9 Freedom!

Feeling such a pressure being emitted by her body, shock and fear entered their mind. They never thought that a homeless young kid could emit such a pressure. It was at this moment that they thought she was a cultivator, who had disguised herself. The two moved away in shock and by the time they noticed, she was already gone.

Xinyue passed the gate and saw vast grasslands. She propelled herself forward using her ability. She left the road and crouched down in the grasses. She sighed in relief, because she didn't really feel like offending guards and causing trouble when she's still weak.

Looking back at the road, she gradually got up and hovered above the ground. Then she accelerated forward while holding the rag. She used the road to maintain direction and moved forward. The village grew smaller behind her and was replaced with way smaller villages surrounded by farmlands. However, she continued on as he mental energy slowly drained.

It was at this moment that she felt somewhat at peace. Too many things had happened this year, and her only thoughts was only trying to survive. Looking above, she saw the big moon hover in the sky surrounded by stars. Clouds slowly moved about as the landscape passed beneath her feet. Along the way, she spotted several places just like Pitmerden, but went around them.

After some time, the roads stopped and went different directions from a giant forest. Trees gradually appeared and heavily thickened. The fluctuations of the spiritual Qi clearly showed that there was powerful beasts inside. Looks like I can finally eat properly and make money. She thought.

Before entering, she sat down in the grasslands and rested her tensed body. It took an hour of sitting for her to recover most of the mental energy she had expended flying.

Xinyue got and hovered above the ground. She moved forward and watched the trees get thicker and thicker. There was rustling in the bushes and a huge wild boar came out. The size of it was way bigger on Earth, and looked more ferocious. It didn't even care for her and charged with the intent to attack.

However, it's legs collapsed from a sudden increase in pressure on its body. The wild boar attempted to get up but the pressure was too heavy. The last thing it saw was a rusty blade enter it's eye.

Xinyue sighed with a faint smile as she killed the wild boar. Even though she's fearless, the pressure the wild boar gave off slightly disturbed her mind. It must be because I technically don't cultivate that aura's affect me. I need to develop a resistance. She thought.

"Before that, I'll take my time to eat you," she said, glancing at the dead boar.

Before one knew it, the entire boar was skinned proficiently. The fur coats sat out to dry as she roasted meat over a fire. The fat sizzled and released a pleasant aroma that made one's mouth water. When it was ready, she dug in and devoured it like there was no tomorrow. Drinking milk and eating bread for so long made her taste buds run dry.

"So yummy~!" she said as she groaned in pleasure. This meat had never tasted so good in her life. Never did she think that meat could taste this good. It was at this moment the Xinyue promised to never eat so poorly ever again.

As the fire died down, she relaxed her body on the fur coat and enjoyed it's warmth with a full stomach in the first time since forever. Tossing the rag away, she took out the knife and began to create some makeshift clothing. Several minutes went by before she had completed some which could cover most of her body. However, she didn't put it on, because she was quite dirty at the moment. She grabbed the remnant pieces of fur for use.

She climbed up a tall tree and found a comfortable branch before relaxing her body. She put the fur pieces on her body. Tiredness filled her mind as she relaxed herself on the branch. It was then that she dozed off with comfort for the first time.

The next morning came with the rise of birds chirping and insects screaming. The sun came up and some fog entered the area. Xinyue stretched her sore body and got up with a refreshed mind. While her body felt grimy and dirty, she ignored it and landed on the ground. Xinyue picked up her fur clothes and took off into the air.

Xinyue scoured the edges of the forest, looking for a source of water. She's not a robot, and she needs water more than food. Half an hour went by, and she was getting impatient. Just as she was about to rest, she spotted a creek that left the forest and went into the grasslands.

Joyful, she landed nearby and put the fur coat on the ground. The water was clear, and she entered without care. Feeling the grim and dirt come off her body, she couldn't help but release a relaxed breath. All the dirt fell off, revealing her baby skin that still hadn't matured

"Now that I'm all clean, I can finally get to work on becoming strong," she said to herself.
