<Aurora Stardust has been added to the party of Blaze Sherwood, Safehouses have been merged. Combining Participation points pool, total remaining PP 1,250.

Combining Reward points pool, total remaining RP 0.>

A Thousand and two hundred points! Blaze had already spent around two thousands points on himself, how could there still be more than a thousand left! While both him and Aurora were reading the message and were surprised by the amount of points left, The envelope, splattered with all of their blood just vanished from Gilly's hand as if it had never existed. She looked at her empty hands in bewilderment for a second before deciding it was much more important to heal their wounds now. She quickly picked up the knife to not walk on it by accident and opened up the first aid kit once again.

Blaze got out from his dazed state and released the hand of the small girl. He looked around for Gilly and found her coming back with everything she needed.

"Both of you are crazy." She said while forcing the still stunned girl to sit down. "Just a small amount of blood was enough, you didn't need to hurt yourselves this bad! Look at that nasty cut! You could have just pricked your finger instead! What were you thinking!"

"Sorry." Said Blaze. "It's because I went overboard first."

As Gilly tended to her new wound angrily, Aurora still could not see the red of anger in her aura, there was only concern. Her wound was washed, disinfected, closed and then tightly bandaged. As Aurora thought it was over, Gilly yanked her into her arms and hugged her strongly. Nestling her head between her breasts and surrounding her with her arms and remorse.

"I am so very sorry. I didn't think you would actually do it. I needed to be absolutely sure that you understood what you were getting yourself into. 'For all your life' is a really long time after all. I didn't mean for you to get hurt. I wanted to scare you off but I really meant everything I said. You are part of me now."

Aurora's face was hurting from the pressing of her new friend's breasts but the hug calmed her quite a bit. She felt as if the warmth of her aura was seeping into her. After her hug had went for a long time already, Blaze interrupted the sweet and tender moment.

"I'm sorry to interrupt but could you please take care of my hand Gilly?"

Gilly laughed and released Aurora.

"You big baby, come here and let me take a look." She said with a smile.

"Good thing you are here to patch me up every time you ask me to do something crazy."

They took a moment to calm down a little after this. Blaze got a bunch of bowls from a bag since the soup was mostly done. Did they have straws? Wondered Blaze. Better add them to the list for later just in case.

"Gilly, do we have straws for Aurora?"

"Oh, I don't know. I didn't think about that. Sorry Aurora."

"Of course you didn't. You'll have to sip your soup for now I guess, are you going to be okay?"

(I will be alright. I am very hungry, I haven't eaten since yesterday.)

Blaze got the bowls to Gilly who filled them of soup with her ladle. They all sat close to each other and ate the warm and soothing soup in silence. Aurora had a somewhat hard time to eat it, she had to take the bowl with both her hands and slowly pour it into her mouth or take tiny sips of it like hot coco. The soup was good, she felt happy that she had helped make it, she was eating her own work and she could taste that it had been worth it. After she had finished her first bowl, she asked Gilly for a second and she complied with a smile.

"Of course you can have a second one, eat as long as you're hungry."

Once Gilly was done too, she filled three more bowls and put them on the ground for their small monsters to eat.

"Oh, that's right, I totally forgot to introduce you in the end. Said Blaze when he saw this. Oy, Dawnshield, come here before you eat your dinner."

Aurora had almost forgot about the small guy, he had been diligently watching the surrounding for the whole time. He took his duty very seriously. He came running and got at attention in front of blaze. "Your words are my commands, my lord." He said when he got there.

"Here, Aurora, I present to you my one and only battle monster, his name is Dawnshield. He is the guy I chose to be my valiant knight, his mission is to defend Gilly at all cost."

"I am proud to serve sir!" Aurora was surprised to hear he was his only monster, she was so sure he had some fire type.

"Dawnshield, this one here is Aurora, she will be with us from now on, protect her too please."

Dawnshield came running to her once again and bowed in front her like a real knight which made her smile despite the pain. "Second lady, I won't let any harm come to you again, you have my word. Master will make me stronger and stronger until I can be a shield for both you and first lady." She decided to reward his will to improve with a pat on the head, between the quills. "I do not deserve such praise, I haven't accomplished much yet." That small guy was really funny.

