3 Chapter 3 — Wait What? I'm Tang San!!

Ye Chen woke up. He felt everything was like dream. He could not believe that he got reborn as a newborn child.

Like any other isekai novel, he expected his soul to transmigrate and take over the body of some young teenager, who died unjustly, betrayed by his family, friends and lover.

But to his surprise, he was reborn as a newborn.

"What the Fuck!"

Ye Chen felt bitter about seeing such a young body, thinking about how long it would take him to soak the beauties of this world, nourishing them with his essence.

[Author: Amitabha! What a shameless child! The first thing that comes to his mind after reincarnating is to soak in beauty!

Please Lord Buddha bestow your blessings upon this hopeless child & purify his tainted heart and mind. Amitabha!]

Ye Chen was annoyed with the author for making him reborn such young. He cursed and complained about the author endlessly.

[Author: Amitabha! Everyone should be respectful and polite to this monk! Child Ye Chen, you shouldn't be rude to your benefactor, who made you reborn, giving you the protagonist aura.]

[Ye Chen: .....?????..be.Shameless Author!...]

He felt it was a detrimental and a huge blow to his majesty as the Protagonist of the Novel.

Ye Chen tried opening his eyes but he felt his vision, be somewhat foggy. After blinking his eyes a few more times, Ye Chen felt his vision return to normal.

He then looked around to see where he was. But from what it looked like, Ye Chen guessed he was indoors in a wooden house.

Together with the smell of dense wood, a sound of firewood crackling could be heard.

Finally, he had survived, one way or another.

Ye Chen felt afraid whenever he remembered the sensation of those energies wreaking havoc on his soul.

He became depressed whenever he thought of the pain and it was all thanks to the mysterious ring.

Had it not absorbed those energies and fed him back, he wouldn't have had to go through such hellish pain of torture.

Ye Chen did not remember anything after he fainted. But it looks like God has not abandoned him after all and took sympathy on him & granted him another chance at life.

Though it was as a newborn but it's still better than wandering around in the void as a lonely soul.

[Author: It was not God, but me!! Boy, At least you should be grateful that I gave you a chance to rebirth.]

Ye Chen blamed the Black Ring for the pain he had to endure earlier.

Now that he remembered about the Ring, Ye Chen searched for it all over his body but he did not see it anywhere.

For a second he freaked out thinking he lost his money.

That was a real treasure and a real baby!! It followed his soul even after death.

How can an artefact like it be ordinary?

Unable to find the ring, Ye Chen was aggravated, thinking he had lost such a heaven-defying item.

Ye Chen cursed as he felt that destiny was playing a cruel joke upon him.

[Ye Chen felt the author was bullying him too much.]

[Ye Chen: You thief author, give me back my Ring!]

Suddenly Ye Chen was enlightened as he remembered something.

The mysterious Black Ring could follow him even after his death. So it might have possibly followed him to rebirth.

Ye Chen did not panic. He knew the ring was able to follow him even after his death so now also it must have followed him. It was just that he was too young to unveil the ring and the power it holds.

And as for not being able to find the ring. Ye Chen guessed he was too young to summon it for the time being.

[Author: Bingo!! There you got it! I didn't know you were so smart!]

[Ye Chen: ...!! ] (There were a few black lines on his forehead)

He did not ponder about this issue anymore & tried focusing on his surrounding. As he wanted to know where he was in.

The stifling pain that Ye Chen had in this new body also disappeared after some time as he gradually adapted to it. Now he was able to move his hands and feet freely.

And perhaps because the fogginess in his eyes was gone, he was able to open them.

Ye Chen's biggest question was, 'whether he was reincarnated on earth or another planet?' Because it would determine his future path to invincible – Whether practise Qi Force or master Magic.

Ye Chen looked at the surroundings, only to see a seemingly older but burly and stalwart middle-aged man looking at him.

The man had a haggard, & drunken face. His long brown hairs and beards were messy and unkempt like a bird's nest.

"Is he a beggar?" Thought Ye Chen in his mind.

Putting aside his retort, Ye Chen looked at the burly man who saved him with cute little eyes.

To give his expression of gratitude, Ye Chen called out.

"Aiauo—"

To Ye Chen's disappointment, his tongue again didn't move too well.

Ye Chen was shocked because all the pain had already gone away, so he wondered if it was because he suffered a disorder.

Hearing the cry of little Ye Chen, the man came over.

"☆◎○▽◇□※▽△"

As expected, he still couldn't understand the spoken words.

Looking at little Ye Chen the man blinked in surprise and smiled at him tenderly. He then brought little Ye Chen a bowl of soup to feed.

Ye Chen stared wide-eyed at the hand moving to feed him; it was indeed embarrassing for him to be fed like a baby.

