1 Drunkenly Stumbling Into Danger

Beacon Hills, a small town in northern California home to about 30,000 people. A place not widely known to those outside of the county much less the country. Life in this quaint town was undoubtedly dull, offering little to no distractions to it's youth. Seemingly forcing them to create their own entertainment, for example organizing an enormous house party. Where drugs, sex and alcohol flow non-stop and show no signs of stopping anytime soon.

The door to such a party was roughly blown open, with two young men stepping out. While their relationship was unknown, both shared similar appearances. Both were tall rather good looking guys, with tan skin, dark brown hair and lean musculature with only the length of their hair countering each others. The one in front had his long hair loosely tied with a hairband while the other wore it short and cleanly parted.

It was also the long haired young man, who'd clearly drank too much as he visibly struggled to go down three measly doorsteps. Almost falling face first to the pavement if not for the other young man grabbing onto him.

" Alex, c'mon man let me give you a ride! You're-"

Trying to reason with whom appeared to be his friend was futile as (Alex) forcefully shoved him.

" I'm fine Danny! I told you I'll walk it off..."

Finally free and on the ground, (Alex) began walking away with Danny simply looking on. Alhought when he saw him still stumbling, he sighed before saying his goodbyes.

" Take care of yourself then, I'll see you in practice tommorow!"

(Alex) didn't turn around, simply waving at (Danny) before flipping him off. Almost immediately after, Danny loudly responded to his obscene gesture.

" Right back at you!"

_

After turning the corner, (Alex) continued walking only this time opting to do so on the paved road. Having come to this specific neighborhood several times before, he knew that no cars would be out this late. Giving him an unhindered view of the starry night sky high above. With such an amazing view and the cold night wind hitting him in the face he quickly made his way out of that residential area and into the open road.

Almost twenty minutes later (Alex) was more or less sleepwalking through the road. Seeing as how both of his eyes were visibly closed half the time and would constantly wobble from side to side. Yet one though in particular kept naggingly bouncing around in his head.

' Why even go back home for?'

Recalling his housing situation where he lived alone since both his mom and dad were working overseas. Alex, actually thought about heading back to the party and continuing to drink.

" Fucking shit."

Seriously thinking about turning around, Alex stopped walking only for something to catch his attention. In front of him, no more than a few feet away, he saw a young woman run past him and into the nearby woods. Albeit not at the perfect angle to make out how she looked, he was able to see as she struggled to continue running.

" Hey, are you okay!?"

Curious about the girl's situation (Alex) decided to call out to her, only to completely ignored.

" What's her deal?"

Now having entirely forgotten about heading back home or returning to the party, (Alex) decided to follow after her.

" She might be in trouble... I should probably check up on her."

Entering the woods through the same makeshift path as the unknown girl. (Alex) tried to remember if he'd ever seen her in town before. After wasting several seconds rattling his brain on that question, he unexpectedly catched up to the girl. As to how exactly that happened, it was when he almost tripped over her unconscious body.

" Holy shit! Hey what's wrong!? Are you okay?!"

Seeing her laying on the ground face down, (Alex) hurriedly crouched down and tried to pick her up. Unable to contain his curiosity any longer, (Alex) very slowly and carefully turned her over. As he did so he could literally feel his blood rushing to a very specific body part.

" Woah..."

Finally being able to see her, specifically up close (Alex) was honestly left in awe of her beauty. Any words that he could think of to describe the girl in his arms wouldn't be enough.

" ...un ..ay..."

Contrary to what he thought, she wasn't unconscious seeing as she tried to speak albeit failed to do so. Unfortunately, as she struggled to talk, (Alex) only now noticed a large open wound on her abdomen.

" Y-you're bleeding! We need to get you to a hospital."

Seeing the rapidly expanding blood stain on her clothes and some on his own hands helped (Alex) sober up. Then if that wasn't enough, she somehow pulled herself up and whispered the following into his ear.

" Run away..."