"I guess I should present mine too while we are at it." Said Gilly.

She picked up her ball and opened it while calling her dog.

"Come here Houndy."

A demon-dog appeared in front of them. "At last, mistress needs me!" His tongue was out and his tail was wagging. Gilly had a demon-dog as a monster? That too was very unexpected. She had thought Gilly was more of the type to have a fairy or something like that, not a big bad dog. The dog continued to wag it's tail in excitement until he suddenly caught an unknown sent. He spun around towards Aurora and started barking at her. "Mistress! Intruder! There's an intruder! Mistress!"

"Geez Houndy, you're so unfriendly. Don't panic boy, she is part of us now, she is a friend. She will stay with us from now on so don't be rude."

The dog stopped barking and sniffed some more. "A new female in the pack? You seem too small to bear pups yet. As the alpha male, I welcome you anyway, please don't bother mistress." That dog was a weird one, less funny than Dawshield, he seemed full of himself. He reminded her a little of Hergis. Like that one, he acted like the top of the chain, but he was just blinding himself, exposing his belly to Gilly trying to get it rubbed by his mistress.

"This one cute boy here is Houndy, he is a little lazy and loves it when I rub its belly." Gilly said, not knowing what her dog had just said.

Aurora decided to show them hers too while Gilly indulged her dog. She got her ball from her pocket and opened it to reveal her budding-saurian. That one was still looking asleep like usual. He looked left towards Gilly, then right towards Blaze and dawnshield and then once again up front to Aurora.

He then noticed what her face looked like and his sleepy eyes got much bigger and alive. He growled and looked around once more. "Who hurt her! Who hurt my silent angel?" Aurora signed to them. "Sorry, he thinks you hurt me." She patted his head to calm him and get his attention and then went over to Gilly to give her a hug, followed by Blaze too.

He was surprised to receive a hug from a girl who feared him a mere hour ago but understood she just wanted to explain to him they were her friends.

"I see." made the budding-saurian with a small growl. "Not those ones, who then?"

"Your budding-saurian is super cute." Said Gilly "And it's shiny too, I guess it's a thing only you other-worlders get, who else starts with a shiny monster?"

"Not many no doubt. What's his name?"

(I haven't given him one yet because I can't tell it to him anyway.)

"Well, we are here now, let me help." Said Gilly. "Tell me his name and I will transmit it to him."

Aurora thought about it. She hadn't reflected on this sooner because it wasn't necessary and she was more of the type to just call them using their species name. It made her think that she didn't even know if it was a boy or a girl yet.

(I don't know if it's a boy or a girl.)

"I will help, here, Aurora wants to know if you are a boy or a girl." Said Gilly presenting her two fists. "Are you a boy or are you a girl?" Making each choice linked to one of her fists.

"What the fuck!" Exclaimed Blaze. "When did you become a professor!"

He started laughing really loudly and couldn't stop anymore. Neither of the girls understood what was funny and just ignored him. The budding-saurian nudged the boy side.

"So he is a boy after all."

Aurora nodded and patted his head to let him know she was happy to know. She then went back to thinking of a name as Gilly kindly brought her a third bowl of soup. She immediately discarded flower names because it was too girly. What about classic dog names like Rex? Too much dog, not enough lizard. Maybe something weird like Graksh. But then, everyone would always ask her how to even say it. Thinking of a name was really hard.

She could just call him Sleepy then. But it was too common, it would be confusing when people said things like sleepy head or I feel sleepy. Budding-saurian was really the best after all. Maybe a series of notes? That way she could call him too. But then it gets confusing with her training orders. She pondered for a while more and neither Blaze nor Gilly interrupted her thinking. In the end, she went for (Magus). (1)

"Magus? So his name is Magus. Tell us why." Asked Gilly curious.

(Budding-saurians do magic, maguses are the best magicians. So I decided to name him like that, magus the sleepy wizard.)

"I do understand that, said Blaze approving, budding-saurians are like wizards of status effects, magus is a good name."

"Then, Aurora decided on your name smal guy, you are Magus."

