Chapter 2

"What the hell is this thing," he asked while sitting on the couch after both the parents decided to tell him that magic exists.

"Jack Shang, although you are new to magic, you will still do well to remember how you speak" Mrs. Shang yelled at jack.

"Honey it's not that bad" Mr.Shang sheepishly said.

"Not helping" she snapped back "And to answer your question it's the Asian Thunderbird, which is, in my opinion, better than the American thunderbird".

"Why is that" Jack was baffled as to how different could they be, we are talking about a magical species, not some random bird.

"It comes down to evolution because The Asian thunderbird had to compete with dragons, Phoenixes, The Fenghuang, and even sometimes a Wyvern but that is very rare as you could probably count the number of wyverns on one's hands and feet" Mrs. Shang replied with a smile on her face as though this was the most interesting thing in the world "While the American thunderbird has no natural predators, none at all meaning over millions of years their powers dwindled as they didn't need them, not only that but the American thunderbird only ran away instead of fighting, But that doesn't mean that they aren't powerful".

After Mrs. Shang finished speaking The Thunderbird that sat upon Jack's shoulder looked up as to show that it was better.

"And because of the natural predators, The Asian thunderbird is as terribly prideful as even these mighty creatures can't do squat to them, just because of their speed let alone their raw power from controlling lightning and the power of storms, which is curious as it chose you for as its master" Mr. Shang decided to but into the conversation which earned him a stare from Mrs. Shang.

"If all that is true, and it is incredibly prideful, then why did it choose me, I mean I've only known the magical world for 5 minutes," Jack asked both of his parents as they seemed to know the answer to every one of his questions so far.

"That isn't something we could know, as Thunderbirds are so prideful there has only been one other person that has had one, and that guy is about 1500 years in the grave, so that is for you to figure out..." Mr. Shang Replied quickly and stopped abruptly like he wanted to ask something but couldn't word it right "By the way What are you going to name him".

"Hmmm" as jack thought about it, he hasn't even thought about naming him so he just blurted out what he thought "Electro".

Peck Peck Peck Peck Peck.

"Hahaha, no offense my son but you may have to do better" Mr. Shang laughed while slapping his knee, which Mrs. Shang quickly responded with a slap to the back of his head, needless to say, he shut up pretty quick.

"You could have just said you didn't like it you little shit," Jack thought to himself, and as he really didn't want to get pecked anymore this time he really put some thought into it….. Well he is a thunderbird so, Lei, no that's not majestic enough, Rhiainfelt that means the maiden of lightning in welsh, cool but not Asian enough nor is he a she, hmmm, let's go with "Kaminari".

In an instant, the thunderbird started to hover above Jack releasing hundreds of lightning bolts into the sky smashing the ceiling and roof of the house to bits, the amount of energy sent both Mrs. Shang and Mr. Shang across the room, while Jack started to float to the thunderbird getting closer and closer, the closer he got to the bird the closer he got to blacking out from but something made him hold on, just out of reach jack held out his arm once he barely grazed his feather he blacked out getting sent flying towards his now screaming parents, who were half tempted to just kill the thunderbird, but didn't out of fear of killing their son.

"Your majesty" A very nicely dressed man came running into the hall completely disregarding all edicate "Someone tamed the thunderbird".

"WHAT" The Emperor jumped up from the throne and yelled so loudly that even the sonorous spell would fall short "WHO".

"It was the boy from the Shang family" The man quickly said.

"What, Bullshit" The emperor snapped back "Do you think something that prideful would choose a family that has only had semi-talented people in it, guards take this liar away" only after that did the emperor sit back down, and he looked like he wanted to personally strangle the minister for giving him such a heart attack.

Just as the guards were about to take the man away, a loud crack was heard next to the emperor which made everyone think that he apparated away but the only thing different was that a man was standing next to the emperor.

After the man whispered something into his ear he disapparated making The frail-looking man slump back into his chair with disbelief.

"Tell the headmaster to personally sent the boy to Fenghuang, also tell him to make sure that to watch him while he is in the forbidden city getting his magical supplies and equipment" it was only after minutes of silence that he spoke up and then he just disappeared.

In England, a very old man was talking to another person dawning emerald robes and a plain black pointy hat,.

"Minerva, Everything will be fine, the potter residence is heavily guarded by the order and a Fidelius charm".

"Still, can't we at least let them stay at Hogwarts for the school year, if not because of Voldemort but because Lily is an excellent witch and James an excellent wizard, they could be assistant professors at the least" .

"Fi-".

In an instant the room got hotter, and brighter much brighter, both Dumbledore and McGonagall had to put their hands in front of their face lest they get blinded. After a couple of seconds, the room got dimmer and began to cool down, albeit very slowly as even the stone floors were steaming.

"Fawkes, what is wrong" Dumbledore called out to the Phoenix that was still circling in the air while holding out his arm seeming to signal to it to land, but it didn't, it just continued to circle in the air.

"Dumbledore, what is wrong with him".

"I do not know this has never happened before".
