"My Lord? Do you have any orders for me?" asked Coatl, who had just woken up from his sleep.

"Nope, you and I are just gonna chill for a while."

'This view is so beautiful' I thought while gazing up at the sky. I was laying on a small hill in the Jura Forest. Coatl was laying by my side.

Relaxing just feels so good after a stressful day. It feels so surreal. Never would I have ever imagined that I would be living in a world of magic and fantasy. This truly is a blessing and an opportunity.

I wholeheartedly thank the one responsible for this.

'Wait-- I still don't know what I look like!! It's been 4 months, and I don't even know how I look!'

After that revelation, I quickly got up and beckoned Coalt to climb onto my neck, as I started walking towards the nearby river.

"Where are we going my Lord?" Coatl asked.

"To the river, for some.... inspection.... To be honest, I don't know what I look like. Since I'm an otherworlder and everything." I replied.

"!!!!" Coatl looked surprised.

'Oh shit-- I haven't told my Legion about being reincarnated have I?'

"My lord is even more impressive than I thought!!" Coatl exclaimed.

"What? You just accepted it that easily??" I asked, confused about his casual reaction.

"Well yeah... You're still my Lord. Being an otherworlder doesn't matter to me at all" Coatl stated.

"That's nice, I guess" I replied, surprise and gratitude on my face.

After that conversation ended, my mind again wandered to the topic of my looks. I didn't really get a chance to check myself out in the cave due to the darkness and lack of reflective surfaces. Thankfully, today is a full-moon, so there's a lot of light to see my reflection in the water.

I'm actually optimistic and really looking forward to this. But it wasn't unreasonable. Beauty in this world was closely tied with strength. Powerful humanoid monsters often looked absolutely perfect. If you considered the Demon Lords, each one of them could be a top-tier model back in my world, with some having an ethereal, otherworldly beauty.

Of course, if someone has a shapeshifting skill or magic, it doesn't matter anyway. They can look however they want to.

After a few minutes of walking, I reached the river. I took a deep breath and leaned forward to take a look at my reflection.

"OH. MY. GOD. Who is this?!"

This....was beyond my expectations. My face was, stunning, to say the least. It might sound exaggerated, but it's not. This type of beauty did not exist in my previous world.

I had bright silver hair that come down just below my ears. My eyes were azure with a purple glow in them. My skin looked spotless and my face was perfectly symmetrical.

'This feels kinda illegal. A boring-ass soul like mine has no right possessing such a body.'

Now that I think about it, I kinda look like a hybrid between Gojou and Kaneki. Shame, just got reminded of that shitty anime adaptation. Anyways, after recovering from my shock, I straightened back up, to take a look at my body as a whole.

'Yeah no...this won't do. The contrast between my clothing and face is like a homeless beggar and ancient nobility.'

My work suit was torn on the side and was in absolute tatters. My tie couldn't be called a tie anymore. My shoes more like slippers, and I was overall looking like shit.

'Yeah it's time to discard these clothes. I need to make new ones with [Create Material]. Thank god I have that skill.'

I removed my clothes and took a minute to admire my form in the water. Those abs looked amazing.

Ok maybe I took more than just a minute.... but a healthy dose of narcissism never hurt nobody.

Then, I got to creating my new outfit. I obviously took inspiration from my past world..... I had to look as cool as possible.

'What's the point of having power if you can't showcase it beautifully.'

After around an hour of creating and altering, with a lot of help from [Great Sage], I was finally done.

The final result looked like the outfit of Dainsleif, from Genshin Impact. However, instead of the blue highlights, my outfit has dull purple ones.

He's the only character I know from Genshin, that too due to my addict friend fanboying over him all the time. But I had to admit, his drip was impeccable. If I'm in a medieval fantasy world, might as well rock that fantasy drip.

The outfit looked quite well with my lean frame, silver hair and azure eyes.

'Since it's made using [Create Material], it'll also have greater durability and will provide some defense.'

'Goddamn!! That good?! Its already better than most armor out there. I really gotta stop underestimating myself.'

"You look amazing my Lord!!" commented Coatl, who was watching me work all this time.

"Thanks a lot, Coatl!" I replied.

To get a third opinion, I opened a Telepathy channel.

'𝘖𝘐! 𝘝𝘦𝘭𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘢! 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘧𝘪𝘵??' I 𝘺𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 telepathically.

'𝘏𝘶𝘩?? 𝘞𝘩-𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘯-𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘶𝘱𝘵 𝘮𝘦??'

*SNIFF* *SNIFF*

'𝘜𝘩𝘩𝘩𝘩𝘩𝘩.... 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨??' I asked.

'𝘕𝘖 𝘐'𝘔 𝘕𝘖𝘛!! 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵..... 𝘑𝘪-𝘑𝘪𝘳𝘢𝘺𝘢!! 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵!!!??' Veldora cried out.

'Ohhhh.... He's watching those episodes right now huh??'

'𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶.' I told Veldora.

Veldora then cut the Telepathic link and returned to his weeping.

Well, that didn't work out...

