1 You Came When I'm In Need Of Someone

On a windy evening, a girl sat at a park looking up the sky.

'Is there any true friendship in this world? If it exists, I hope I will find one soon. Everyone approach me with a motive. What a cruel world...' Many thoughts running in her mind. Without realizing, tears slowly escaped her eyes.

While she diving into the pool of thoughts, a ball hit her head making her came back to the world. She quickly wiped her tears and looked at a group of boys.

"Sung Ki, go and apologize. You're the one who threw the ball." His friends pushed him.

"Why would I? It's not like I want to! It's an accident." Sung Ki pushed his friends' hand.

"Just go already. She's our senior, you know? What if she spread this? You'll lose your face."

"Aish, whatever. I don't care if she want to tell everyone about this." The girl heard their conversations and approached them.

"Do you think all the girls like to gossip?" Sung Ki looked at the owner of the voice.

"You... We met once during drama competition last year, right? You're..." He rubbed his head as he don't remember her name.

"Yeah. You don't remember my name, right? It's okay. As for today, don't worry. I won't tell anybody. Just keep in mind, not everyone is the same." The girl walked away from them. Sung Ki stunned at his place after hearing her words.

"Guys, do you know her name?" He asked his friends.

"You don't know her? She's Kim Yong In. The prettiest and most intelligent girl of third graders. I heard she's quite loved by teachers."

"Guys, I'm going home now. See you guys at school tomorrow." Sung Ki went home after that.

Yong In entered the class and went to her seat. On her desk, there was a paper bag.

"Yu In, who gave this?" She asked her deskmate.

"I don't know. It's already there when I arrived just now. Aren't you tired being pretty? You always receive gifts and confessions from many guys."

"It's not like I want it though." Yong In sat down and looked into the paper bag.

There was a box of chocolate and a card. She read the card.

'Senior Yong In, it's me Sung Ki. We met yesterday at the park. I'm really sorry for my rude behaviour. I don't know what you like so I just bought this chocolate. Hope you like it. I also hope there won't be any misunderstanding between us after this. Sincerely, second grade Lee Sung Ki. '

"Since when does this boy know how to say sorry?" She chuckled.

Actually, Yong In knew about his behaviour as everyone rumored. But, during the drama competition last year, she realized he's not like what others said.

She kept the chocolates in her bag.

Meanwhile, Sung Ki in his class losing in his thoughts.

'Did she like it? Should I find her? Better not. I'm embarassed enough from giving her those chocolates. Right, Sung Ki. You even said sorry! What on earth are you thinking? You must be crazy!'

"Sung Ki, please answer this question." He didn't respond to the teacher so his deskmate elbowed him.

"What?" He looked furiously at his deskmate.

"The teacher asked you to answer that question." His deskmate whispered. Sung Ki looked at the question his teacher asked and gulped.

"Lee Sung Ki, if you don't know the answer, please focus and look how to solve the question, can you?" He nodded. The teacher continued.

Sung Ki went to the school cafeteria with his friends. He passed by Yong In's class. At the same time, Yong In went out of the class.

" Sung Ki ! " Yong In called his name. He stopped.

" You guys go first." He said to his friends and went to Yong In.

"Yes, senior? What can I help you with?"

"Nothing. About the chocolates..."

"It's as a sorry to you." He cut off her words. She laughed.

"Well, thank you. But, you don't really have to do that."

"You like it?" She nodded.

"Thank God. I thought that you won't like it."

"Sung Ki... I'm really happy. Thank you so much. Maybe those chocolates doesn't mean much but I'm really happy with what you done." Sung Ki confused at her words.

"Meet me after school." Yong In walked away and left Sung Ki dumbfounded.

"What's wrong with you, Yong In?! Before this, you easily won first place but now, you don't even won a medal? Get your act together, can you? Think about it yourself and I hope I can see your improvement after this." Yong In is being scolded by her teacher because she lost in the sprint competition.

" I'm sorry. I made you disappointed. " She bowed and left the teacher's room.

She went to the field and sat down. She hugged her knees and buried her face between it.

Sung Ki went to Yong In's class right after school ended but he didn't see her.

" Umm... Senior, where is senior Yong In?" He asked one of her classmate.

"Yong In ? I don't see her this period though." The senior went away.

He entered the class and saw Yong In's bag on her seat. He took it and went to find her around the school. Then, he found her at the field. He slowly approached her.

"You asked me to meet you but you let me search for you around the school." Yong In startled and looked at the person beside her.

"You're crying?" He shocked after seeing her red eyes. She quickly wiped her tears.

"No, I don't. Sorry for making you search for me."

"It's okay. Here's your bag." She took the bag.

"Thank you." She murmured.

"Wanna share with me?"

"Sung Ki, have you ever thought that someone is perfect? And if that someone can't live up to your expectation, will you be disappointed?"

"Actually,no one is really perfect. Everyone will have their own weakness. It's just that wether the person can hide their weakness or not."

"Then, do you think I'm perfect?"

"You? I can't really tell because I don't really know you but based on what I heard, I think you're great."

"Everyone always said I'm perfect. I tried to be perfect in every way as everyone said but I'm really tired of it. And when I failed to do what they expect, all they know is blaming me." Sung Ki hugged her.

"Don't mind what others said. In my eyes, you're perfect enough." She pulled out of the hug.

"You're different from what others said."

"What do you mean?"

"That's why I asked you to meet me. I wanted to say that you're really not like what they said. You're warm inside but still you're stubborn. I can't deny that."

"You said like you know me that much."

"Don't I know you enough? You even gave me chocolates and said sorry which is the word that never exist in your life dictionary."

"Maybe you're the one who changed me." He whispered.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing. Just some nonsense."

"Sung Ki, can you be by my side everytime I need? Like now? You made me happy when I'm sad."

"I will." They smiled at each other and looked up the sky enjoying their time together.