Shocked by her ominous words, and still buzzed (Alex) stumbled back. Only for a loud thunderous roar to jolt him right back up and snap him out of his momentary daze.

In an act either fuled by pure adrenaline or extreme horror, (Alex) threw her over his shoulder and started running as fast as he possibly could. Being a starter in his school's lacrosse team granted him some confidence in his strength and speed. Although that confidence instantly shattered following the sound of their pursuer's heavy steps closing in on them.

' What The Fuck Is That!?'

With another shot of adrenaline released into his body, (Alex) ramped up his speed again. Doing that, he managed to make some headway towards an exit out of the woods. Although the desire to know what was following them was still firmly inside his mind. Mainly because he was positive it definitely wasn't a mountain lion or a wolf.

(Alex) thoughts would temporarily deviate when soft groans entered his ears. They'd obviously come from the unconscious young woman he was roughly carrying. Leaving him no other choice than to softly reassures her that he'd get her out of these woods.

Their pursuer meanwhile began to let out ferocious snarls and seemed to be picking up speed by the heavy sound of it's limbs hitting the ground.

' YOU'VE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING BE RIGHT NOW!!'

(Alex) inwardly screamed at himself, as the possibility of getting out of these woods started to look closer to zero. Afraid of what he'll see if he turns back, he closed his eyes and started praying.

Listening to the inhuman snarls coming from his back ultimately forced him to imagine what would happen if they were caught. The numerous horrendous and gorey deaths that would certainly await them playing in his head. As these thoughts started to fill every inch his mind, a seemingly unreachable sight came into view. That of a street lamp lit road, signifying the end of their horror and hopefully guaranteeing their survival. Taking a large leap forward to reach it even a second sooner, (Alex) made the abnormal decision to turn his back mid jump. What awaited him were two large bloodthirsty eyes that instantly locked onto him.

' Fuck...'

Landing heavily on the paved road, (Alex) could only watch in horror as those same crimson eyes glared at him from within the shadows.

' Is this really how I'm going to die?'

However much that he wanted to reject the thought, (Alex) knew that in front of this monster he was absolutely helpless. Those evil crimson eyes were full of hunger, but more importantly utter hatred. Left with no hope of survival, he decided to at least protect the young woman one last time. Tightly wrapping his arms around her, and covering with his body.

" Goodbye, mom and dad."

Coming across some peace of mind, (Alex) shut his eyes and awaited his presumably gorey death.

" Don't say goodbye just yet."

A melodic voice softly resounded near (Alex) ears moments before he felt a trembling hand on his chest. Then before he knew it, his back was against the pavement and witnessed as the young woman stood, appearing to confront the monster in the dark.

Standing there, confidently facing off against the unknown inhuman monstrosity, (Alex) felt that she was the most spectacular amazing women he'd ever seen. She wasn't just beautiful beyond reason, her strength was far more than any man he'd seen as well. Caught up in the moment, (Alex) didn't realize that he'd been running through the woods like a madman, but his body sure did. Slowly but surely his eyelids became increasingly heavy and his consciousness started to fade. Clenching his jaw with all his might to stay awake, he was able to make out the woman's figure prior to hearing an ear piercing howl escape her lips.

The sound of which was so intense that it shook (Alex) right awake. For the next few seconds he tried to rationalize what he'd just witnessed to no avail. Culminating in him staring blankly at the mysterious woman. Who was now steadily walking towards him, causing (Alex) to look in the direction of the monster who was no longer there.

Before he knew it, the woman stood directly in front of him, and without any prior warning helped him up. Not knowing what to do or say, (Alex) continued to stare at her spitting out random words.

" I-i, u-um.. t-hat w-was... Y-you..."

Returning his intense gaze, the mysterious beauty tightly embraced (Alex).

" Thank you for saving me. And I'm sorry for what I'm about to do."

Puzzled at the sudden apology, (Alex) is left unable to react as he soon feels a burning sensation on his neck. Turning his head towards the odd sensation he sees the woman biting down on his neck.

" What the..."
