10 Panic encounter

When Aurora woke up again, she didn't recognize were she was. There were a couple of seats around her and her things were thrown in a pile on the ground nearby. Her dress was all sticky and her face was hurting badly. It's only when she thought about her face that she remembered what was happening. It seemed she was still on the plane. She wondered where they were. Did they lift off already? She tried to get up to go look through the window but her wrist got stuck on something. She had been cuffed to her seat.

She was still very scarred but now that Hergis wasn't there anymore, she felt like it was probably the only moment she would have a chance of escape. She reached in her pocket to get her p-gear but it wasn't there anymore. There was nothing left, she had been stripped of everything but her clothes and her possessions were too far for her to reach.

What would she do then? If she couldn't get help, what would happen to her? What did they want with her? With nothing to do but to take guesses at her future and nothing but despair in sight, she passed the rest of the flight crying in silence. She didn't want to go on an adventure anymore, she had enough already.

When the plane finally landed, she felt her stomach turn around and she almost threw up. She managed to keep its contents in by thinking that if she did throw up, she would probably be hit again. She needed to appear docile until she found a way out or she would live a much more painful experience, no doubt.

The pilot came from the front of the plane and shot her an expressionless look before opening the door and lowering the stairs. A bunch of guys in suits and sunglasses came in and started to pick up everything that was in the plain, her possessions. They were talking in a language she didn't understand of course, she knew this would happen from the start. She believed that in a foreign country, of course they would speak a foreign language.

One of the men came to her side and gripped her jaw to examine her face. His touch sent a bolt of pain through her and made her flinch and hiss. Still, she did her best to not move and hide the fact that she was shaking from fear. It wasn't super effective. The guy laughed and said something to the others behind him before mimicking a beast to scare her further and laugh at her reaction. She felt like that was way less scary since he now looked like a complete idiot but she didn't dare laugh or give him a look of puzzlement. She stayed shut in fear that a wrong move would send her in a world of pain once again.

Seeing no more interesting reactions from her, he quickly lost interest and undid her binding before lifting her under his arm like a bag. She felt uncomfortable but didn't resist as he hauled her limp body with her luggage's to one of the three black car they had. He dropped her in the back of the second car, tied her seat-belt and closed the door on her while they finished putting all her things in the trunk.

She watched through the window as they talked to the pilot for a while. She still had a hard time believing what was happening to her. She looked around her many times but she felt so out of herself that she couldn't make sense of her surroundings or describe them clearly. She was seeing everything without really seeing it.

The men in black all got in the cars, there were around fourteen of them. Two of them sat on either side of her. She felt oppressed by the giant men and made herself as tiny as possible hoping they would ignore her. Of course, there was no way they would not notice the small girl they just kidnapped. After a short time, the cars started and they got moving. She slowly regained some semblance of calm thanks to the fact that they were ignoring her and looked at the guys around her. On her right was a tall but skinny man with a bald head. On her left, a bearded man so large that if she hadn't been leaning forward out of fear, she would've had to lean on the right to leave him enough place to sit. She wasn't quite sure but she thought that the guy driving was the one who had picked her up earlier.

Where were they taking her? What would they do to her? Those question were beating on her consciousness constantly but could never find their answers. The only thing that somewhat reassured her was that none of them exhibited a terrifying aura. They seemed to be in a normal mood, as if everything was ordinary for them.

They left the crowded airport and rolled on street after street. It quickly became evident even for her that they were not going towards the center of the town, whatever town they were in. Building were looking older and older as they progressed and before long, not an aura could be seen on the sidewalks anymore. All she could see was an ocean of red crumbling bricks.

She decided that she had to ask what was going on. She felt like she was about to go crazy. She just needed to find a way to communicate with them. Maybe one of them understood the sign language? She gathered her courage to ask them when she heard a girl scream and the car in front suddenly braked, followed instantly by theirs and the one behind. She got smashed against her seat-belt but didn't get hurt more then she already was.

She raised her head to see outside and was surprised to see in front of the cars the two wanted terrorists!

Blaze turned the corner on the run and arrived in front of three black SUV in a column. They all had tinted glass and all of them where loaded with men in black like in movies. He stopped right beside Gilly who was also frozen in place. This was really bad, he still had the gun in his hands and had no way of explaining why he possessed such a thing.

The one driving the front car got out quickly and removed his sun glasses as if Blaze would somehow recognize him without them.

"Boss?"

