Chapter 9 Argents

It has been several days since our victory. The only thing worth mentioning is that the Alpha attacked the bus driver.

And today we have a date with the four of us. Yes, you understood correctly. Almost everything, as in the canon, only I am in Scott's place.

/ Allison's Bedroom|

Alison and Lydia are currently in Alison's bedroom, choosing her outfit for a date.

Alison takes the dress with a hanger and shows it to Lydia, who only says:

- Next one.

Alison puts the dress back and picks up another one only to hear "next" from Lydia.

Lydia, deciding that it will be faster if she chooses a dress herself, gets up from a sitting position, and goes to the locker.

"Let me see," Lydia said, and began to examine each dress.

- Neither this, nor this, and not this. All this is not the same. Lydia says, but at this moment she notices a black dress that will really look good.

"Exactly that," Lydia said, happily finding a suitable dress.

Then the door opens and Alison's father walks in. Lydia and Alison look at him and greet him.

"Hi, Dad," Alison said.

- Okay, I'm sorry, I had to knock, Argent says, realizing that his daughter was not waiting for him.

Lydia plops down on the bed and also greets him, saying:

"Hello, Mr. Argent.

"Dad, do you need anything?" Alison asks, looking at her father.

"I wanted to tell you that you're staying at home today," Chris tells them.

- what? But Dad, I have a meeting with friends tonight, Alison replied.

"Not when some animal attacks people," Chris explains.

- But Dad... when Alison wanted to start talking, Chris cuts her off saying:

- Alison, this is not in my hands, there is a curfew in the city, no one is allowed out after 9.30 pm.

"Hey, stop arguing," Chris says, seeing his daughter disappointed.

Alison sighs angrily as her father leaves the room.

- Hmm, who is our father's little girl here? Lydia says, getting up, and not expecting that she will be so obedient.

- Not today, says Alison, takes her hat and goes out on the roof, opening the window. After that, she comes to the edge, and jumps to the ground by doing a somersault.

Seeing all this, Lydia simply decides to go down the stairs, thereby saying goodbye to Allison's father and mother.

/ Bowling|

Two girls drive up in Lydia's car and already notice Jack and Jackson standing in front of the building.

After greeting each other, they go inside the building. Then they take bowling shoes and order a track for the game.

Well, we can say that everything was as in the original, except that Jack and Alison won the game very easily.

After the game, I decided to take Alison to her house.

/ Gas station|

Meanwhile, at a gas station in Beacon Hills, Derek pulls up and starts filling up the car when he sees two Jeeps approaching him from both sides.

Chris Argent comes out of one in front of him, and two unknown hunters come out of the other. Derek waited a little while for the gas to fill up, then took out the pump and closed the tank.

Seeing all this, Kriss approaches him and says:

- Nice car. Although black cars are very difficult to keep clean, I would definitely put more effort into maintenance. If you have something good, you want to take care of it, right? Personally, I am very careful about what I love, my family taught me this. You don't have many of them these days, do you? While I was washing the windshield.

Derek clenches his fist, his joints crunching from the pressure he puts on them to keep from losing control.

- That's all. Now you can look through the windshield much better. I was hoping that this would make everything much clearer, says Chris, putting away cleaning supplies.

- I forgot to check the oil, Derek boldly says to Chris, who returns to his car.

Chris grins and turns to his people and says:

- Check it out.

To which one of the hunters approaches the car and breaks the window with the butt of a rifle.

- I like it, turns around and goes back to his car.

"Drive carefully," Chris says to Derek, getting into the car and leaving with the other hunters.

A few days later came the day of Kate Argent's arrival in Beacon Hills. I knew about this, but decided not to do anything. I mean, I'm not going to stop Keith from shooting Derek.

|Argent House|

It's morning, and Alison, who has just woken up, runs to her aunt's room, screaming excitedly, jumps into Kate's arms, both hugging each other.

"I haven't seen you for a whole year, and you've turned into this damn beautiful model?" Look at you, ugh, I hate you, Kate says playfully.

