1 Flame King Dies

My name is Kazuma Mikura but my friends call me Kazu. I am the second-in-command of team Kogarasumaru an Air Treck team formed by Itsuki Mina (Ikki) my best friend.

Air Trecks or ATs are high tech motorized inline skates that were originally designed as a revolutionary new propulsion system that combined efficient energy circuits and an energy recovering system. This technology was not designed with inline skating in mind. The biggest "thrill" of Air Trecks is the precisely calibrated air cushion system, which gives these self-propelled trick skates their juice, allowing the Riders to "fly"...

AT riders like me all have a different road we ride mine is the Apollon road. to use this road you have to use fast and precise attacks to freeze the movement of their victims. These tricks are collectively referred to as "Time". The rider of this road moves at extremely high speeds, often disappearing from view. I can also ride on any road but if I do it could cost me.

My road is the second-best road. Yeah, Ikki's road is the best he is the sky king. No matter what it is Ikki had a natural talent. I had always had to work my ass off but he got it easy. He can beat anyone in a street fight. His skill as a rider was so good they always pushed his A-T's to the limit.

I didn't understand why even meeting people and getting away with stuff was easier or him. maybe it was his natural charisma. Even I got along with him even after he used to steal my stuff and bully me as a kid. Girls found him funny and cute even though he is a massive pervert.

In a year of riding, we became the best team...but all I was known is as Ikki's sidekick, People would say Kazu prefers to stay in the background and gets nervous when he's in the spotlight; I was often teased by friends and enemies alike for not having a noticeable presence. Though I was overshadowed by Ikki and others, I have gotten used to this and finds strength in being a "weak" person who refuses to give up.

Don't get it twisted I said I was the second strongest and that wasn't an overstatement. I mean in all the Storm riders or people who have A-T's I am the second best. Ikki went telling everyone if they want to challenge him they have to face Kazu first unless you are a hot girl...Oh and they did... I won all of them. The only one I never beat was the strongest Ikki. We fought lots of times. Sometimes It would end in a draw but I never beat him...

One of my teammates told me to try different things in order to come up with some ideas to beat him. So I tried music and learned lots of old and new songs. However, all I got is a girlfriend which isn't a bad loss. Plus My music skills were amazing we even had an album. Emily Adachi seemed to have liked me for a long time and joined our team just because of me...and here I thought she liked Ikki

I learned from all my friends how A-T's work and understanding function well it ended up with him having to give the girl who was in love with Ikki lots of pictures of him and his underwear.., Then I learned about V/r and how it works but I had to help him with his dating games luckily I learned from one of my other teammates...he forced me to become a male host when they were short one at his new club a, wrestling well I was forced to learn it. growing up with Ikki eldest sister using me as a dummy to practice her moves....considering she is the strongest woman alive that wasn't fun but she is hot.

After a while, I think people started forgetting that I was trying to beat Ikki and thought I was a free help because they would go.

"hey Kazu I am needing some help at my restaurant can you help me on Tuesday at 3 pm."

Which Emily would respond "sorry he is busy he has construction till 3.330 how about 4 pm for an hour"

"oh you are killing me but ok"

Yup without my knowledge appointments were made.. but then it happened. I thought of a new technique. Its a very strong technique but I can only do it once ... I didn't know how dangerous that technique was at the time...If I had only had known.

"Ikki I challenge you to an F rank Dash "

"Hey, aren't you getting too old for these challenges?"

"well, this will be my last time challenging you and were the same age what do you mean old."

"haha well, I'll make sure to beat you. Its a wedding gift to you."

'our final Parts war before I get married...'

Dash is a simple race to a finish line; the person to get there first wins the battle. Dash matches are carried out in a series of one-on-one races,

"we will race to Simca house"

"alright. Let us start in 60 seconds." Ikki planing his tricks to cheat

"oh yeah if I win..I will tell her you to want to marry her."

"AHHHHH" Ikki screams with terror

"well no worries well Ringo may kill you than herself after oh hope I don't get there first" Kazu got into crouching style and then disappears

"damn you Kazu I'll kill you" but that was better said than done Kazu was a speed rider however Ikki isn't the best for nothing "Super Extra Velocity " he flew in the sky at shocking speeds starting to attack Kazu with the wind blast however that was just a mirage. then Ikki tried his Moon Drop Missiles ( he creates a dense sphere of air and hammers the opponent with it. It is powerful enough to create a single, large crater on a concrete floor and incapacitate human enemies caught in the radius.) Kazu using his time tech he barely avoids it but Ikki didn't stop and one pushed him down.

Kazu knowing his moves used the Time Shield to block and send him forward then he used the Flames of Time to fire numerous blasts of energy at Ikki, inflicting serious damage. Ikki begins to get serious and started to attack more aggressively. So did Kazu. They continued to race using techniques destroying tons of buildings then they saw her house"haha she seems to have noticed us Ikki and is outside...I won't lose to you" Kazu blasted off and Ikki used his best technique, Astral Magus, a technique that can calm a storm. recreates the effect of "space", as well as the calm center of a storm and Kazu, sees this and his beany falls off and he does his new technique Phenix wing chop. A technique that temporary destroys the technique of the user...and use it to make its attack stronger but Kazu still receives some of the attacks and both are blasted far away...Kazu landed near the house and stands up and says "I W..o and falls. " Ikki gets up complaining "that didn't count 2 out of 3. He went up to Kazu and saw his body and saw that he had cuts all over his body and saw his heart had stopped...The technique was too powerful for his heart and he had a heart attack and died

"that's how the flame king died...only in death did I surpass him...damn it. it took my next death to be stronger than him. I swear in my next life I won't be second to no one and be the greatest athlete of all time...Not that King Yama would allow me to remember anything."

"how long am I suppose to stay here? Isn't there suppose to be someone to pick me up...its been a year. I saw my own funeral...I was named the number 1 rider. but someone...ikki has in small print 'but has only one once and never technically won the Dash'.

After another year a woman appears in front of Kazu

"Hi, I'm the grim reaper! My name is Botan I'm here to take you to the afterlife"She smiled looking at him.

"..." Kazu just looks at her. She is quite attractive. Botan has long blue hair pulled up into a ponytail and purple eye. She is wearing a light-pink kimono with a white obi sash. She was very beautiful but "your kind of late aren't you"

"...it was the traffic...sorry" She bows "actually there was a mistake"

"a mistake like I wasn't supposed to die? Then does that mean I can go back to my body again and fight demons with you?"

"what are you talking about? You've been dead for far too long beside you overtaxed your body and had a ruptured aorta...as for demons"

"there's no such things as demons?" Kazu looks down

"No, this world has no demons...maybe its due to the advanced technology?" She mumbles but he couldn't hear her. "You were accidentally sent here"

"huh"

"It wasn't me but yeah you were supposed to go to another world, but due to unforeseen circumstances you ended up here" she thought of his past life 'Yeah the shinigami who took you last thought you were hot and called herself chan but you said to her while your pretty aren't you too old to be called chan and she got mad and accidentally pushed you into this world...but lets not say this'

"so?"

"that's why you didn't shine here. Isn't that good"

"..."

"so you will go to a new world with your memories intact"

"..." Kazu just stared at her

"...umm I can't give you powers or anything..."

"I want to be born into a rich family and powerful family and I'm the eldest son. "

"alright" She takes him down to the reincarnation pool "she signs some paperwork and stamps Kazu head"

"Alright, you just need to go through that vortex. It will take a few years for your memory to come back"

"...that's fine...so just jump through there?"

"yup easy right"

He jumps through the vortex and after 5 years he gets his memories back...to find he is being trained by his grandfather...no beat up
