Draft for Werewolf option.

Life has been nothing but an endless string of unfortunate events. Some my fault others the doing of life. I want nothing more than to have a normal life, but every time I get closer to it fades away like a mirage in a desert. But even so, like a man dying of thirst in a desert, I too look for my oasis I seek salvation for me and my mother. I found it, I took it but it did come at a price.

I was in a car with my mom, we were moving to a town called Beacon Hills. A small quiet town in California. We were moving from Kansas, my mother has gotten a job at a bank there. It was a fresh start for both of us. We were happy, excited and a little nervous about our new life.

We reached our new home in Beacon Hills, we had gotten a house in the suburbs. Mom was happy to see the new house. She looked at me and she asked "Do you like it?"

I smiled and said, "I like it feels homely.."

She smiled and said, "Come let's go check it out."

We got out of the car and Mom walked to the house. I saw that the house next to ours had a moving truck I asked mom "What's the word on our truck?"

She tilted her head a little and said "They said they will be here by evening."

I walked to the door and she got the keys in her hands she smiled and looked at me and asked, "Are you ready?"

I nodded and said "Yeah."

She opened the door and we walked in and it was a good house. She chuckled and said, "Oh, I love this. Isn't it lovely… I am already seeing a couch there, Tv here and a Jacuzzi in the backyard."

I smiled and said, "It is lovely mom." It looks like she likes the house. I said, "I am going to get the boxes out of the car."

I went outside and got the boxes. There were 7 boxes with us in the car. Clothes and stuff. I put the boxes inside and I said "That's the last one."

Mom then said, "Which room do you want?"

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "Anyone is fine really…"

She said, "Then choose one… I'll go and meet the neighbours."

I looked at her and said, "Who's going to be home this time?"

She walked towards me and she said "It's manners, Lucius. Now be a good boy and get the rooms ready." I nodded and she touched my face and she was walking away and she said: "Do not open my boxes or you will be grounded till you graduate!"

I sighed and said "Fine mom." I mumbled, "Like I was going to do that in the first place."

She said, "I heard that." She walked out the door and I took some of my boxes and went upstairs.

I took the last room closer to the left wing of the house. I opened it and I entered the room. It was a good size room, definitely manageable for someone my size, fortunately, there was already a bed there. I put the box down and I went to get the other boxes. I dropped off my moms' boxes in her room.

I entered my room and started to unpack. I was done after half an hour most of my stuff was in the moving van so until that comes here this is it. I opened my bag and got the packet of cigarettes and the lighter and mints. I put them in my pocket and I opened the window and climbed out and I sat on the roof and I opened the packet and I lit the cigarette and took a puff.

I was looking at the suburbs and I saw how quiet and peaceful it was maybe we can start with a clean slate here. I chuckled and I said "Let's see what you have to offer Beacon Hills… I hope you don't disappoint."

It was 9 pm someone knocked on the door. We are in the living room. My mom was on the phone with the moving company they didn't arrive in the evening. My mom said, "Lucius can you get that?"

I went to get the door and I opened the door and it was the delivery boy with the pizza. I got the pizza and paid for it. I closed the door and walked inside the kitchen. My mom was pissed. She grabbed her head and said "I can't believe these guys! They said they will be here the next day."

We sat at the table and I said "Don't be angry… it doesn't help us. Fortunately, we have our essentials."

She sighed and said "Yeah." She looked at me and said, "I just wanted everything to be perfect."

I took a slice and I chuckled and said "Nothing can ever be perfect we just need to focus on the positive and move forward."

She shook her head and she said "You are right…" she looked at me and smiled "Now pass me a slice before you eat it all."

I looked at her and I said "Oh, you wanted to eat as well. I thought all of this was for me."

She laughed and I passed her the box.

After the dinner was done, we went to our rooms to sleep. It was midnight to 1 when we decided to hit the bed. I was in my room and I went out of the room to smoke. I was laying on the roof and I was smoking.

I was looking at the moon hiding behind the clouds. That's when something inexplicable happened. I saw a blue screen appear in front of me. I was shocked to see it. I rubbed my eyes but it was still there. I sighed and said, "It talked about cancer but not that I would lose my mind." I touched the screen and it was solid it felt like I was touching a glass.

There were some texts on it and it said "Bienvenue dans le système loup." I looked at it and I said "Oh, great not only I am losing my mind but it's in french." I sighed and I snubbed the cigarette and I threw it and I got my phone out and I translated it and it said: "Welcome to the wolf system."

I was confused as to what the fuck was going on. The text suddenly changed and it was in english now. It said "You have inherited the wolf system"

I scoffed at it and asked, "And what is this Wolf system?"

The text changed again and it said "The wolf system was bestowed upon your bloodline. The use of it is up to you the user. The system gives you the ability to gain power. Whatever you may choose to do with said power is up to the user itself."

I nodded but then I asked "And what is this wolf business in this system. And how is it that I am seeing it now?"

It said "The wolf in this said system allows you to gain strengths and abilities of a wolf, the said abilities can vary and change and evolve based on user. You would have seen this after you were at a certain stage of life where you needed it and that time seems to be now."

It then said "Now that you have asked the basic questions now. I would like for you to pay attention to what I say." The text changed and it said, "Say status out loud to pull up your status."

I chuckled and I said, "Is this supposed to be like a game or something?" The text didn't change, so I decided to say it anyway by the looks of it nothing bad was about to happen or I could be horribly wrong.

I said "Status." And another blue window popped up and it had all these details.

I looked at the status window and I was confused about this bloodthirst thing. I asked it "Hey what is this bloodthirst?"

It said "This shows up when you are enraged, due to your race's animalistic tendencies you will have the urge to kill someone from time to time, it defines that. It is mostly at its maximum during a full moon."

I took in a deep breath and I said "I stand corrected this is truly horrible."

Then I heard a ping noise and I looked around and no one was there and I saw a notification, I clicked on the bell icon and there were notifications.

I looked at the last quest that it had given me and I was shocked to my core and I said "What the Fuck!"

This is the werewolf system one but to be honest I am not really feeling the whole system part of it. If I was allowed I would like to do something like what I did in twilight one but to be honest this is also exciting and chalenging.