"I haven't even showered yet." Alison answers shyly, hiding her face in her hands, sitting on Kate's bed.

"Honey, you're gorgeous, I bet the guys must be lining up behind you," Kate tells Ellison.

"Just one," Allison admits with a shy smile, and tilts her head to slide onto the bed.

- Do you have one? You should have a million, Kate says, teasing Allison, and they both laugh.

- Do you need help unpacking? She suggests Kate."I still have to go to school." She reaches out, trying to open the nearest gym bag lying on the bed.

- No, Kate's sharp and stern tone makes her freeze, but it's the hand squeezing her wrist that really scares Allison, making her shudder looking into Kate's face.

"I'm sorry, honey, but look at me. You understand beauty, and I understand the stranglehold of kung fu. Kate laughs it off with a grin, standing up and moving the bag Allison was looking at into the closet.

"It's okay," Alison says weakly, feeling anything but that.

"Hey, by the way, is your car all right?" Alison asks because she remembers that her father left at 2 am because of problems with Kate's car.

"Yeah, yeah, I just needed a push, that's all," Kate lies.

- Just a push? Alison asks quietly. But her father told her last night that he had a flat tire.

- You know what, she says, - " I have to get ready for school. See you later!" she forces herself to smile and leave the room, trying not to think about what it could mean.

But she realized that her family was lying to her. They were lying about something. And Alison is going to find out.

|History lesson|

I sit and watch Scott sitting next to me and fidgeting, looking at the teacher who was currently taking an assessment test. And behind him, Stiles was sitting, asking about the murder of a bus driver in the hospital.

At this moment, the teacher comes up to us and gives us the test answers. Stiles got an A, Scott got a B, and I got an A, too.

|School corridor|

Derek stumbles down the hall, pale and tired, and hears someone putting things in his locker. He recognizes Jackson and goes to him.

"Where's Jack Anderson?" Or Scott McCall? Derek asks wearily.

"Why should I tell you?" Jackson asks after examining Derek.

"Because I asked you politely. And I only do it once, Derek replies, thereby warning him.

"Hmm, okay, tough guy, how about I help you find them, but you tell me what you're selling them," Jackson says, trying to make a deal with Derek.

- What are you selling? Is it a steroid? Jackson asks.

- Steroids? Derek asks, puzzled.

- Let's not do all this. What the hell am I talking about? Oh, and by the way, whatever you sell, don't use the deputy. You look like shit. Jackson taunts him.

Derek, seeing that blood is flowing and dripping down his arm, decides to avoid the conversation by telling Jackson:

- I'll find them myself, going around him and going to find Jack or Scott, only for Jackson to grab his shoulder, trying to stop him, saying:

- No, we're not done yet.

In response, Derek slammed Jackson's face into the locker, holding him by the neck.

Releasing him, Derek runs down the corridor and rests in a corner a few turns away from Jackson, trying to find Scott and Jack with the help of enhanced hearing.

"Jack and I are hanging out at my place after school, and I'll introduce him to my parents at dinner," Allison says.

"So you're going out with Jack?" Lydia grins, turning the word over in her mouth.

- Why do you say that? Allison asks cautiously, following her.

Lydia grins in her throat: "Because it's never just a 'party', you know. So are you ready?"

Allison looks a little worried, which is almost cute: "Ready? For what? We will just talk about something and maybe look at some training materials..."That

's not what I meant," Lydia says tartly. - "You know..."she smiles slyly, gesturing with her hands.

"No," Allison frowns, " I don't know what you mean," but there's a hint of understanding in her voice.

"Condoms," she announces, enjoying the way Allison's face turns pale. "Think about it, honey, and enjoy your French," she says, stepping back:

- Maybe you'll learn something here, she likes to watch Allison's facial expressions go through various emotions before she finally tilts her head, letting her hair slide in front of her eyes in embarrassment. "I'm kidding," she leaned forward before pulling away — " I'll see you later."

Upon hearing this, a bell rings, which stuns Derek.

|School parking lot|

Stiles gets in the car to go home, but when he pulls out of his parking spot, Derek walks in front of his Jeep, causing Stiles to stop in shock.