Blaze brain was working at full speed, trying to figure out what was happening. it was then that he saw it. On his chest, an insignia was pinned. It looked exactly like his Dragonlaw badge but this one was totally purple and the fire was represented smaller. He shot a quick look at the rest of them to confirm it. They were all Dragonlaw gang members! He quickly gathered what he still had of composure and talked.

"Thank the dragons, it's just you guys. You all scarred the fuck out of me."

"We're very sorry boss, we didn't know you were around here."

Just with this exchange, Gilly caught-on on what was going on and almost collapsed of relief even though those guys weren't actually allies. She put a hand on her heart and exclaimed.

"Good thing you are here though, we were just running from team Solaris."

"Team Solaris? I thought we had a truce?"

"Well not anymore it seems" Answered Blaze, following on Gilly's idea. "There's about thirty grunts after us. I shot their priest with this to gain some time but there is no way I can fight thirty on my own."

"Of course, I understand, no shame in retreating from a lost battle."

"Wrong!" Exclaimed Blaze pointing his gun at the guy. "Dragonlaw never loose."

The Dragonlaw grunt seemed to get intimidated by the gun and shut his mouth afraid to say anything else. The rest of them were slowly opening the windows to hear what was going on.

Blaze ignored the swiftly approaching enemies and asked with a smile.

"How many of you are there here?"

"Fourteen boss." Instantly answered the driver who still had the gun pointed at him.

"Excellent, I have a new job for you all."

Aurora taught she wouldn't understand what they would say but she did. She had completely forgot, when she had watched that video, they talked the same language as her! At least she would know what was going on. The leader of her tormentors said he was attacked by another gang and had to run but he wanted all the guys here to go fight them. What would they do with her if they were going to fight people. It didn't even seem to be a fair fight, the leader had an enormous gun with him! He even bragged he had killed one of them with it, the monster.

"But boss, we are escorting the hostage right now. Would it not be better for you to get in with us and lead a team against them later?"

The leader seemed very angry at his answer.

"Before I explain to you why we won't do that, please tell me. Which hostage are we talking about here?"

"The stardust daughter sir, she arrived just earlier."

Aurora saw the aura of the leader and the girl distort themselves, as if in confusion but his face remained the exact same. The girl started to scan the cars looking for her.

"I see, and she is just on time too. Here's what we are going to do. Give me the address to were you were supposed to bring her, I will take her there myself because this is probably the only point on which you are right. She is very important to the plan."

"As I thought sir."

"The rest of you though still needs to go beat up those morons disguised as spacemen. We can't let them spread a rumor saying they made us retreat. As I told you earlier, Dragonlaw never loose."

"Yes of course sir, here let me write down the address for you."

As the driver searched his suit for a pen and some paper, a smile of triumph quickly flashed on the face of their leader. No one saw as they were all busy getting out of their seats.

"I will leave the cars here to make your escape easier once the fight is done, don't leave anything that belongs to us behind and meet us back at the designated drop like planned understood?"

"Yes sir!" Replied all the goons in sync.

The leader took the piece of paper and pointed behind him.

"Now go, you have the surprise advantage, there is no reason for you to lose."

All the men in black ran around the corner like one and very quickly, shouts were heard from over there. They had left her all alone with the madmen and the strange girl. As soon as their goons got out of reach, the girl started laughing.

"I can't believe it worked! We got rid of all of them!"

Aurora couldn't make sense of what she had said and didn't have the time to think about it.

"Of course it worked, it was your idea, now we have to get the girl and run away before the fight ends. Answered the boy before he started walking towards her.

Shivers ran through her, one of the biggest criminal of all times was about to take her away somewhere. He was as scary as Hergis to her! She wanted to hide herself very badly but since they were right in front of her, it was utterly impossible.

"Can't we just free her and be on our way?" Said the girl following behind him.

Free her? what was the point of kidnapping her if they released her the second they had her! Was she daft? Was this why she was following the boy?

"No, she is a good chance on getting an idea of what is going on." He said arriving at her door.

She made herself as small as she could, hoping he wouldn't hurt her too badly. He opened the door and they both looked inside. From outside, they had roughly knew where she was but couldn't see her properly because of the tinted glass. When they saw her, both their aura's and their eyes shook. Was this sadness she was seeing? It didn't make sense.

"Oh my god!" Exclaimed the girl. "What happened to you! Who did this!"

She jumped in the car and came to her side extending a hand towards her face. She tensed up and tried to back off fearing the pain of the touch.

"No no... don't worry, I won't touch it, I just want to see how bad this is."

