2 II - Mr. Secretary

"Miss, your dad wants you in his office," my dad's secretary said as soon as I entered my office.

"Just give me a minute," I answered back. Why would my dad want me in his office? Everything is doing fine aside from the fact that the reunion is getting nearer and nearer.

Our class reunion is in two weeks already and I hate myself for confirming to them that I will come and bring my boyfriend. I shouldn't have accepted the invitation in the first place. First, I have no boyfriend nor even a boy-friend to bring. Second, I know that everyone will only attend to boast their boyfriends or husband. Third, I now have an idea of what is their reason to invite me. They want to make fun of me in front of a crowd. And lastly, I hate stupid people.

"Why did you ask for me, dad? Is there a problem?" I asked my dad as I enter his office.

"I noticed the conflict of your schedule because you fired your secretary. You have no one to arrange the appointments so I hired someone," dad said.

"Are you sure she is better than my last secretary, dad? You know that I hate stupid people especially if she's my secretary. I need a good one."

"Don't worry, I assure you that this one is better than the last one. I also briefed him on how to handle you since all your past secretaries are afraid of you. It's 'he', by the way," He said that made me raise my brows. A male secretary?

"Are you sure, dad? Where did you even found him? I didn't hear any news about the company hiring for a secretary."

"I know him personally, honey. And I hired him because of his good credentials so don't worry," my dad assured.

"Okay, if you said so. I'll just fire him if he's not good."

"Oh, he's waiting for you in your office."

Well, I never had a male secretary before. All my past secretaries are all female and most of them flirted with the other employees which I hate. They weren't able to do their jobs properly because of that.

Shock enveloped me when I saw the man inside my office.

"You? What are you doing here?" I asked. I am not expecting any visitors today.

"Good morning, ma'am. I am your new secretary," he said with a big grin plastered on his face. He waved the folder with his name written on the front. Noah Castellane.

"Oh, tell me you're joking, Noah," I said. Yes, it's Noah. The Noah in the convenience store. The same Noah who insisted to pay for my ice cream which I also paid minutes after.

"Unfortunately for you, no, ma'am."

"Okay, make me a coffee," I just said before starting to do my work.

I didn't really expect that he will be my secretary. I even though that he was a scammer when I met him at the convenience store and now, he's my secretary. I don't know what to expect since I didn't have a male secretary in the past but my dad said that he knows him personally, he's better than my last secretary and lastly, he has good credentials. I think that's enough reason for me to trust Noah since my dad trusts him. My dad wouldn't hire someone who isn't best for us.

And when I say the best for us, that includes the guy that I am going to hire for our reunion. I need to find the best boyfriend. I need to have the perfect boyfriend for the night of our reunion. I someone to act as my boyfriend on our reunion or else, I'm doomed. It's either I'll attend the party without a date or I won't just attend the party and give my batchmates some excuses.

"Noah? What's taking you so long? It's been fifteen minutes since I asked you to make a coffee for me," I said on the intercom that's connected to Noah's. I couldn't fully function in the morning without my coffee.

Before I could say more on the intercom, the door of my office opened.

"Here's your coffee, ma'am," Noah said as he places the cup of coffee on my table. I slowly sipped from the cup and when I tasted the coffee on my tongue, that's when I realized that all of my secretaries suck in making me a coffee.

"It's too sweet," I said with a frown. I love coffee but I hate it when it's too sweet. Only my mom can make me the best coffee but of course, I wouldn't ask her to make me a coffee that I'll drink here in my office.

"Ma'am, we have different taste and I personally like it sweet. I made you a sweet coffee since you didn't tell me what do you like nor gave me an instruction," he said that made me annoyed.

"Aside from you, who in the world would drink a coffee as sweet as this?"

"Ma'am, I am no Starbucks barista nor a coffee house employee so don't expect me to make a coffee that is as good as those you buy in Starbucks. Mind you, studying how to make you the perfect coffee and making you one isn't on my job description, ma'am." And that made me more annoyed at him.

"Fine! Fine! Just get out of my office and bring this coffee," I said to him before I shove him away. Now, how will I start doing my work for this morning if I don't have my coffee? I can't help but frown at the thought that maybe I would need to drop by the coffee shop before going here starting tomorrow. My past secretaries do that for me. They drop by a coffee shop to buy me my coffee before going here because no one can make the coffee that I want. Noah isn't the type of guy who would to that for his boss.

I am staring at the fountain of my pen for I don't know how many minutes already when I heard a knock on my door that made me stop staring at it.

"Yes? What do you need?" I asked without looking who entered my office. I badly need my coffee.

I turned my gaze to the person in front of me when he placed a paper bag with a logo of the famous cake shop near our company on top of my table. There, I saw Noah holding another paper bag, this time with a logo of Starbucks.

"Here's your coffee, maam."