Scott, who is now taking his bike, hears the horns from the car behind Stiles ' Jeep, turns around and sees what is happening. Seeing Derek fall, Scott runs up to him.

"What are you doing here?" Scott asks, sitting on one knee.

"I was shot," Derek says.

"He doesn't look good, man," Stiles says, getting out of the car and talking about them.

"Why aren't you healing?" Scott asks, puzzled.

"I can't, it was a different type of bullet," Derek tells him.

"What, a silver bullet?" Stiles asks.

- No, you idiot. Derek says, annoyed by Stiles ' antics.

"Wait, is that what she meant when she said you have 48 hours?" Scott recalls an overheard conversation between Kate and Chris.

- What, who said that I have 48 hours? Derek asks, puzzled.

- The woman who shot you, Scott answers.

At this moment, Derek is hit by a wave of pain, and he loses control of his shift, and his eyes start to glow, while the cars behind Stiles are still humming.

- What are you doing? Stop it. Scott speaks, seeing Derek's eyes.

"Have I tried to tell you that I can't?" Derek answers.

"Help me get him in your car," Scott says, looking at Stiles.

After both teenagers helped put him in the car, they drove off in the direction of the veterinary clinic.

[At the Argent House]

I'm standing with Allison in their garage right now. There are several cars here, and in addition, you can see weapons on the walls.

But the most important thing now is the girl standing in front of me. She is now pulling a bow and showing her skills.

"Oh, you look great with this," I said with a smile.

- Really? Do you think so? Allison asked me curiously.

- Of course, these trophies and certificates... Maybe you can teach me archery? I asked with a grin.

"Of course, if you ask," she said, also with a grin.

- By the way, all these weapons belong to your father, right? I asked, amazed at these views.

- Well, yes, I told you that my father is engaged in the arms trade, Allison said, looking at me.

"Yeah," I said, and nodded. Although I knew exactly why he needed these weapons.

And at that moment, I feel something warm and wet on my lips, and I notice Allison kissing me. Without waiting for a long time, I also returned the kiss. And with that, her hands began to wander through my hair, and I took her by the waist and held her closer to me. Her lips were sweeter than honey and this taste intoxicated me, plunging me into a state of unearthly happiness and sweet euphoria...

[At the same moment, a view from Ellison]

After his nod, I don't know, but I couldn't control myself. Maybe it's because of what Lydia said, but I just took and pressed my lips to his lips. At first, I felt that he was surprised. But after that, he also began to respond to my kiss. His lips were so soft and sweet that I just immersed myself in it and began to wander my hands through his hair. While we were still kissing, suddenly the garage door opened, thereby interrupting our kiss.

I quickly pulled away and pulled Jack to the side, behind the nearest car. We crouch down and begin to hear some voices.

[View from Jack]

- And what were you doing here? Chris shifts his weight slightly so that he is in sight, hovering over them.

"Maybe you two can help with the groceries," Chris suggests when he doesn't get an answer.

When I hear him, I nod, and together with the shy Ellison we get up and go in the direction of the bags.

- Now to you? I said to Allison, bringing one of the last bags. Allison took the bag from me and shook her head in agreement.

"Shouldn't you be going home, Jack?" Chris asked me, appearing behind Allison like an overprotective father. Seeing this scene, I remember that he was not so good at the beginning of the story.

"No, we were going to study..." I wanted to say, but I was interrupted.

"Hello! You must be Jack!" Kate appears with a smile on her face and carrying the last bag. "I've heard a lot about you from Allison."

So there was a reason for all this mess. She will be a problem in the fourth season, maybe I should finish him off at the end so that she doesn't become a werewolf? I thought when I saw her.

"Hi, and you must be Kate, Allison's aunt," I said with a smile.

- Ohh, that's a smile. Now I understand why my niece fell in love with you, she said with a grin, and looking at Allison blushing. - "By the way, you're staying for dinner, aren't you?"

- If I may, why not? I answered, looking first at Kate, then at Chris. His face looked funny, I told myself.

