15 Chapter 15 - Windy Weather

I genuinly thought I'd die. Somehow, I didn't. And somehow, the gas was gone, not me.

I looked around for the source of this miracle, panickingly. I noticed, that the gas was somehow surrounding the head of Bossman, who was struggling to stay on his feet.

As he stumbled, and fell down on his knees, a strong reverbaration could be felt. He was a big dude after all. Quickly thinking logically, I looked in the exact other direction, and noticed that Francis was extending his left arm toward me, and quickly changing his stance into a thumbs up.

I knew at that point that it was somehow him. After that, I felt a little breeze, and I started to slowly put together what had happened. Does Francis have a sort of wind-based [Power]? Was that why he said that we'll see it in action?

"Thanks!" I shouted.

Russel looked really puzzled, but thanks to that, I managed to get back on my feet again. I jumped up from the ground, and I took a fighting pose, with my [Greed Binder] in my hands once again. Without pausing, I lashed out again, to bind my foe in some manner.

"You know you can't win against me, right?" he asked me, trying to taunt.

"Right back at you," I taunted back.

Our fight was mostly just a psychological one. I'd like to say we were evenly matched, but I'd lie. He definitely had the upper hand with his battle oriented power. Although [Nerve Toxin] was really hard to deal with, if we could entirely get rid of it, that would make this battle decided in mere moments.

While I was trying to hold Russel at bay, I noticed that Baulder is entirely free of his opponent. Bossman seemed to have fainted, and now is on the ground, convulsing. Most be a horrible way to go.

The other side of the battlefield was slowly running out of opposition. There were about a hundred guards in total on the ground, most of them dead. Meda and Francis were dealing the final blows to their enemies, which meant that they'd be able to back me up sooner, rather than later.

"Okay Russel, I think it's time we ended this squabble," I taunted once again.

"Squabble, is it? You're right, it's time you headed back to your cells," he replied. What a good comeback.

"Heh, and I thought you were a sour bitch," I said.

"That aside, I'd like to know something," he started, "What's that [Power] of yours? It wasn't [Charm] after all."

"Yeah, it wasn't. It's much more than that. My [Temptation] you see, is higher tier than you could imagine," I explained.

"Higher tier? What, [High Tier]?" he asked back, puzzled.

"I said higher than you could imagine. It's [God Tier]." I replied.

"There's not such a thing as God Tier. Don't lie to me," he said, agravated. He thought I'm lying, probably.

"You'll see for yourself, then."

I looked over at the last few guards alive. I reached out to one of them that seemed to be more or less healthy with my Binder, and pulled him right to me.

"Kill yourself." I ordered.

With that, the guard pulled out a knife, and stabbed himself in the throat, severing half of his head in the process. I threw him to the ground, and looked at Russel. He seemed to be in shock. Couldn't understand what exactly happened.

"Did you think, that I, a fresh highschool graduate would have the authority over one of the most vicious criminals in here? Did you think I could just order Sto Statman around? Not like that, I couldn't. Not as a student. What your daughter, Claire told you, about the mystery of me killing Kevin, was all true. I told him to kill himself. I ordered him to do it," I told him, with the craziest expression I could muster on the face. It was all a delibarate sham, but it was all that I needed. A way that he'd think I'm the lowest of the low. Someone he can't reach, "All this time, dear Russel, I've been controlling you as well," I lied, "You've been playing right into my hands. And you know what? After I kill you, the next one will be Claire."

He looked alarmed, and somewhat devastated. It seemed like he lost all hope. That usual smug face of his distorted into pure fear. Shame that's not the base of my [Power], I'd be unstoppable then. I let out a villainous laugh, so heinous, that it reverbarated both in the walls, and in the bones of everything.

Of course, it was all a lie. Something to frighten them. Somehow I had to win this fight, and if it was deception, then by the gods, I was willing to do anything. Thankfully, most of my people seemed to understand what I was doing, but Meda still seemed a bit confused.

"Would you please die for me?" I asked him. deliberately not ordered him. I didn't want to end this fight with a cheat power. I wanted to show him that I could win without it.

He stood there in shock, waiting to see what would happen. If he would have had a weaker mind, I assume he'd have passed out by now, but he didn't, obviously.

He waited to see what would happen. That was exactly what I was waiting for. A good opening. I launched my Binders at him, tying him up once again. I slowly started to walk up to him. Just before getting to him, I released my right hand's Binder, which would still stay attached to him. I reached behind his back, and pulled his gun out of it's holster. I aimed it at his head.

"It was nice knowing you. Anything you'd want to tell your daughter?" I asked, politely.

"You are the worst human being! You should burn in Hell!" he exclaimed.

"That's really what you want to tell her? What a shitty dad. Just like mine," I laughed, "By the way, I didn't use my [Temptation] on you. That was a lie," and with that I pulled the trigger. Blood splattered all over the place, yet I found myself smiling.

I just killed a man, and I was happy to do it. He deserved it.

Soon silence fell on the area. Even the fighting in the hall ceased, when they realized what had happened.

I looked over at my friends, and they all nodded. They dealt with all the guards, and now we could leave.

"Well done, Godly One," the speakers resounded. It was the Inspector, "I stopped the security lockdown, as planned. You can escape now."

"Thanks!" I said, even though I knew he wouldn't hear us.

This was part of the plan. Once we killed the Vice-Warden, Inspector Malcolm would unlock the gates for us. Question was: Will we be able to just run out? Will the other Vice-Wardens show up on our way out?

I waved at the rest of the guys, and started running towards the first checkpoint. As Malcolm said, it was open, and there were no guards to be seen.

"What was that [Power], Francis?" I asked him.

"It's called [Aeolus], often known as the God of Winds," he explained.

"Wait, if your [Power] was a wind one, how did you move so fast?" Meda asked, confused.

"Oh, that? I use wind to accelerate my movement. I'm essentially coating my body in it," he said.

We all just nodded. Now we sort of knew what his [Power] was like. Finally, I knew all of our prowess, and could use it later.

We kept on running, slowly passing through all the checkpoints in the prison. They all generally looked the same, but after passing through the third one, we finally made it to an outside area. It was a fairly open field, with mostly cement on the ground, possible to stop anyone from digging outside, right?

In the middle of the field, just before our exit, I noticed something, that was quite odd.

Three individuals were blocking the way. At first I thought that they might be guards, but I was wrong. They all wore very similar outfits to Russel's one. Were they the other Vice-Wardens? The number of them worked out, There should've only been three left, so that worked out well.

The one on the right was a fairly plump guy, and by fairly plump, I mean morbidly obese. He was also eating some donuts, fairly appropriately. He seemed to rock razor sharp teeth, which was reassuring.

The one on the left looked like a ninja-wannabee. He had a shady look to him, and a katana on his side. He also seemed to have some sort of ninja shoes, as well as some really weird gloves.

The one in the middle was by all means a beauty. Tall, long blonde hair, as well as other parts that would be worth mentioning. She had a shotgun on her back. That one looked basic.

I'm so glad I took Russel's handgun.
