Kaput... The engine had died, the smashed front of the car belched thick black smoke engulfing the cracked windscreen. Specks of purple ash floated in the air. The driver was unconscious in his seat, blood dripped from where his head hit the dashboard the horn of the car blaring continuously. His head lolled and he groaned. He opened his blood encrusted eye and in the wing mirror he saw the silhouette of a tall man in black. His eye widened. He tryed to move but he was paralyzed, his body was engulfed in a soft dark purple glow. He strained his whole body but nothing came of it. The man grew closer. He looked again at the wingmirror. Finally he screamed "WHAT DO YOU WANT!? PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE" There was only the sound of the hissing engine and the crunch of shoes on gravel. He looked again at the mirror. The man was gone. Suddenly he slumped. The purple glow had dissapeared. He sat back in relief and let out a long sigh. He turned and froze, his spine rigid with fear. The man was staring at him in the passenger seat. Once again the driver slumped but now in defeat. He knew that death was apon him. There was no escape. The man in the back smiled "oh good you've come to terms with your fate. To be honest i was starting to get bored having to chase you in meaningless circles"

The driver grimaced " why have you come for me"

"i dunno, orders from above gave me a task so i completed it. I dont care what you've done but if your name shows up on my list then yer a gonner mate."

"huh" said the driver who was now in a more tranquil state "even with your power you are controlled by others. Thats stupid."

"well it cant be that stupid compared to what yer probably did. I mean they sent me out to take care of ye so you must've fucked up pretty bad."

The driver smiled " yeah i guess your right i did screw up pretty bad." he lay back and sighed. He gently closed his eyes and finally slipped from reality.

The man in black sat forward and prodded him." yup yer dead alright".

He scooched over to the car door and let himself out.

"that was fun" he said. And then dissapeared in a cloud of purple smoke.