- Of course, Victoria is just preparing dinner right now, she said, looking at Chris, thereby telling him to calm down.

[Allison's Room]

We were just sitting in Allison's room and chatting about various things, but at that moment my phone rang.

"Hello, Jack?" Stiles asked me.

"Hello, Stiles, it's me. I said to Stiles, recognizing his voice.

"Jack, we need your help. Stiles said very quickly.

"Which one?" I asked him, although I already knew what they wanted to ask me.

"Derek was shot with an aconite bullet. He says it was Kate Argent, and we need the same bullet.

- Okay, I'll get it. Where are you now? I asked him.

- We are currently in Scott's work. You know where it is, right? He asked uncertainly.

"Yes, I know," I assured him.

"Hurry up, there's not much time left," he said quickly, and at that moment I heard Derek growling in the background.

"Don't worry," I said, and hung up.

"Who was that?" Allison asked me as soon as I hung up.

"Stiles," I said, looking at her. "Allison, I need your help."

- Yes, of course, how can I help? She asked me with a smile.

"I need the bullet that's in your aunt's bag," I said, looking at her. She was confused by my answer, but still asked uncertainly:

- Why? I waited for her answer and said:

- My friend needs it, without it he may die. And it also concerns the secret of your family. In addition, he is involved in my secret. I said confidently, deciding that I would tell her everything about werewolves.

"My family's secret?" She asked, confused."Will you tell me about it?" she asked uncertainly.

- Yes, soon there will be a good chance to show everything. I said and hugged her.

- Okay, I'll help you. She said with determination in her voice. She wanted to find out what her family was hiding and find out Jack's secret. She accepted it as a mission. The mission is "to steal a bullet from my aunt's things". She's done stranger things, so it's not a problem. After that, we were called down for dinner. Allison's parents sat at both ends of the table, and Allison and I sat on one side of the table opposite Kate.

"Jack, do you want something else to drink besides water?" Victoria asked me.

"No, thank you," I said politely.

"I can get you a beer, Jack. Chris suggested.

- No, thank you. I answered confidently.

"A shot of tequila?" Or don't you drink? Chris asks me, offering further suggestions.

- Dad, really? Allison asks, pretending to make him stop.

"I don't like to drink," I told Chris.

"Oh, it's rare," Victoria replied with raised eyebrows. - "Some teenagers are not even stopped by their age."

- Well, it's everyone's choice and decisions, like I'm being interrogated now. Isn't that right, Mr. Argent? I answered and finally turned to Ellison's father.

- Good answer. But... when Chris wanted to say something, he was interrupted.

- Okay, let's change the conversation to something less conservative, so I heard that you're on the Lacrosse team. Can you tell me about this game, Kate asked me.

- Hmm, it's probably a cross between hockey and American football. That is, we have a stick and a rubber ball that we carry in it and have to score it into the opponent's goal. I tried to explain. - "It would be better if you personally watch the game."

- So, it's a tough game, like hockey with football, isn't it? She asked with a smile.

- Yes, we can knock other players down. I answered and got a message from Stiles: "Hurry up!"

- It sounds cruel, I like it. This is Kate speaking.

- Jack is an amazing player. Allison replied, looking at her father.

- He was good. Chris says, remembering the last scene.

- He scored the last and winning shot. Allison says with a sweet smile.

"True, but he hardly played until the second half," Chris said with a grin.

- But he scored 3 out of 7 goals, and even broke the goalkeeper's net with the last one. Allison said, trying to defeat her father.

- Come on, I think that the goalkeeper played with a faulty stick. This is Chris speaking.

- Well, yes, you're probably right. Anyway, can you pour me a shot of that tequila? I joked, hearing Allison's heartbeat quicken.

The adults laugh, and Chris answers: "Good joke." To which I just smile.

Soon after, I apologize and ask where the bathroom is. Allison, realizing what I mean, decides to accompany me.

Then Allison and I walk in the direction of Kate's room. As soon as we went inside, Allison, opening the closet, takes out a bag from there. I knew where these bullets were, so I approach Allison, who has already opened the bag. I open the box and see various bullets inside, in the center of which is a wooden box. I open it, and I see several rifle bullets with an unpleasant smell. I quickly took one and hid it in my shoe.