[Author: Sigh! The man would have fainted if he knew, a 6-month-old baby had the soul of a 22-year-old.]

At the bottom of his sight, Ye Chen saw a hand of a child. It was no doubt that it was his own hand.

To get familiar with the body movements, Ye Chen tried moving his hand.

The burly man tilted his head with a puzzled expression, looking at Ye Chen.

"This old man, doesn't he look too big?"

The man then looked at Ye Chen with a worried expression on his face and held up a spoonful of soup to his mouth.

Ye Chen drank it slowly like an obedient child.

The man's worried expression eased as Ye Chen drank all the soup in the bowl.

When Ye Chen finished everything in the bowl, the man stroked his head with love, tenderness and a complicated expression.

The man looked absent-minded like he was reminiscing something from the past as his expression seemed sad and lonely.

Ye Chen looked at the man with scrutinising gaze. He had a feeling that he knew this muscular man as he had a vague impression of him. But could not recall where he saw the man.

Once his stomach was full, Ye Chen soon became sleepy and immediately fell asleep.

With that, his consciousness faded away.

''As I thought, this man is too big.''

He really was.

* * * * * * * * * *

The next day, when Ye Chen woke up, he tried to verify the surroundings once more.

He had apparently been reborn into a baby. But he was having a hard time accepting this sad reality.

No, no! Just how the hell did he turn into a baby?!

But nevertheless, this seemed to be reality.

"Sleeping and awakening twice, it seemed this is definitely not a dream. Then, even if we assume it is a reality. But how the hell did I turn into a baby?"

Ye Chen was lying in the bed and thinking.

His cute, innocent-looking outside appearance is just a contrast to his inner mature self. While thinking so, the answer arrived quickly and unexpectedly.

The man who helped him walked to the fireplace and ignited the fire right from his hand.

Ye Chen who saw this was astonished.

"Magic??"

That word crossed Ye Chen's mind. But he soon denied the fact because the process of summoning the fire was quite different from what he read and saw about magicians and spell casters in novels and animes.

Ye Chen saw a pale yellow halo appear around the seemingly beggar like burly man as a yellow coloured ring gradually appeared around his body out of thin air.

With the appearance of the yellow ring around his body, the casual temperament of the man changed to a majestic one.

His messy hairs and his rag-torn robes fluttered with the surge in his aura giving him an aura of invincibility.

Ye Chen was deeply affected by the change in the person's aura.

Ye Chen felt an aura of invincibility emitting from the person as if it was deep in his bone.

Ye Chen felt strange as he was affected by the change in the person's aura but the burly man did not notice the change.

Ye Chen somehow felt familiar with the yellow coloured ring. But he could not recall where he had seen it.

Ye Chen had no work other than eating, sleeping and lying on the bed. He usually looked around the house from his bed to pass his boring time, only to find there were no modern appliances.

Although the place looked like it was still during the primitive era, the standard of living didn't seem low.

From a modern person's way of thinking, it would be feasible enough if one would think the situation was rather odd.

''This place is definitely not Earth.''

Ye Chen's conclusion was strengthened further after seeing all these 'fantasy-themed staffs that one would usually see in novels, animes and Manhuas'.

There was no such thing as magic on Earth.

Perhaps it did exist, it's just that Ye Chen just didn't know or had come in contact with.

However, even after assuming "magic does indeed exist,". But from what Ye Chen saw of the state of the house, it was suggestive that this place was not Earth.

Given the situation, why was he here?

Not Earth, but a world where magic or supernatural power exists.

He himself has turned into a baby.

A language he couldn't even understand.

The answer he arrived at after considering the situation was…

"Reincarnation"

A situation that could only happen out of fantasy was readily accepted.

Because the memory he had regarding the death of his previous life was rather vague, it was probably he encountered some kind of accident and seemingly died without any knowledge.

But now was not the time to think about it. In his past life, his birth parents left him to survive for himself in the streets, having not received their love and affection.

Though he was later adopted by a generous old man as his grandchild, everything changed when the old man died. He was abused and beaten by the family. The only person to care about him was his adoptive mother.

…When Ye Chen looks back on such life, it was impossible not to feel sad…

To be reincarnated in a world where magic exists; everyone must have thought of such things at least once. But now, he experienced the reality of 'being reborn with the memories of the past.'

While being thrilled about the fact, the stalwart man who helped him once again brought a bowl of soup.

Again, after his stomach was full, his consciousness drifted away as he fell asleep.

No matter how excited he was, Ye Chen could not oppose the sleepiness coming from the body of someone who is not yet a year old.

* * * * * * * * * *

"Tang Hao, how can you be so careless. He is your own child..."