The lizard squinted his eyes even more and Aurora hugged him. He was happy.

"Now that all the introductions were made and we ate dinner, we still have a lot to talk about and a lot to do. Should we start by getting the participant's stuff out of the way, watch the news to see how effective our call was or get in the town first because we need to get so much stuff? We also have to make our plans and decide on how to play Aurora's kidnapping and we have to find a place to rest before sunset."

"Ohhhhh, so many things to do..." Gilly complained. "Why is it always so long with you?"

"I know, but we have to go through them all today or it will delay everything else. We got to be faster than our enemies."

(Could you just tell me first if what you said earlier was the truth?)

"The only lie I told you were about the dimensional hopping stuff, everything else was true or at least what I believe to be true. We only just made a vow to never lie to each other, you can definitely trust me. When I say I will do something, I will do it for sure. I meant the vows I took. You can be sure I will never betray you, and also, you are a member of my party now, I don't know what else to do to convince you."

His aura was calm, still even, and had a faint healthy green tint to it. Truth and determination.

(I believe you, you are a scapegoat, your father is the real bad guy and you saved me, thank you both.)

"Glad that you finally believe me, I would've been frustrated to sacrifice that invitation for nothing at all."

Aurora could understand that too, she would have been in despair if such a precious thing had been wasted. For that, she could easily place herself in his shoes. Who would want waste such a precious thing?

"Of course we would save you!" Said Gilly. "Who would leave you there with a bunch of criminals?"

"We also are criminals though."

"But we are good criminals, we don't murder people."

(Like robin hood?)

"I don't know who robin hood is." Said Gilly, a bit lost.

"For robin hood, he is a guy that stole from the rich peoples to give all the money back to the poor. I did shoot a guy earlier though, I shot at random and caught him square in the chest. "

"I see, so he did his best to help, even if his ways were criminal. Wait, you shot a guy in the chest?"

"Yeah, he got hit so hard he bounced back."

"Oh my god! Do you think he will make it out?"

"Does it matter? He was a Solaris gang member after all."

"It does matter! If he dies, it means you committed murder!"

"The murder of a bad guy, and I'm already wanted dead, it doesn't change anything. On top of that, I was just trying to scare them, that he got hit was just his own bad luck."

(You do sometimes act like a villain from a movie. You did the same in your video, this is why you look scary. You don't care if people you don't know die.)

"Yes because I think it's a waste of time to beat myself over the death of someone unrelated to me for reasons unrelated to me."

"But this one is definitely related to you, you pulled the trigger!"

"Yes, in self defense. I won't put your safety on the line because I am scarred of what might happen to a random bad guy, I told you this already. You are worth much more to me than the entire population of any region. I guess I will extend this to you too Aurora since you are now part of us. I won't hesitate to destroy anyone who threatens either of you even by just existing."

Saying this, Blaze sat back down on the blanket and awaited the verdict of the girls. Gilly released a sigh and sat in his lap, looking for a hug from him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and listened to her complaint.

"I love the way you always want to protect me but sometimes I question if you even have any sentiments at all."

"I do. I just don't have the pointless ones like guilt for things that don't deserve it."

Aurora didn't know where to place herself since Gilly literally sat on him. The pink aura surrounding them was almost blinding but she still opted for a spot just in front of them. She did not know what to think about the possible death of the team Solaris member. He was a bad man after all, bad men always died a lot in the books she read and the main character rarely made a fuss about it.

Maybe it was a main character thing, if you are one, you don't care for the bad guys. Would this mean that Blaze was a main character? Was there a main character in real life? Surely she was the main character of her own life no?

Meanwhile, Gilly gave up on the subject and went back to what they were talking about before.

"Let's go with the white space thingy first since I don't get what is going on at all. I want to get it out of the way to get to something more... real."

"I'm okay with this, do you agree Aurora?"

(Yes.) There were so many things she wanted him to tell her about this. It was probably her biggest worry now that she knew she wasn't in any immediate danger.

"Then, could you first tell me please, why do you have so many points remaining?"

"Points?"