She extended her hand once again but more slowly and waited for a sign of consent from her before slowly turning her head on the side by holding the top of her skull gently.

"Look she said, that whole side of her face is a bruise and it's starting to swell all the way to her ear! Even her neck, it's all blue and green, it's way worse than me!"

The girl was expressing genuine concern for her, she could see it with both her face and aura but she couldn't gather why and it was making her nervous. More than before she meant. What was happening? The boy shot a look behind him towards the way the others went before bending his head in the car to shorten the distance between them. He seemed stressed out and in a hurry, he asked.

"Just answer me this one question. Do you know who we are?"

Aurora nodded before regretting it instantly. She should have asked herself what he wanted to hear first! That question was too strange, there was something super fishy about it and she completely failed to see it!

"See?" He said to the girl while pointing at their prisoner. "We can't let her go now, if we do, she will rat us out and the whole town will be after us before the end of the day."

The girl bit her lower lip while aurora hugged her leg and hid her face in-between her knees. Where they already going to kill her?

"Blaze you are scarring her!"

"I know but we don't have the time for this! the fight could end at any moment, we have to take her with us and run for it while we can."

Aurora felt extremely relieved, they were not going to kill her right now. she peeked at them and focused on the girl who just put her hand on her small knee to appeal to her. She had concern on her face and her aura was both gentle and in a frenzy. Like rain in a pond, calm in its endless agitation.

"You are a really shy one aren't you? You haven't said a word yet. I won't eat you if you talk you know?"

It wasn't at all because she was shy! It was because she was mute. It's hard to say when you can't talk. She just continued to stare at her in silence, unsure on how to expose the fact to her. Out of time, the girl immediately gave up.

"Girl, I need you to listen to me, I know you are scarred of us but we need to escape now before the bad guys come back. I promise you that we won't hurt you and everything will be alright soon okay?"

Both her and her aura seemed sincere but "the bad guys" as she said were working for them. It was a fact impossible to deny, she had seen him give them orders mere moments ago! Her mind was torn, it was easy to read on her face. The boy gave her is own argument.

"I am sure you are a smart girl so think of all the possibilities of the choices you have. If we leave you here, you will for sure end up back in the hands of those guys, they will for sure hurt you again or even kill you."

Aurora shuddered at the thought.

"Then, you could also take Gilly's hand and go with us for a while. She promised to not hurt you but she could be lying. Still, in this case, there is a bigger chance that you won't get hurt. If you go with us, your chances of escape will get bigger too since there is only me and Gilly to look after you and for what it's worth, I promise you your freedom once we are done."

Every kind of scenarios popped in her head. inspired from books she had read, television shows and some exaggerated from what she had endured since this morning. What should she do?

"Whatever you decide, you need to do it quick, my offer will stay for only the next five seconds."

"Blaze!"

"We don't have the time, fights are decided in seconds not in hours."

Aurora panicked, she definitely did not want to stay here, she grasped the girl's hand on her knee and squeezed it against her chest to not let her go.

"Good." Said the boy. "She made a choice. Now we go!"

As he said it, a giant ball of purple goo came from the side street and splashed against the brick wall above the first car. Many bricks melted in a disturbing hiss and big gloop of the stuff fell down on the street and car. By accident, she imagined what it would be like to get caught in such a blast and she didn't like it at all, it was a big mistake. She scrambled out of the car with the girl.

"Which way?" Asked the girl holding her hand.

"This way I guess."

They moved a couple of feet but then something very important came to her mind and she stopped dead in her track.

"Why did you stop? What is it?" Asked the girl.

Aurora pointed at the trunk of the car with her free hand.

"What is in there? Is it very important?" Asked the boy.

She nodded, it really was, her friend was in there. She wouldn't go without him. The Boy ran there and opened it up. He saw the bags there and asked.

"Are all those yours?"

She nodded again while going there herself and reached for them before stopping suddenly. She had not asked her captors if she could take them back. She looked at the boy again to see his reaction.

"What are you waiting for? Pick up everything you think you can carry, they are yours after all, I won't drag everything for you."

He had misinterpreted her question but had still answered it. She took her keytar and put the strap around her. It dug painfully in her neck but she didn't care. She put on her backpack, the book, the ball and her p-gear. The backpack was really heavy, what had her father put in there? The rest was all spare clothes she didn't care about, she probably had hundreds of white dress back home, she had no need for those. She picked a couple of empty balls that she shoved in her pocket with a peardex and a couple of potions. She had a lot of them but she found only three, the men in black must have taken a lot of them for themselves when they transferred everything. She turned back to the boy to signify him she was done.