But then I realized, I couldn't go around everywhere wearing something so flashy, so I decided to make another, more plain looking outfit.

After another few minutes of creation and alteration, it was ready.

It was much less eye-catching than the first, but would still get weird looks if worn back in my world.

However, it was perfect for this world, which existed in multiple eras of development and fashion all at once.

I would use the second outfit regularly, and when dealing woth humans, but the first outfit when dealing with monster and demon lords.

In terms of grade, both were Unique-Grade, so they would offer plenty of defense in battle.

Now I could finally look at least presentable. In fact, I looked quite nice in my opinion.

After that, me and Coatl just chilled. I chatted with him about things from my previous world.

Things about day-to-day life, various legends, stories, etc. It felt really good having someone to talk to about my previous world, since I still had some attachment to it.

And of course, like a good boy, Coatl listened to all of it, asking me questions to feed his curiosity.

He was particularly interested in the stories of mythological serpents like Jorgunmandr, Ouroboros, and Vasuki. They seemed to have lit a fire in him, I guess he saw them as inspiration.

Eventually, Coatl went to sleep around my neck.

'What to do now??'

This was a new concept to me, not needing to sleep. I didn't know what to do with the extra time.

'Hmmmm... I guess I can test out all my new abilities... Gain a better understanding and control over them.'

With that decision, 'Hey [Great Sage] can you tell me what all new abilities I have?'

Arts are techniques that a person can use apart from just skills. They can involve magic, swordsmanship, aura, etc. They are often a combination between skills, magic, aura manipulation and martial arts.

'[Ultra Acceleration] is pretty powerful... When I used it to get away from Gunther, it increased my speed by a LOT. [Explosive Mist] on the other hand, it's very useful and will be my primary ranged attack for quite a while, until I get some new skills or learn some magic.'

I should experiment with these powers. Let's see--

Activating the skill [Exploding Blood], I concentrated magicules in my index finger.

Letting the magicules build up a bit more, I condensed them at the tip of the finger.

*BOOM*

A bright red beam shot out at hyper-sonic speeds.

*BOOM* *CRACK* *BOOM*

It smashed into a tree and completely obliterated it, while also decimating the nearby area. This was the effect of adding [Ultra Acceleration] to the [Crimson Ichor]. Looking at the aftermath, it was a truly devastating attack.

The radius of destruction was at least 10-20 meters.

'I should be careful in using my skills from now on, because now I'm at the level where I can accidently cause insane damage to my surroundings and even allies....'

'Now I understand Milim's excitement when she got those power-dampening gloves from Rimuru. It must have felt nice to not have to constantly hold back all her power while playing and sparring. I'm starting to admire these powerhouses even more now. One slipup and they could accidently destroy the whole planet.'

Milim Nava is one of the Ancient demon lords and arguably the strongest being in the Cardinal World. A true Catastrophe-Rank monster. I planned to meet her soon. Or rather I planned so that she would come to me herself.

[Great Sage] had helped me come up with a basic plan for the next few months, based on my knowledge of the original story. I had no intentions to follow the canon story and repeat everything that Rimuru did. This is MY life, I will live it as I want.

But, I also know that there are many things that Rimuru did were amazing.... of course luck was also a factor. He met many people and went through many things that all contributed to him becoming so successful in his own story.

I will replicate many things that he did for my advantage, such as rescuing a certain insect. But all that comes later. First, I have to deal with the direwolf problem.

In the original story, after Rimuru ate Veldora, all the monsters in Jura, who were tamed by his presence suddenly became active and ambitious. The direwolf clan was also one such group, who sought to take control of the Jura Forest. The circumstances this time were a bit different, but it was still very likely that the direwolves would enter this area. That's why I had ordered my Legion to keep on the lookout for any suspicious activity in the forest.

There was also another major thing I noticed. [Great Sage] seemed much more interactive. Even it's abilities feel enhanced. I have a hypothesis on why this is happening.

The most probable reason is that when Ciel's fragment merged with [Great Sage], it somehow got enhanced and also strengthened it's ego. But that's a good thing. It means that Ciel successfully merged and also that I'm more powerful.

Just like that, 3 more days passed. I'd spent most of the time in the [Soul Realm]. This was because a large construction project had started. I had ordered for a town to be built, and the Legionaries were working tirelessly to make it happen.

There was also another project going on. We were starting a large mine in the [Soul Realm]. It's purpose was to mine the mysterious mineral that [Great Sage] had detected. Since it had properties similar to Magic ore, it was bound to be useful.

The Magic ore mining and Hipokute herb farming was also going well, in Veldora's cave.

'Now all that's left is to wait for the direwolves. Then I can take the next step.'

*WHOOSH*

"My Lord, direwolf activity has been spotted by the scouts in the nearby area. What are your orders." Rigur suddenly appeared from the darkness and reported.

"Tell the scouts to not engage. I will go deal with this myself." I ordered, smirking devilishly.

This chapter is also quite big, but with little action. However the direwolf arc is in the next chapter, so look forward to that.