"Oh, sorry Gilly, I think I explained this to you but when I was in the white space, I received a thousand points with which to buy things like abilities and equipment. I also had a thing that gave me a hundred points every years that gave me seventeen hundred more since I was born. The thing is, I planned where all my points would go beforehand to get the maximum I could at the start of the survival thing. I should have only around three hundred points left in case of emergency. But when I accepted her in my party, our points merged in a common pool and we now have 1250 points which means she brought nine hundred points with her."

"I see."

(But I didn't.) She denied. (I used all my points. I had only a thousand at first.) She was about to tell them what she had bought but realised her power to see auras was one of the things she bought. Was she supposed to keep it secret like her mother asked or respect the vows she just took earlier? She decided to ask them what she should do first.

(My mother told me to not say I had that power to anyone at all but we aren't supposed to have any secrets between us right? What do I do?)

"We are part of you, your secret is our secret and we will bring it to our tomb, no one will ever hear it from us." Gilly said.

Blaze felt like the answer was flawed since of course, even if they were bad guys they would still say the same but he was getting tired of going over every thing she did that way so he kept his mouth shut.

Aurora chose to believe it and told them everything she had. (I bought the power of aura for six hundred points and used a free coupon to be able to speak with the battle-monsters. With the 400 points left, I chose the moneybags origin, a couple of items and forgot to chose a starter for myself. I shouldn't have any points left at all, maybe fifty at best, I thought they were your points.)

"Then where did they come from? That's super strange."

"Wait, you said you can talk with monsters?" Questioned Gilly.

(Yes, I understand their speech but I cannot answer them because I am mute. I can also see auras and possibly manipulate it but I don't know how. I have nothing useful but money.)

"Don't hammer yourself for no reason, both are extremely useful, this is why they were both listed for 600 points. They both were worth more than half the total points you are supposed to start with proving their power. They will come in handy sooner or later, you just need to practice and work together with us."

Aurora nodded in hopeful agreement.

"I just wish I knew if there was a way to access the shop..."

As soon as he voiced his thoughts the screen from the white space reappeared before him.

"Oh, you just have to will it to appear, like for the invitation."

"What do you mean?"

"I guess that means you can't see what I am looking at right now? It's like a store web-page but hovering in the air right in front of me. I can see were all my points went and what I can buy still."

"That's disappointing, why can't I see it?"

"I don't know, maybe it's to stop people from spying on all your special abilities. you don't need to see though because I'm going to tell you exactly what I have anyway and even then, you already know what I can do."

"Mhn, you are right, I don't need to see it at all."

"There is one new section at the bottom that wasn't there before. Drawbacks."

Aurora didn't remember such a section either. She wished to see the shop, saw it appear before her and looked at the very bottom. There, she could see it, the drawback section.

"It says that drawbacks are given at random at the start of an adventure and award a quantity of PP when you acquire them. Drawbacks cannot be removed on the world they are acquired on, some stay after the adventure is over and follow you into subsequent worlds."

"That sounds annoying, did you get any?"

"Yes, but they don't have any description. I've got damned and wanted, both of them giving us 300 points."

"I guess wanted is about the police chasing you."

"Probably, yes. Aurora do you have some too?"

She made a small nod and signed her answer.

(Silenced for a 100 and marked for 200.)

She could easily guess what silenced was for. It turned out she was mute because of the white space instead of some random bad luck. No, that wasn't quite right, it was still random just not the natural kind of random.

"That makes up the total of nine hundred unknown points. I would suggest getting rid of them immediately but we can't."

"Then, that means you have a whole lot of points to use no?"

"That's right. Aurora, you were thinking that you were weak right?"

She nodded. She did complain about her lack of strength to her father just the other day after all.

"You look frail to me."

She frowned, she didn't feel that weak!

"Blaze, come on, that's not a thing you say to a girl!"

"Delicate?"

"Somewhat better."

"Dainty?"

"Ho, that's a good one, you rarely hear that."

"Anyway that's not the point! Open up your shop and use our points to buy what I tell you."

Aurora nodded, ready to hear is counsels.

"Good, first off, I would like you to buy Psionics for 600 points. I know it's a lot but I would like to know if you can go over silent with it."