"All done? Then let's go."

He tried to grab her hand but she recoiled from fear and he only grasped empty hair. His aura showed a sad greyish blue.

"Gilly please, take her with you."

"Yes of course. Don't worry Blaze, she's just scarred of us and probably had a terrible day. Sometimes you're gruff but you're just fine."

She kissed him on the cheek changing his gloomy aura to a shade of gentle pink before carefully picking her hand.

"Are your legs hurt? Can you walk fast?"

This was the worst kind of scenario, she had asked two question with opposite answer! She hated it when her father did it but now it was a thousand times worse! How was she supposed to answer? She opted to answer by just starting to walk.

The boy nodded and they transited from walk to run as they escaped the place.

***

They had liberated the girl and were now running between abandoned factories. That small girl packed quite an equipment. He had wanted to tell her to leave the weird music instrument but decided otherwise to at least keep the little ground he had made towards her trust.

He had taken a look at the address but of course could not recognize where it was since he never once visited Hitawar city before. He had wanted to make sure he was going in the opposite direction but he would have to stop to search for it through his computer. The only thing he could do was take the roads were the cars came from. He believed that if they followed his orders until the end, they would proceed to the address they gave him after the fight and not backtrack.

There was also the possibility that they lost but he didn't care about them at all so it didn't matter.

They meandered through those empty streets for a couple of minutes, made a number of random turns and arrived at a building with a phone booth in front. Blaze was surprised to see one, that building must have been abandoned for a very long time.

"Do you think it works?" He asked to Gilly.

"What, the phone booth? I don't know. Does it matter?"

"Yeah, if I want to call the police I need it because my number is probably on some kind of watch list."

"Why would you call the police?" Asked Gilly accompanied by the confused look of the girl.

Blaze took the piece of paper and agitated it in front of them.

"We can use the address they gave us to make a great hit on them. We only need to give it to the cops and they will raid the place to look for me."

"Oh!" said Gilly with a big smile. "Then it also give us an excuse as to why we didn't bring her there, we couldn't do it because there were cops everywhere."

"Yes exactly!" Said Blaze, happy she had guessed the other benefit of the call. "This way we can continue to play on both sides a while longer and it will give us time to decide on what to do about her. Uhm, about you I mean." He said looking at Aurora. "I'm sorry, you're so quiet I almost forgot you were right there."

Aurora batted a hand sideways as a sign she didn't mind. She had no idea what was going on anyway.

"Then let's hide in there for a while after we make the call, he said pointing at the crumbling building besides them. Let me check were this is with the computer, then make the call and then we'll talk inside."

He finished his sentence looking at Aurora who tried to step back to dodge the questions she imagined in her head. She didn't trust him as far as she could throw him. Which was not at all. Blaze on his side, felt really depressed that he was scarring a little girl so much. He had shot a guy it was true but she didn't know that... Oh, she did, he had said it just in front of the cars. Anyway he wasn't scary!

Feeling annoyed at the situation, he fetched his computer while Gilly watched the girl. While he was opening his bag, he decided to get Dawnshield out of its ball to open the door for them. The chesspawn was super happy to be out again and looked around to see what was going on. Aurora was utterly confused seeing the monster that came out of the ball. Was he not supposed to be a fire monster fanatic? Why did he have a grass type?

Before Blaze had the time to tell him what he wanted him to do, Dawnshield noticed Aurora who had never been there before and ran to her, curious. "A new girl with my lord?" It said in a small squeal. She got scarred the monster would attack her, it was the beast of the boy after all. She hid herself behind Gilly to stay away from the Chespin. She even got surprised to understand it, it had been so long since the last time she had used her second gift she had almost forgot it. Her own budding-saurian had not uttered a word yet.

"Don't be scarred." Gilly tried to reassured her. "It's just Dawnshield, our chesspawn. He won't hurt you. He is my protector." She said with a smile.

"Knight dawnshield at your service lady! I have sworn to protect my lord's beloved with my life!" It said taking a valiant, yet comical due to his height, pose. That guy was funny decided Aurora and she smiled at it.

"Hey Dawnshield, I will present her to you later, for now I need you to open the door over there for us with your vines."

"Understood!" It quickly ran to the door and started peeling back the planks nailed to it and the wall to make a path. While Aurora watched it's faithful work with curiosity, Blaze finished opening the computer and looked for the address on the map.

"The place seems to be an ordinary office building. There's a candy shop beside it."