"Is this it?" Allison asks me, seeing how I hid the bullet in my shoe.

- Yes, and now let's go, they must have been waiting for us, I said to Ellison

"All right," she said, and we went downstairs.

"Thank you for dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Argent, but I have to leave now. There were urgent cases. I said, walking up to the table.

- Oh no, you should stay for dessert, I want to know more about you, sit down. This is Kate speaking.

"Okay," I said, and sat down next to Allison again.

- Jack, what do you think attacks people? Chris asks me.

- Maybe some kind of animal? For example, a mountain lion or a wolf? I answer.

- There should be a fairly large mountain lion. "By the way, there are no wolves in California."

"Oh, yes, you're right. But they could have come back for revenge. I said, which Kate looked at with narrowed eyes.

- What do you think about rabid dogs? Chris asks me with a smile.

"You're asking me what I'm thinking?" Well, rabid dogs don't suddenly become like that. To begin with, they get infected from something. I said.

- Yes, you're right, there are two stages of infection. Do you know what a mad dog can do in a cage? They will do anything to get out of there, even break their spine. This is a complete change of character. This harmless animal has turned into a completely cruel killer. And it all started with one bite. Chris says, looking straight into my eyes.

"Oh, I agree with you, Mr. Argent. I said with a smile. "But not many people will start killing everything they see in front of their eyes. It's going to take more than just a bite, isn't it? For example, if they threaten something expensive, " I said with confidence.

Chris simply didn't answer this, but instead Allison asked the same question as in the canon.

After dinner, I went to my room to pack my things.

"I'm sorry," Allison said, looking at me sadly.

"Don't worry, and don't be sad about it," I said with a smile and pulled her into my arms.

After that, we went downstairs, and I was about to leave, but I heard Keith's voice.

"Jack, wait, I need to talk to you," Kate said as she came down the stairs.

- Yes? I asked her.

- What did you take from my bag? Kate asked.

- I don't know what you mean. Are you sure I took something? I asked with a confident look.

"Yes, I'm sure," Kate said, feeling rather uncomfortable.

- What are you talking about? Chris asks, coming up to us.

"My bag was left locked in the guest room, and when I came back, it was open, and since Jack asked to go to the bathroom today, it's probably his fault.

"He didn't take anything," Allison says, fidgeting a little. - "I took this when I went to show Jack the bathroom" and showed him a condom taken out of her pocket.

- Oh, I think I owe you an apology, Jack. Let me know if you need anything. Kate said, winking at the end.

- It's okay, I said and left the house and went to my car.

I got in the car and headed to Scott's work. But before I got there, I sent messages to Ellison with the contents: "Thank you)".

- You have a debt, she sent in response, to which I just smiled.

[Veterinary clinic]

Quickly arriving, I went inside and saw Scott with Stiles holding Derek.

- Finally you came, got a bullet? Both of them asked me at the same time.

"Yes," I said quickly, and gave it to Derek.

- Well, it seems to be the same bullet. Derek says, examining the bullet.

"It was written about the Scandinavian monkshood," I told him.

- Yes, it is a kind of monkshood. Derek responds by opening the bullet with his teeth, taking a cap with monkshood powder and pouring it on some table.

Then he takes out a lighter and burns the powder, after the original flame stops burning, Derek scoops up the ash, and smears it over his wound. Then he begins to thrash, growling in pain, but the purple veins coming out of the wound quickly narrow and soon disappear.

- Are you all right? Scott asks, seeing Derek get to his feet.

"Well, except for the excruciating pain," Derek says.

- Well, then I'll go home, I tell them and head for the exit.

- Jack, do you want me to show you why you shouldn't mess with the Argents? Derek asks me.

"Nah, thanks, I already know if you mean Peter," I said and went home.

Now, according to the canon, Derek had to pick up Scott to show him the burned Peter. But why would I do that?

I've been typing for a very long time, thank you for reading and supporting me!
