17 Promising Youth! Challenging Two Gold Rank!

With his breath breathing hard, he struggled to even lift up one of the twin swords in front of him. His veins started to bulge before he let go of the weapon with another loud boom to the floor. His condition turned to worse as the blood kept spraying as he tensed his stomach muscles. However, a smile was shown from his face.

"There was a vision of a silhouette training the twin sword when I try to lift it up but it soon vanishes when I let go."

He glanced at the twin sword before talking to it, "Is it your past owner?"

People might call him crazy if they saw him talking to a dead object not to mention a weapon. But in the eyes of Sein, the weapon was the gift from his ancestor, both of his grandparents.

"Now, then how do I- huh?"

The twin sword suddenly blurred before it vanished under his very own eyes. Just with a thought, the weapon vanished but the floor was still cracked. He instinctively touched the Sapphire Pendant before a smile built unto his face. He couldn't wait for the future, the future in which he will present himself to the masses, to the people that called him trash.

"Are you ready?"

Sein found himself facing a dummy with five daggers on his waist. The distance between them was quite far and the sunlight didn't manage to illuminate the entire room.

Mad God who was still topless, was standing beside a man who seemed to oversee Sein's training with a clipboard in his hands. Meanwhile, there were others who wore a black cloak who took an interest in this event.

"Are you sure, this kid is only at an entry-level of Body Tempering realm."

"Hush! We are here to see how this goes, the Mad God finally found another disciple, would he fail and die like the rest of them?"

"God, I remember this training and only managed to hit three of the daggers, even then I was at advanced-level of Body Tempering."

Mad God nodded before the man beside him shouted, "Go!"

He could hear the single breath Sein was taking before he furrowed his eyebrows. In his eyes, the movement Sein made was slow but in reality, it was a different matter.

The daggers immediately broke the wind as Sein threw them with his eyes sharpen. The sound of the dagger slit the air was heard before the dummy slightly shook and pieces of its hay fell down.

"Oi did you see that? His finger is so nimble and natural when he threw it."

"Yeah, but that didn't matter if he couldn't hit the target."

The man with the clipboard approached the dummy with a torch on his other hand. As soon as the light illuminated the target, his mouth went agape before the clipboard fell to the ground with a thud.

"Impossible!"

"Are you shitting me?"

"T-t, I can't even say anything."

The man stuttered as he said, "F-f-five out of f-five. T-three on the neck and two on the e-eyes. A new record."

A smile was present on Mad God's face as he crossed his arm (To think that I found a kid who broke my record, not to mention a perfect score. Two directly on the eyes to feint the enemy of the incoming three, all that lack is more raw speed).

Sein approached the man with red flaming hair before saying, "Next!"

"Damn that youth is crazy!"

"What short life he has lived."

However, contrary to their expectations, Mad God actually smiled before answering, "Continue!"

Without further ado, the training continued as daybreak came to a close. This was only the first day of his training and Sein already broke records.

"Throwing javelin! ten out of ten! Perfect Score!"

"Quickdraw sword technique, flawless and precise! Perfect Score!"

"Nunchaku technique, one hundred blows in one minute! New Record!"

"Axe throwing! Boomerang throwing! Trap set! Archery! Even a scythe technique?!"

Sein was panting heavily as he pushed his arms against his knees. His ears jerked up as he heard a footstep coming to him before he looked up to see the smiling Mad God.

"Final training for the day, hand-to-hand combat, I'll be your partner."

His statement caused a commotion toward the now crowded spectators. Sein's feat slowly spread all-around as almost all of them with a different color of dagger-earrings gathered to see the new kid.

"You're mad!"

A shout suddenly filled the room as one man stepped out of the crowd. He had a well-built figure and a brown beard to compensate for his bald hair. His face was chiseled and was a head taller than the Mad God. His torso was blatantly seen as the sweat on his body was still visible. It seemed he was also training before watching Sein. However, what concerned them the most was the gold dagger-earring on his right ear. Both of them were on the same level.

"It's King Viper."

"I heard he just returned from a mission, but it looks like he already done a set of his training as well."

Mad God furrowed his eyebrows before facing up and looked at King Viper in the eyes. The two men immediately set the atmosphere heavy as their ki clashed. None of them were backing down as the ground slightly ruptured just from their staring contest.

"Wanna do it? Viper?!"

Veins bulged out of Viper's forehead before he grinned, "Looks like you've grown bored over the last few months, Mad God?!"

Sein suddenly stood up before calming his breath, "Let's do it, one last hurdle for the day."

His voice caught their ki to a halt. Their eyes immediately glanced at the tattered kid who clearly needed to rest. "I'll take both of you on at the same time, as long as you exert the power of the same level as mine."

Mad God was wildly smiling before he opened his crossed arms, "Good, that's what I was expecting!"

King Viper shook his head, "You need to rest kid, our stage is not ready for you yet, but I'm sure you can achieve it in the near future."

"Wow, an acknowledgment from King Viper!"

"That kid is promising!"

Mad God shook his head before saying with his index finger risen up, "I'll be using one finger against you kid, that's the most I can do to match your level."

"Alright, the-?!"

Sein didn't even manage to blink before a fist already arrived at his face, "I lied."

The force immediately sent his vision to a pitch-black dark. He didn't even feel the pain of the impact as his consciousness fled away.