"A candy shop?"

"Yeah... Hey girl, your name was Aurora right?"

She nodded to confirm. He smiled and unhooked the phone to check if it was still working.

"Aurora is a great name. Said Gilly. Mine is just a 'e' sound at the end of gills instead of an 'S' as if I was to breath water. And I always thought that the 'Y' and the 'I' were reversed."

Aurora would have found it funny but she was way too stressed out for jokes. Even just giving her a small smile made it painful so she stopped immediately. Blaze, on his end, found that the phone was indeed working and fetched a coin from his pocket to feed it to the machine.

"Listen Aurora, I don't know if this is proof enough for you but I am about to call the cops and send them were the rest of Dragonlaw is going. I tell you I am not the bad guy you think I am."

The look on Aurora's face was the epitome of skeptical.

"Even if you think I am not really talking to the cops, we will probably see it all later in the news, you'll see."

"Why are you so desperate to convince her you aren't the bad guy?"

"Because I can't stand that look of fear on a kids face. It makes me feel dirty."

"Hon, poor thing." Laughed Gilly.

Blaze just snorted and inserted the coin in the machine. Aurora felt it was strange that neither of their aura's showed any signs of displeasure from that exchange even thought their voice did. He composed the 911 and waited for someone to pick up.

"911, what is your emergency?" (1)

It was a women who answered, not that it mattered to him at all.

"Yes, I didn't know who exactly to call so I called you. I saw something on my way to work." Blaze started lying immediately.

"On your way to work?"

"Yes, you see, I was late because last night, me and my friends watched 'Stonake attack 3' back at one of their houses and we got a teensy bit drunk. What's more, since I was drunk I accidentally unplugged my alarm clock, that's why I was late today."

His story was ridiculous and the voice he took for that character was so dumb too. It wouldn't have been surprising at all if the receptionist had just hung up. Unfortunately for her, she had to listen to him in case there really was an emergency. Gilly had her free hand in front of her mouth to stop herself from laughing but Aurora kept her suspicious look.

"Mister, could you please get to the facts."

"Oh yes of course. On my way to work, I saw around fifteen men in black suit and shades going out from an office building."

There was a silence on the other end of the phone and Gilly almost burst.

"You know it's a crime to call here for nothing right?"

Gilly was biting her tongue trying so hard to not laugh.

"Yes of course I know, but those guys were really suspicious. They all got in three black SUV and all wore a badge in the shape of a dragon."

"Sorry, what did you say about a badge?"

"On the front of their suits, they all wore a purple badge shaped like the head of a dragon breathing fire."

"Could you please wait a second while I check on something."

"Sure thing."

There was another pause in which Gilly was finally able to calm herself while the receptionist was typing something on her computer.

"Are you sure this is what you saw?"

"Yes I remember because I taught it would have looked great if it had been a poshog."

Gilly let a 'pffft' sound escape as Blaze explained to the receptionist.

"You see, my dream is to make an entire squad made of poshog specialized in using flamethrower."

"Let's get back on topic please, were they doing anything in particular?"

"No, They just all piled up in the cars and left."

"Do you know towards where they left?"

"No, I was on foot, I didn't follow them."

"Where did this take place?"

"This happened on my way to work, on Gladrock street. It was the office building on the left of the sweets shop."

"Do you have the address? Can you see it from where you are?"

"Huh, no, I can't remember, it was too long ago, I think it was around 78 70? I'm not sure."

"Too long ago? How long ago was this?"

"An hour, maybe two?"

"An hour! Why did you not call immediately?"

"I was late! I told you! I got to the meeting late and then I had to sweet-talk my boss into giving me another chance again. Also, I thought 'what if they found I had called the police', I don't want to get killed!"

"What made you change your mind?" Asked the women, exasperated.

"A Chinese cookie I ate told me to make the call."

"What's a Chinese cookie?"

Blaze froze. Shit, He had not taught of that! China doesn't exist here, he never ate a Chinese cookie in this life! Gilly was as puzzled as the receptionist. Aurora was unfazed at first but then she saw the reactions of everyone. She understood what had just happened thanks to his aura turning bright yellow from panic. Her whole body shook from the surprise. It was true! He did come from another world like her! It was impossible for him to know china otherwise.

"It's a kind of prediction." Explained Blaze. "It's hidden inside a cookie. I always let those cookie make the tough choices for me because something so delicious could not possibly be wrong."

The receptionist was flabbergasted at the stupidity of the caller.

"Could you please leave us your name in case we need an eye witness?"