Aurora was very excited at the perspective and bought it immediately. 600 of their points vanished from their pool and she felt a surge of knowledge in her head. While her mind was spinning from the experience, Gilly asked Blaze.

"Psionics? You want her to be a psychic on top of being monsterglot and being able to use aura?"

"It seems a lot but she would be a perfect mage! Who cares if she is fragile, she will overpower anything with merely her mind!"

She did love magic, after all, she had named her first monster after the best of mages. She thought that heroes with magic powers were the most interesting, they always did incredible things in stories. She felt thrilled at the perspective of being a great and powerful magician herself. Mind powers were not really magic but it was the closest she could get and they were nearly as strong. Just seeing a Siouplais in action was the proof. (2) (Bow before my power puny mortals!) She would say as the bad guy would be forced to the ground by her brain alone. It felt great in her imagination, she couldn't wait to do it for real. All these things were going through her mind as more and more information were imprinted in it and countless more connections were made in her brain.

"It does sound awesome but can she really do it?"

"A little trust from us and a little confidence from her is all that she need I think but I guess we will see. Do you feel any different?"

(My head spins.)

"It's okay, take your time, we are there with you."

(I feel like I know things I didn't know before. I think it worked but there is also a message written there now. It says that drawbacks cannot be circumvented on the adventure they are acquired on but can be on subsequent adventures. Telepathy will be locked until the end of the adventure.)

This was really frustrating for her. It would have been so much faster and convenient then sign language. She had put her hopes way up for nothing.

"Don't be so bummed out." tried to cheer Blaze. "There are plenty of insanely useful psionic powers aside from telepathy, like telekinesis, mind control, psychic constructs or psychometry.

"I don't know what half of those do."

(Me neither.) She understood telekinesis because she heard of it often and mind control was easy to get but what was supposed to be a psychic construct? Was psychometry even a word? (3)

"We will need a psychic monster to teach you stuff and then I will tell you of some powers I heard of when you'll feel ready to try strange stuff. First though, there are many other things I need you to buy. Next, you are going to buy 'Physical fitness', 'combat training' and 'freerunning' for yourself."

(What do I need those for?) She thought he wanted to make her a mage.

"Physical Fitness to make you less... Fragile? You also need it because we are going to walk a lot and your bag seems really heavy. It's super useful, trust me, I have it too. Then, you don't need survival training because I have it already, this is something you can probably easily learn along with Gilly from me. Combat training on the other hand will give you a head start. If something like your encounter with the Hergis guy happens again and I can't protect you for some reason, you will be able to protect yourself until me and Gilly come to your rescue. Combined with physical fitness, you should be much stronger and energetic. Then, lastly, there is also freerunning. It's not literally the power to do freerun, the description says it gives you the ability to pull off acrobatic feats very few humans and not many monsters could match. It will give you more flexibility and agility I think."

"Hoho laughed Gilly. I don't know for fights but those are really useful in bed."

"Stop saying nonsense to kids! Those are really useful in martial arts."

"You'll see soon how useful it can be, I kept myself pretty flexible too after all."

"Stop it with the innuendo, you're making it really hard to focus."

"It's not the only hard thing here."

Aurora interrupted them to ask a question. Since they already knew about it, might as well ask for their help to deepen her understanding of auras.

(Your Aura turned purple, I am not used to this color, could you please tell me what it is you are feeling right now?)

She had often seen this color on her father, her mother or even Hergis but it always quickly faded in her presence and she was never able to figure out what it was.

Gilly burst out laughing and Blaze turned red from shame. He really didn't want to say it. He was conflicted between the fact that he had sworn moments ago to never lie or hide things from her and the very important fact that she was just ten years old. In the end, for the sake of the betterment of her abilities, he spilled the beans.

"It's lust, alright? I'm feeling lust towards Gilly."

"At least I know my charms are working." Gilly teased him.

"Of course they work, now stop."

(I do not know that word.) She had no idea what lust was and didn't know what was the sign for it. Gilly started laughing once again. Aurora understood that she wasn't laughing at her lack of knowledge, but more at the situation. Blaze had no idea what to do and he really hated to be embarrassed.

