her eyes glowed red, and muttered, "Restrictions...Released...Level Four."

Tiamat raised her face and looked at Acnologia, who trembled as he felt her glare on him. She took a deep breath. She leaned back slightly with her cheeks full, and then she leaned forward and opened her mouth.

"[Star Dragon God Roar]"

As she released the power contained in her mouth, the world trembled and turned red, and the surrounding water immediately evaporated. Just the release of her breath had the power of a hydrogen bomb.

A titanic red beam was fired towards Acnologia, the enormous force of Tiamat's breath crackled in the air and seemed to slightly twist space-time around itself.

Acnologia smiled.

He has never seen such a powerful dragon's roar. But because it is so powerful, he is happy. How strong will he be if he absorbs all the Ethernano from this attack?

Being the [Ethernano Dragon Slayer], he can absorb everything as long as it has Ethernano. Opening his mouth wide, Acnologia waited for the attack to arrive, ready to absorb it. But then, he realized.

'That...There's no Ethernano!'

Contrary to what he thought, Tiamat's source of power was not Ethernano. In this universe, born from the unimaginable cosmic power of a Super Nova, Tiamat was born before the concept of magic even existed.

Sure, she can still use Ethernano freely, but that's nothing more than an inferior power.

Being able to exercise the power of the stars and the cosmos, in addition to being a Goddess, she is the [Star Dragon].

Seeing the attack coming towards him, Acnologia used all his strength to evade the attack, but it was too late.

Tiamat's image reflected in Acnologia's blue eyes one last time, and then, he was swallowed by the light.

In a place very, very far away from where the fight was taking place, a small Dark Guild had finally finished building its base inside a huge and tall mountain.

"Guild Leader, is it really good for us to place our base on this mountain?" asked a member of the Dark Guild who was dressed like a bandit.

"Hmm? Are you doubting me now? Tsk. Don't worry. This mountain Is far from any big city and it's at least twelve hundred kilometers long and full of natural tunnels. It's the perfect hiding place." The Dark Guild leader, a large, bearded man with an ugly face, responded.

"As expected! The guild leader is really different!"

"Humph! Compliments won't get you anywhere, you little shit!" the Guild Master replied with a snort.

RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

Out of nowhere, the mountain began to shake, leaving all the members of the Dark Guild confused and scared.

"W-What is happening? Why is the mountain shaking?!"

"I knew it wasn't a good idea to make a base inside a mountain! Damn it! We will all die!"

"M-Mother! Help me!"

The Dark Guild Master, seeing his pathetic Guild Members so scared, shouts angrily, "Don't just stand there, you idiots! This is an earthquake!"

Soon after, everyone immediately ran off the mountain. Now outside, at the entrance to their hideout, everyone looks up at the sky, confused.

"Why is the sky red turning red...?"

"Is this an eclipse?"

"Idiot! Eclipses don't happen like that!"

"All of you, keep quiet!" The Dark Guild Master roared in frustration. How can your Guild members be so pathetic? He wanted to kill them all right then and there, but then he wouldn't have any subordinates.

Tsk!

While stroking his beard, thinking about what to do about the earthquakes, he feels someone pulling his shirt from behind.

"G-Guild Master...!"

He turned around angrily, ready to kill the idiot who dared to interfere with his moment of thought, "What is it now?!"

"There, on the horizon!" the Guild Member said, pointing to the ocean in the distance.

Looking in the direction the member was pointing, the Guild Master saw a red dot in the distance.

"What the hell is that?"

As he watched, the red dot quickly began to grow, and the sky to redden even more.

RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

The mountain and everything around it began to shake as the red dot approached. The temperature rose quickly, and the Guild leader felt a dread feeling growing inside him.

Before he knew it, the colossal red beam was already right in front of him.

"Fucking Hell..."

KABUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

The mountain was hit, causing a gigantic explosion. Soon after, it was followed by another, even larger explosion, destroying the mountain and a big part of the areas around it.

That day, an area the size of a small country was completely erased from the face of the planet.

Tiamat's Roar began to fade, and when it ended, a large amount of steam was exhaled from her mouth.

She was feeling good. It had been a while since she had released some of her power. She always felt trapped in her base form, which was nothing more than a shell and a seal. But it's necessary. Both this world and that of Tensura are too fragile if she were to release her true power.

She was also feeling satisfied, as she could no longer feel Acnologia's presence. He was erased with that attack.

Good.

Now she can go back and help Mavis and Zera. She admits, she became quite attached to the two little girls. She could see the potential for future daughters in them.

However, now was not the time to think about that. Disappearing into the ocean waters, Tiamat speeds back to Tenrou Island.

A few minutes ago, on Tenrou Island.

The base of the Red Lizard Guild was on fire.

Villagers ran from side to side, many being hit by stray spells.

Mages shouting and releasing spells one after another.

The Blue Skull Guild, a rival guild, that day, launched a mass attack on the Red Lizard Guild, without differentiating between Red Lizard members, villagers, children, women, or old people.

A massacre was taking place.

And in the middle of that war, Mavis ran with her little bare feet, while sobbing and crying. However, Mavis wasn't running to escape, but for something more important.

To find her only friend who might be in danger.

Zera!
