--Allison POV--

When I was about to fall in despair the glass behind me got shattered.

The guy who was holding me from behind released me and tried to charge at the new entry, but by the time I turned around, the same man who had immobilized and abused me, had his head smashed against the wall. He was knocked out in one in hit.

The guy who did this was tall and had the body of a greek god, his eyes were different from the yellow of the others, his glowed of golden, as if to show his superiority.

"Thomas" He was different, but it was undoubtedly him.

For a moment I feared he too would be a mad monster like the others, but it seemed he was still himself.

"Help Lydia with Malia, while I distract them".

"Pay attention to Jackson, he can immobilize you with his nails" I told him.

"Jackson?" He asked.

"The reptile man is Jackson".

"Thanks, now go" he said and charged at Jackson.

I reached Lydia and Malia, while Thomas took care of Jackson and the other man.

"How much longer is it going to take for you to move again" Asked Lydia.

"Few minutes, I can already move my fingers." Answered Malia while moving said fingers a little.

"For now, Allison takes away Malia, I'm staying here to watch Thomas".

"What are you going to do? He is an alpha; you are just going to get yourself killed" stated Malia.

"He is one against two I can't leave him behind, I won't meddle if he isn't in danger".

"And if he is?" I asked.

"Then they'll have to deal with me before even trying to get to him" said Lydia with an unwavering will. The usual playful girl was nowhere to be seen; I could tell she meant everything she said.

"I'll come and help you the moment I can move" said Malia.

"You better run as fast as you can then, since you always state you are the best in that" replied Lidia with a smile as a tear formed in her eye.

Is this the strength of their love?

--MC POV--

"Seems like Scott will be useless to my plan" said Peter as he threw the still disoriented Scott against the wall and knocked him out, just as fast as it took me to deal with his beta.

I don't have any idea of what Jackson has become, but he is quite adept at using his tail and from what Allison told me, I must pay attention to his nails, as it seems they produce some kind of toxin capable of incapacitating others.

As he charged at me again, I blocked both of his arm and when the tail grabbed my leg trying to pull me down, I just pushed my feet inside the floor to remain stable and while this happened I bit its arm and ripped it.

Just when I was about to use my free arm to punch the reptile monster, Peter blocked my arm and slashed my back with its claws.

The wound was deep, and immediately I released Jackson and put some distance between us.

As blood leaked from the wound my mind started to get fussy, because of the pain that kept messing with my thoughts.

Peter soon charged at me, trying to slash me again with his nails, but I was able to avoid them as I tried to circumnavigate him and attack his flack, but having already predicted my move Peter used the shoulder of his outstretched arm to push me against the wall.

In the process I was able to attack him with my claws, but the impact against the wall was strong enough to break some of my bones, while the would I gave him was not big enough to affect his fighting capabilities.

I was losing and I could feel it, but I couldn't give up, so I just endured the pain and charged at him again.

He was clearly more capable than me in fighting and our strength matched; it was only because of my will that I was still standing, but even this was not enough when Jackson sneaked behind me and with his remaining arm he left a cut behind my neck, injecting the toxin in my body.

"Seems like your time has come" said Peter as he approached me, but I refused to give him the satisfaction of being scared.

"Congratulation for winning a fight against a guy half your age and with the help of an ally" I said smirking.

"NO!" Lydia came out from the corner, and it was then that I started to really feel dread.

Seeing my reaction Peter smiled and a sadistic expression appeared on his face.

"Seems like we'll have the chance to have a fair fight now that you have an ally. I'm curious of what you'll fell at the sight of your girlfriend dead body" NO, I can't let Lydia die. Move!

"Run Lydia!" I knew it was useless, she couldn't outrun an alpha, but it was all I could do at the moment.

Peter got near her while polishing his nails, and I could see my girlfriend tremble in front of him, but when he was one meter from her, she breathed in more air she could and screamed toward him, while holding out her hand as if she wanted to push him away.

The sound seemed to become physical, pushing Peter against the wall and since he had underestimated Lydia and approached her in his human form he must have took a lot of damage.

"Fuck! I indeed thought you were a banshee, but I never expected you to already know how to use your voice as a weapon" His hands were on his ears as he cleaned the blood that came out of them.

"But you can be sure that I won't let you get a free hit twice" while saying this, he transformed again in his beast form and Jackson tried to get behind her.

Even if she was able to do that attack again, she won't have any chance now, but before they could come near her another intruder arrived.

"Peter!" Laura voice resounded through the hallway, and she soon appeared with Derek.

At the same time Malia got back here, as it seems the effect of the toxin disappeared.

We now had the numerical advantage, and the other party was injured, but even then, I know just how dangerous Jackson and Peter are and I don't know if Laura can already fight with her full strength.

Seeing the new entries Peter realized he had to run away as a fight would be too dangerous. So he took from the floor his beta I knocked out earlier and he ran away followed by Jackson.

Derek tried to follow him, but he was stopped by Laura.

"The Argents or the police could come here any moment, we must take away Thomas and the others".

Derek was still eager to run after Peter, but he knew that his sister was right, so he decided to do as she said.

In a matter of minutes, we reached Allison, and I started feeling my fingers again.

We were all alive just because of luck and I truly felt fear today, but also anger toward both Peter and myself as I realized I'm still weak.

Laura smelling the emotions that came from me, looked at me with a smile.

"You did well by fighting both Peter and the kanima alone, you did all you could" so that thing is called kanima.

"Can someone tell me what happened?!" asked Allison and I know that we must answer her questions now or the Argents will have to be the one to explain to her everything and we would risk being exposed and hunted.

Moreover Allison could side with them, they are her family after all.