"It's all your fault Gilly! Fix this yourself, I'm done."

"Oh, come on Blaze, don't be like that, it's just funny, I'll help out. Lust is when you are sexually attracted to someone and want to make babies with them."

Blaze hid his face in her back, defeated. What kind of answer was this? It was way too straightforward. Why were they even the ones to have that conversation? Was it not the jobs of parents to do so?

Aurora didn't pay attention to his embarrassment and followed up with more questions.

(Is that not just love?)

"No, love and lust are two completely different things. For example, parents feel love towards their children but don't want to make babies with them, they do not feel lust. The opposite is also possible, sometimes, guys come across a girl they don't know but find really attractive and immediately want to get in their pants, that's not love, it's just lust. Lovers and married couples usually feel both towards each other."

(What is putting their pants on got to do with this?)

"It's an expression, it means they want to remove your pants and your underwear to get to your secret girl part. They don't want to wear them, they want to be inside them with you."

What her mother told her the other day suddenly took a way different turn in her head. Hergis wanted to make babies with her mother? That felt disgusting, she didn't want half siblings from that monster! She hoped he didn't get in her pants in the end.

She had learned enough for now, she knew what the purple meant. She should go back to the original subject matter before Blaze died of shame. She couldn't understand why he was so annoyed by this talk but still decided to relieve him of his suffering.

(Thank you for your explanation, I learned valuable information, I will buy the abilities now.)

"She is cute, I love her." Said Gilly to Blaze. "Next time, I've got to teach her about the bees."

"Please don't, she doesn't need that knowledge."

"She will eventually."

"Let that eventually be way later when I'm not around."

Gilly laughed some more and then let Blaze regain some of his composure. Aurora Bought the 3 skill he had asked her to buy but didn't feel any different after that.

(It doesn't work, I feel the same as before.)

"I think it's normal because you are still small, those will help in the long run, you just have to make some efforts and I will help you with that. You will train with me and you will get stronger faster because of what you just bought. It's not like I was born super strong either. Even with the skill, I had to work and train a lot to get to where I am now. It's like the aura thing and the psychic thing, you have the knowledge and know you can use them but not how, you have to practice for it."

Aurora understood, what he had said made sense. If she were to suddenly grow taller and stronger, it would be very strange. She agreed with him.

(I am thankful to receive your help and I am eager to start.)

"You don't need to thank me for that. If I am to have you as a partner, it is in my best interest to make you as reliable as you can be. Also, we are one now. Before we start all that training though, I still need you to buy one last thing."

(What?) She asked curious.

"The Helicopter."

"What?" Gilly was very surprised by what he just said. "What do you even want to do with that?"

"We have a lot of spare points and I want to test what will happen if we buy an item from the shop now, in the middle of the jump. Also, that thing is very practical, we could go anywhere easily, I just need to learn how to fly the thing."

Aurora just did as she was asked and bought the helicopter. As she had hoped, it did not appear in front of her. That would have been disastrous if it did, buying an helicopter only for it to be stuck in a building.

(Done.)

"Good, now we make a quick inventory of what we have, then I answer your questions about this whole thing as best I can and we watch the news. Phew, I feel like the more progress we make, the more things gets on the list. Gilly, Could you please get the computer so we make the list properly."

"Sure, give me a second."

They quickly opened back up the list of their belongings and added Aurora's possessions to it. Even she didn't know what was in her bag, her father had filled it of things he thought would be useful for her. In fact, it was filled with all the things she got for free from the moneybags start from the shop. There was an entire HM collection, 400k dollars, a collapsible bicycle which was what was making the bag so heavy, her own laptop, her own medical kit, a bunch of headsets for monsters and the collapsible baton to defend herself that she wished she had earlier in her room. Apart from those, there were a lot of spare clothes, a torchlight, a couple of snacks she couldn't eat right now and a stock of batteries for her keytar and the lamp.

How come all this could fit in her small bag?

"Oh, that's right, I forgot about that."

"You? You forgot? Mr. walking memory here forgot something? Quick, I need to write the date on the calendar."