"No, I don't want to."

"Why?"

"I still don't want to be involved in whatever this was, those guys may be dangerous after all."

"If you say so sir."

In fact she was glad she wouldn't have to talk to him again.

"Bye then!" Blaze said before hanging up the phone. "How was it? Pretty good?" He asked them with a big smile.

Aurora was looking at him in a daze and Gilly couldn't hold it anymore and was laughing her soul out.

"What was that! That was amazing! I was even worse than with the cop the other day!"

"What do you mean worse? It was perfect." He said with a mischievous grin.

"We never even saw Stonake attack, none of the three."

"Yeah, because they are really bad."

While the two of them where laughing at the many crazy things he had said on the phone. Aurora was thinking about what she should do with the information she had gained. This meant that her dreams weren't really dreams but another life she had before. Both of them had to survive ten years.

"What about the poshog, why choose that?"

"I thought of a monster I found really ugly and asked myself what would be the dumbest thing to do with it."

"Don't say it's ugly! It's a cute dog."

"It's not cute at all, it's existence alone is a sin."

"Come on!"

Maybe this meant that he really was innocent, maybe it was part of his challenge like being mute was part of hers. But maybe not too, he could still be super evil, being a participant did not make him a good guy. On top of that, she still feared it would turn into some kind of last man standing competition. In that case, he was her enemy regardless of being a good or bad guy.

"Why did you not give them the address properly?"

"I thought it wouldn't make sense for a random idiot passerby to remember this. I'm sure they will find it easily, they have the road name and they know it's left of the shop, they can't miss it."

"I guess we'll see."

If he was a good guy though, and if this wasn't a last man standing thing, he would be a valuable ally as he understood what was happening.

It was all her fault, she wasn't listening at all while in the white space, she was too excited. It was one of her worst drawbacks, she didn't listen at all when she was too excited or bored and her mind just got somewhere else as people talked to her without her noticing. If she had really listened, she would know the rules other than survive ten years.

"Also, what is a Chinese cookie, did you make that up too?"

"No I didn't, it's a real thing."

"Are they that good of a cookie?"

"No not really, I just needed an excuse."

"Where does it come from?"

"China..."

She had to focus more on what was going on from now on. If not, she would miss more things again, like how she missed her mother talking, or the rules concerning her life from now on. Wait, what were they talking about right now? She almost had done it again!

"I never heard of that place before, I guess this is why they are called Chinese cookie. Where is that?"

So the girl wasn't a participant, she didn't know about it.

"It's not somewhere you can reach..." Blaze said, evasive.

"Why not?"

"I do not know how to answer that without looking crazy again Gilly, it's about the ten years thing."

"Oh, I see."

Had he told her about the show/quest thingy or had he said some strange lie to her, she seemed displeased. Blaze told her exactly what the cookie was as an apology.

"They are some kind of hollow cookie with a piece of paper inside that tells you something more or less philosophical like 'keep your friends close in times of need'. They are made out of some kind of thin paste that is folded upon itself and around the paper to encase it in the hollow center."

"That's really strange."

"A lot of things are strange, it all just depend of where you come from."

"I guess it's true."

Gilly still seemed a little dispirited so he could only try to reassure her.

"Don't worry, I still have ten year to figure out a way to bring you along."

So he had told her everything after all, concluded Aurora, listening was paying off already! Meanwhile the Chesspawn had done it's work and was standing at attention near Blaze. Gilly made a small smile and pointed at it.

"Look, he's done already."

"Oh, you're fast!" Exclaimed Blaze, turning around to look at him and his work. "As expected of my proud shield."

Dawnshield was indeed super proud of himself. "I will continue to meet your expectations my lord, you can put your trust in me!" He was saying. What a talkative guy taught Aurora.

"Let's all get inside then, Dawnshield, help me get the planks in too so that they don't attract attention."

Blaze started by taking a quick peek inside to make sure it was safe enough before bringing the planks back in with the help of his knight. Most of them were carried by Blaze because he was much stronger than Dawnshield who had to drag them behind him two at a time. In the meantime, Gilly brought Aurora in and lighted up an electric lamp so they would be able to see despite the boarded up windows and doors.

Aurora had no choice but to let herself be dragged inside that dark place. How would she escape?

(1) I hear each country has it's own 911. 112, 999, it's all the same, I chose the 911 because I am used to it but it really doesn't matter. If I was to choose a number for a fictional emergency line, I would go for 777. Because when you call, you always hope you will be lucky and everything will be fine.