Ye Chen woke up, rubbing his eyes, hearing the sound of an argument, that disturbed his peaceful sleep. Ye Chen was displeased being woken up in the middle of sleep.

"What the hell, why don't you guys give Lao Tzu some peace! You all disturbed my peaceful sleep."

Ye Chen cursed out angrily but the only word that came out of his little immature tongue was

"Ai-o-ai-o-you".

The stalwart man with unkempt hair was Tang Hao. He was a generation of peerless powerhouse who was once known throughout the Continent as 'Houtian Douluo'. He was even widely acknowledged as the youngest Title Douluo of Douluo Mainland.

But no one could imagine such a peerless figure was now a drunkard and worked as a blacksmith in the remote village of Holy Soul.

Tang Hao stood quietly, as he was getting lectured by the Village Chief Jack.

If village elder Jack knew Tang Hao's identity he would have thought twice before being presumptuous in front of him.

"Tang Hao, how can you be so indifferent to your newborn child, just because of the sadness and grief of losing your wife. Your first priority is now to take care of him but all you can do is remain intoxicated in alcohol. This will change nothing. If your wife was still alive, she would have hoped you to take care of both your son."

"...."

Tang Hao was silent listening to the village chief Jack's scolding.

Jack was displeased seeing Tang Hao remain silent. He could not accept Tang Hao's half-hearted way of taking care of his son.

But what Village Chief did not know was that Tang Hao was having a very painful heartache thinking about his deceased wife, who sacrificed to him to protect their child.

Tang Hao clenched his hand tightly in grief. Jack did not notice any change in his expression as Tang Hao had hidden it very deeply.

As village chief, it was duty to look after every family. He did not know much about Tang Hao, only that he moved here a few months ago with the baby in his arms.

When asked about the baby, all he would answer is that it was his child and that his wife died giving birth to the child.

The village chief sympathised with the little child, for having such a pathetic drunkard as a father.

Jack then took out two jars of milk from his cloth bag, which he carried with him for the little guy, and handed them to Tang Hao.

"Don't feed soup to the child, he's still too young. Try giving him some milk."

Saying so Jack walked away staggering, supported by the cane in his hand.

Tang Hao did not have any change in his expression. Though his eyes looked indifferent, he was grateful to the old man Jack for his concern.

Ye Chen who lay in the bed listening to the conversation between the two was in a deep shock.

Wait what! Tang Hao.....Village Chief Jack... Yellow Coloured Ring – Soul Ring....Tang Hao's Son.....

He was frozen unable to compile the sudden influx of information in his brain.

Ye Chen remembered, once reading the story of Douluo Dalu, even watching the anime.

Though it was his favourite anime at that time but he hated the MC, Tang San who was his least favourite character in Douluo Universe.

Tang San because of his selfishness killed Bibi Dong and even crippled Qian Renxue, who was in love with him.

Because of his father's hatred of the previous pope, he destroyed the Spirit Hall paving a way for Sun and Moon Continent to invade the Douluo mainland.

Tang San even sent his family members to the Douluo continent once in 10,000 years to rob its Qi Luck and heavenly fortune. He even made his father the planar lord of the Douluo Planet and his mother the core of it - just to give them eternal life.

He had the power to revive Xiao Wu's mom being the Head of the Divine Realm Council and Ruler of the Douluo Divine Realm but he held back.

Let alone others he even did not take his teacher, Yu Xiaogong to the Divine Realm who took him as an adopted son and let him die of old age in the Douluo Continent.

But among all these what Ye Chen found more hilarious was Tang San's righteousness and his way of claiming justice even when he himself killed the original Tang San and occupied his body.

[Author: You yourself have also occupied Tang San's body.]

[Ye Chen: That doesn't count, because I was born naturally as Tang San, without occupying his body! ]

[Author: Sorry to tell you, but you took over Tang San's body after he died from a brain haemorrhage when Tang Hao was chased all the way by the Spirit Hall.]

Moreover, Ye Chen was dissatisfied with many other things.

[Author: Let's keep those for another day. Otherwise, it will take all your time. Hehe!]

But now he was reborn as Houtian Douluo, Tang Hao's son – Tang San.

Ye Chen could not help but weep bitterly, he was reborn as the character he hated the most in Douluo Franchise.

Moreover, Ye Chen liked Ah Yin in the anime, seeing her beautiful and slim appearance with those two big voluptuous melons!!

But guess what, he is now reborn as Tang San, her son!

[Ye Chen: Fuck you, author.....for such a horrible plot!]

[Author: Hehe!....]

[Ye Chen: Guess what, I'll take her for myself. No matter how much you change your plotline.]

(A determined look can be seen on Ye Chen's face brimming with lust and fighting spirit.)