"Hahaha, very funny. It was a detail I forgot because I had no reason to think about it but those bags, mine and hers, were given by the god from the white light. They came from the game."

"What game?"

"It's hard to explain it properly to you but there was a game about battle-monsters in our old world, the bag of the character had almost infinite space in it because there where so many items you needed to collect."

Aurora had played one of the battle-monster games too before, she remembered it.

(Are you saying that our bag have more space than we think?)

"That's exactly right, I was so used to packing everything perfectly so it would fit nicely in the bag, I forgot I could actually put everything in it anyway regardless of its apparent space."

"So you are saying, I could have brought all of my clothes if only I had used your bag?"

"Yes, I'm sorry, it didn't cross my mind at all."

"I am so very annoyed right now, I could slap this building upside down. You'll make up for this right?"

Blaze felt like if he didn't come up with something really quickly, he would deeply regret it.

"How about I carry all your things in my bag from now on so you don't have to do anything?"

"If you carry me too when I get tired, I'll accept your apology."

"Of course, if my hands are free, I will definitely do it."

This wasn't such a bad deal, he had escaped the calamity for now. Meanwhile, Aurora marveled at the fact that even her keytar could get in and out of her bag easily. A truly useful thing, if it had not been free, she would have bought it with points immediately.

Going back to their task, they noted everything on their computer document. They used the opportunity to show Aurora what they had too and the list of what they needed to get in town. They explained to her that it was the reason they came here in the first place, even though it was dangerous for them, they needed a lot of things and would quickly run out of food. Blaze said he had a solution for that but first, they needed to watch the news and share what they had got as starting gifts in the white space.

Blaze shared is things first. He had gotten a VIP ticket and a contract that would guarantee him a constant flow of money and points. Then, of course the envelope, and finally, the pill named soundtrack of your life.

Aurora asked for a demonstration and he made the music heard for them as well. That was quite interesting.

(Can you choose what is playing?)

"I can but I usually prefer to let it do its own thing because it's doing a really good job on its own."

(Maybe I will ask you to play something later.)

"Sure why not, I made Gilly listen to a bunch of songs from the other world already."

"Some are really good."

Then, Aurora told them what she had received, first, a gift card to get something for free which she had already used. Then, she had the ability to use minor magic but it was so minor she hadn't found any use for it yet.

"We'll help you look into it later, this sounds super interesting."

That was frustrating too. Everything she bought had been useless up until now. Can't access this, magic is useless, she couldn't use monsterglot she got for free and then, there was the immortality, equivalent to two gifts.

(How come I am immortal but can still get hurt! Surviving ten years would have been easy if it had worked as it was supposed to.)

"I don't think being immortal is supposed to make you invincible, it just makes you immortal.

(What is the difference?) Aurora genuinely didn't know.

"Someone invincible can't get hurt but could still die of old age or from a weird disease. Someone immortal is the opposite, they cannot die of old age or sicknesses because their cells regenerate too fast. They heal really quick in general too. Did you notice if you ever got sick since you were born?"

He was right, Aurora didn't remember a single time were she was sick.

(So it is working, but not in the way I thought it was? That means I can't become old?)

"Yes, you will stay young forever because your cells will keep repairing themselves and replacing themselves faster than they die. As a side effect, your hair is probably growing slower too since hair is made out of dead cells like fingernails."

(I will stay small forever?) She didn't like this prospect at all.

"No, you will grow up like normal but usually, when someone hit their optimal body, it starts to slowly decay as your body tries to repair the things that breaks. This is what make you get old, the body can't keep up with the rate of deterioration and things like wrinkles starts to appear. No one can escape that fate, except you of course because of your boosted cells."

That guy was really knowledgeable. It meant that she didn't have to worry about getting sick, that was really good to know.

(1) Finally he has a name, I am the happiest man alive, I don't have to write budding-saurian all the time anymore.

(2) Siouplais, This one might be hard to get if you don't go take a look at the google spreadsheet. Instead of the classic magic word Alakazam, I took the magic word we hear more often, please, translated it in French "s'il vous plais" and shortened it to make a name.

(3) Not a word according to the corrector here. We don't care though. XD
