Brilliance of the Sun.

The Hero of the Sun was furious at the primordial demon's threat to him and his wife. His anger manifested in blazing flames that surrounded him, their intense heat even affecting the surrounding air.

The soldiers on the battlefield were soaked in sweat as their armor and weapons started to melt. They urgently erected barriers using the combined strength of all the mages, just barely managing to survive.

"Your flames are impressive, but they won't be enough to defeat me, you know? Hell has even hotter flames," taunted the demon, Primordial Purple. Her aura intensifying and corroding the surrounding atmosphere, all while wearing a smug smirk.

Without responding to her taunts, he vanished from his spot and appeared behind her in an instant. His speed shattered the sound barrier multiple times, creating shockwaves through the air.

"Not bad," she said with a smirk as she countered his strike by blocking with her sword, with some difficulty. She then attempted to strike at his head with the other sword.

Dodging by leaning his body backward, his eyes glowed as he unleashed a red-hot laser beam of magicules. Because the attack was hastily prepared, she managed to dodge it even though he had fired it point-blank.

The thrill of facing a strong and skillful opponent was visible on her face as she laughed and unleashed a flurry of sword strikes. He adeptly blocked each of them.

"This is great! So incredibly thrilling!" Her voice resounded as she skillfully evaded yet another spear strike aimed at her head. She then enshrouded herself in her poisonous aura, spinning to increase her momentum as she flew toward the fiery man.

He opted not to confront the attack head-on, not due to a lack of trust in his armor's ability to protect him, but out of concern that the attack might be intended to poison his soul and, by extension, Shizue's.

He was determined to avoid that outcome, so he leaned back and gripped his spear's handle between his two fingers. He drew it back to its maximum extent, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to swing it with all his might.

With her just about twelve meters away from him, he infused an enormous amount of magicules into his spear. He swung it at her with all his might, leaving a golden energy trail in its wake. In a single second, the energy streaked straight toward Violet.

"Solar Slash," he chanted calmly.

"Shit!" She cursed as her eyes widened, attempting her best to dodge. However, she couldn't fully evade the attack. In response, she decided to focus all her strength and energy into her body and blades, enhancing them to the maximum.

She had witnessed him channeling massive amounts of magic into his spear but had dismissed it as inconsequential. She never expected that a single mistake could lead to this.

The attack carried on, tearing through the clouds and venturing into outer space. It collided with asteroids, obliterating several of them due to its intense heat, surpassing even that of the sun.

Sensing no trace of Violet's magicules remaining in the realm, Karna glanced around and let out a sigh. The battlefield had been utterly devastated, resulting in the deaths of 20,200 people on his side of the battlefield. He could only hope that Shizue had managed to protect human lives.

Human souls were precious, and he now held over 20,000 human souls within his personal space. He had created this space a few years ago with the intention of storing magicules as a precaution.

"What am I even doing?" he asked himself, a solitary tear escaping from his eye. Now that the chaos of battle had subsided, his mind confronted the reality that he had taken the lives of over 30,000 people. Many of them likely had families, despite their role in attacking his nation.

Shaking his head and banishing the emotions that had surfaced to the deepest recesses of his heart, Karna descended to the battlefield. He sensed Shizue's presence along with the same magic caster he had noticed before. The magic caster's power was fluctuating, likely due to extreme fear.

As Karna's feet touched the ground, he proceeded toward Shizue's location. In front of her, there was a man with considerable magical power, securely bound by a potent magic rope she had created using her magicules. Naturally, the magic caster couldn't overpower her magic.

"So, what's the situation?" He inquired, walking to her side and clasping her hand with his, their fingers intertwined tightly with each other.

"Can you believe this guy thought he could seduce me with his magic?" Her tone carried both amusement and anger, reflecting the surrounding chaos. The king was present as well, missing his right hand, which had been cauterized by her fire. He sat on the rough ground, shaking every few minutes as he shivered.

With a cold, unrelenting gaze, Karna focused on the magic caster. He saw the man's soul directly and swung his spear, slicing through Razen's soul diagonally. This act not only took away his skills but also reduced his magic output to a mere speck compared to his previous power. It was the harshest punishment for a once-powerful magic caster.

Mages and magic casters were prideful and arrogant. They were also power-hungry. By destroying his pride and reducing his ability to use magic as he did previously, Karna had turned the man into a screaming mess, tormented by the pain of losing half his soul permanently, Razen's body also shriveled up, as if he had aged by decades. Grey hair began falling out...

Shizue nodded in agreement with Karna's actions. She had intended to incinerate the mediocre mage's soul with her eternal flames, but Karna's intervention resolved the issue. She couldn't help but smile, her husband's protectiveness was something she absolutely adored, and she enjoyed having his attention around the clock.

The sight of Razen's torment shocked everyone nearby. They couldn't fathom why their king had dared to challenge the nation's rulers, given the overwhelming power these two displayed.

"Do you understand the implications of your actions?" Karna's voice carried a weight of seriousness as he approached the king of Farmus. The king trembled in fear as he glanced at Shizue, who appeared nothing less than a true demon in his eyes.

Karna continued, without allowing the king to respond, "This means you will submit to my rule. Your kingdom shall become a vassal state, and this war, which you started out of arrogance and ignorance, has put your entire population at risk." His words struck the arrogant king deeply, for despite his arrogance, he cared for his people and now regretted his reckless actions.

He didn't understand why he had initiated a war with Anga. He was aware of the heroic rulers there, and although he desired Shizue, he wasn't foolish enough to believe he could defeat Anga.

His memories began to fade as he pondered why he had taken this course of action, as if something had erased a part of his recollection.

"I see." Gazing into the king's soul, Karna discerned the truth. The foolish king coveted his wife, but he was well aware that Shizue's heart was entirely devoted to him. Their souls were intricately entwined.

The king's memories had been subtly altered by his queen, rewiring the king's soul to a small extent. He marveled at the revelation of a unique skill capable of affecting and rewiring souls. He acknowledged that the queen posed too great a threat to be spared, and he decided to take care of her later.

A hand was placed on his shoulder, and he turned to see Shizue with a warm smile. He nodded and walked a bit away from the kneeling soldiers and the king. Standing side by side, he took his bow and drew the string. An arrow formed from his magicules, and he aimed it at the sky before releasing it.

That night, a sun made of golden magicules rose from the arrow and exploded, showering its brilliance upon the darkness of the night...

So, your friendly neighborhood author here, I'm here to inform you that I'm going to pause this story for a bit and start another one. Yep, I'm not that dedicated and consistent.

But don't worry, for those who read this story, the one I'm planning to write is also a Tensura story. The MC reincarnates as Carrion 500 years before canon. As you know, there's quite a lot of lore to explore. Don't worry, it's also a No Harem story, though there's a chance I'll pair him up with two female leads.

Edit : I've uploaded the first chapter of 'Tensura : Beast Master.' So go read it and also, leave your observations on the chapter.
