Teardrops are precious things. They are proof of struggles, of hardships, of the strength required to get through them. But for some creatures, they are precious in an even more literal sense of the word. After all, even humans know of mermaids' tears. The depths of the sea hold many secrets. Years ago, one merman learned the hard way why they remain hidden under the waters. In the year 2018 though, times are different. One young man must decide whether to follow in his ancestors' footsteps and keep his lips sealed or grow to trust his new found family. They bring him feelings of warmth that he has never felt before but he knows fully well how two-faced people can be. To make things more complicated for him, the girl he feels closest to makes him feel things. Makes him see things. Snippets of a life in the past. From a life as a merman. A difficult life. As his feelings for her and his new family grow, so do his memories of the past life. Eventually, he must decide whether to distinguish between the people in either life or give up his 'family' once and for all... - Updates: Mondays Full disclaimer: I watched 'The Legend of the Blue Sea' after coming up with this plot and recognize that there are similarities between the two.
