16 Wielder of The Sapphire Pendant

His scream echoed through the entire place before slowly diminishing. The people who were still inside couldn't help but look at each other in confusion. They could feel the sadness, the anger, and most importantly the thirst for vengeance.

"A scream that could even shut the crashing wave, no wonder Mad God brought him here."

"Though he is still a kid, I could feel the bone-chilling killing intent started to grow out from its seed."

"Indeed, if he kept that up, we would have a promising junior to take care of."

The three people that brought Sein along with Mad God was nodding at each other. Though they didn't know what he was expecting of such little kid, it won't take even a day for them to realize Mad God's keen eyes.

Meanwhile, inside the physician room. Sein was on his knees as he let down both of his arms. His eyes were bloodshot but his expression was hidden by his hair.

Crossing his arms, Mad God asked with a smile on his face, "Then what will you do?"

Sein replied softly, "All of them, betrayed me, every single one of them, betray me and Grandpa Jing."

He looked at the man who saved him in the eye before continuing, "Every single one of them, shall perish by my hands, and mine alone!"

"Good! That's what I want to hear! Old man, heal this kid on my account, your training starts after you can cultivate."

Mad God immediately left on his own accord before halting by the door, "Though the training might feel like you are threading back and forth between Heaven and Hell, I'm sure you can get through with it, I have high hopes for you kid."

The sound of the door closing was soon followed by a sigh from the hunch-back old man, "That youth always do what he wants."

(Then again, I wonder if the kid is lucky or unlucky, to be trained under Mad God, so far none of the disciples he ever trains, lives).

"Kid, stand up straight."

"Huh?"

Sein instinctively stood up before the old man slowly approached him. "What are you? Gah!"

The old man suddenly thrust his stick to different spots of his body under blinding speed. His frail hand moved as if the snake was launching at its prey.

Sein got his knees on the ground again before he coughed with his spits staining the floor.

"You are a very lucky kid, well at least in your case. Usually, the cure for sealed meridians would make you redo your entire cultivation from the bottom," said the old man while taking a pill from the pill case. The pill looked really ordinary and nothing special was engraved on it.

"But you, you never even started yet, haha!"

Suddenly he flickered the pill right inside Sein's mouth before his throat did the rest.

*thump

Sein's eyes opened wide before he felt his body was really light. His senses immediately enhanced before he slowly stood up and watched both of his palms.

"Kid, try and absorb the ki in this room, though it's not dense, it is enough for a baby hahaha!"

Sein closed his eyes before he entered a concentration state without wasting any moment. His action caught the initially laughing old man to furrow his eyebrows. (Amazing, this kid, he enters that state so naturally and flawlessly, interesting, interesting hahaha!).

(This feeling, is so, new, it's coming!) he suddenly opened his eyes before his body illuminated with a flash.

"Congrats kid, you leveled up, though I'm not that surprised considering your former level, hahaha! Wait a minute, you do know what are the cultivation level grades right?"

Knuckling his hand tight, he answered, "Of course, the first realm is Body-Tempering, then Transforming, and the last one is Samsara. Each of whom divided into three levels of early, intermediate, and advanced."

The old man laughed once again, "Samsara is the last one? looks like your knowledge is still limited, ah well just leave already, you're healed, but you better rest for the day inside your room and settle your heart, Mad God won't have any mercy in his training."

Before long he found himself alone in his room. His eyes turned moist as the warm liquid started to run across his cheeks. He remembered the old man who was always believed in him that he could cultivate that miracle indeed exist.

Holding at the pendant Old Jing gave him, he took a deep breath. "You're right grandfather, a miracle does exist-Oh no."

The pendant slipped from his hand and dropped on the floor with a thud. The sapphire gem was gleaming with the light it reflected from the candles. He hurriedly crouched down before a sting of pain ran across his body. The bandages around his body splurted out before a spray of blood stained the pendant.

He was breathing heavily before his vision turned blurry. He felt his head was weightless before he wobbled around and managed to hold his ground with his hand holding on to the desk. (Guess I'm not fully recovered yet).

After the dizziness reduced down he slowly picked up the stained pendant before noticing the blood was already gone when he held it. He furrowed his eyebrows as he took a good look toward the object.

"Hmm, I'm certain I saw my blood spraying on it," said Sein before he jerked his shoulders, "Probably just my imagination after all."

As soon as he put on the necklace, the sapphire gem shone on his chest. His heart thumped twice before the scenery in front of him changed as if his very being was transferred flawlessly. His pupils were immediately shrunken before he gulped his saliva.

He was standing on top of a podium with circular stairs leading down to every direction. There was no sun, no clouds, no building, no streets, only a sea of floating giant crystals that was neatly placed all around.

Sein walked down the stairs before approaching one of the giant crystals. His gaze slowly moving up before noticing the thing inside it. He knew about it, he was very familiar with it.

"A twin sword?"

He furrowed his eyebrows before noticing both hilts were shaped like a dragon's tail. He glanced at the other crystals before realizing they were all weapons, daggers, kunai, flail, spears, and all of them didn't look ordinary like the one he would find in a weapon shop or blacksmith.

His sight returned to the twin swords before he sighed, "What is this place."

Unbeknownst to him, his desire to wielding that twin sword grew higher and higher as he kept looking at it before in one blink of an eye he was returned to the real world.

*boom

"So heavy! What was that I was holding?"

The dust settled down before his heart started to race as he saw what was it. He quickly rubbed his eyes, blinking several times, but the reality didn't change. The twin sword he saw inside the giant crystal had already cracked his floor by a mere gentle fall from his hands.
