2 Cat-Boy

With Ayami and Akira both holding their weapons waiting for a reason to attack this mysterious feline boy, the boy tries to make himself as threatless as possible, putting down his weapon. What seems to be a nunchuk.

"Hey hey hey! Don't try and do that thing where you try and make yourself look harmless! I'm sure you have something else up your sleeve!" Ayami yells.

"Yeah! what even are you? Where did you come from and why are you here? This forest has been barren for years!" Akira adds

The feline boy then replies with his posh accent "See, I thought this would happen but quite frankly I don't wish to start any trouble."

"What makes us so sure that you're being honest?" Akira says

"Check me." The feline boy says as he raises his arms and widens his legs.

Ayami then extends her scythe and kinda pokes all sides of his body trying not to hurt the boy. "I don't feel anything. Maybe he's clean?" she says as she looks towards Akira.

"You can never be too sure. I still don't trust whatever this thing is." Akira retorts

"Okay, I understand that you don't know who I am but I'd very much appreciate it if you stopped referring to me as a 'thing'. I simply just wanted to talk. If I was looking for trouble do you think I would lay my weapon on the ground, let you check my body and not attack you?" The feline boy sternly replies.

"Maybe we should give him a chance. He's honestly stating the truth right now, we are very much on the defensive and he seems to be nice." Ayami says to Akira

Akira lets out a slight grunt in hesitance to agree with Ayami. "Fine! But if he does one thing I promise you, we're gonna scrap."

"Fine, Fine. No need to be so antsy. Well… there is but still!" Ayami says

Ayami puts her scythe back inside of her holder and looks at Akira. "Put it away."

Akira looks at Ayami and lets out an annoyed motion as he then puts his hammer on the floor.

"Thank you for giving me a chance. Now, my name is Katsumi, I am a… peculiar being something you obviously aren't familiar with considering your reaction a couple minutes ago. You really hurt my neck you know." The feline boy says as he looks towards Ayami."

Both Akira and Ayami look at each other and start to put the pieces together.

"YOU'RE THE CAT?!" Ayami and Akira say in unison.

Katsumi puts his right hand behind his head and lets out a smile "Yeah, that was me."

Akira and Ayami hit him with a flurry of questions

"HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!" Akira asks

"HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN LIKE THIS FOR?!" Ayami Asks

"WHY ARE YOU EVEN IN THE WOODS?!" Akira Asks"HOW DO YOUR CLOTHES COME BACK ON EVEN IF WHEN YOU WERE A CAT YOU WEREN'T WEARING CLOTHES?!" Ayami Asks

Katsumi overwhelmed by the questions holds out his hands signaling a stop motion. "I'm not sure how I do this, it kind of just happens. I've been like this ever since I can remember. I'm in the woods because I like to sit by the lake and look at the stars. The last question though…. Im.. not very sure. It kind of just happens, I've never really thought about it that way."

"BRO, HOW HAVE YOU NOT THOUGHT ABOUT THAT BEFORE?! DON'T YOU FEEL NAKED?!" Akira exclaims

"I mean it doesn't feel like Im naked when I'm a cat." Katsumi replies while a sweat drips down his face." "I think we should stop now, it seems like my dude is getting tense." Ayami says to Akira as Katsumi backs up into a tree.

"Oof, he really was flustered, huh." Akira says in disbelief

"Okay, sorry about bombarding you with questions. Hope you're feelin' okay but we never really introduced ourselves." Ayami says while Katsumi is still slightly dazed from bonking on the tree.

"I'm Ayami and this is my brother Akira. We're Heroes."

"No we're not. We're more like Wanna be's" Akira corrected

"Shut up, we're good enough to be heroes, we're just not heroes heroes y'know?!" Ayami confirmed.

"Well if you're what you say you are what are you doing in a place like this?" Katsumi Asked

Ayami fumbled trying to figure out an excuse, saying "Well… Uhh."

"Yeah as I said, wanna be heroes." Akira said

""Well either way I know somewhere you can be heroes, for a limited price of free education!"

Why does he make it sound like he's selling me an antique? Ayami thought "Wait really?!"

"Of course. I have no reason to lie. There's a school not too far away from here that you guys can attend if you want to become professional heroes." Katsumi said

"I still don't trust it. It's too fishy don't ya think? First we find out that this dude is half cat half human and then realize that he willingly cuddled with you knowing he was an innocent cat and not only that he's now telling us there's a place where we can be heroes. This could be one big trap. He may be trying to lure us somewhere."

"That is true but even if anything pops off we'll be able to body him, no?" Ayami replies

"True true." Akira says

"You guys do know that I'm standing 4 feet away from you right?" Katsumi acknowledged.

Akira and Ayami both proceed to turn their heads at a 90 degree angle to look back at Katsumi.

"Oh what are you talking about? We weren't going to attack you everrrr. I don't even know where you got that from haha…. ha." Ayami nervously says

Katsumi then looks at them with an unamused face. "Yeah, Okay sure. Regardless I was going to have to fight one of you to see your skills.

"WHAT?!" Akira and Ayami both say in unison.

"Yeah it's free education but I don't want you to come to this school with wasted potential." Katsumi quickly responds.

"Well that's a rude way to put it." Ayami says

"So. Who's going to be fighting first?" Katsumi says as Ayami then pushes Akira forward

"Hey!" Akira yells

"So then. We're going to fight, hand to hand, no weapons. I want to see what you can physically do so I know that you don't rely on your weapon." Katsumi states

"Oh word? Now that's something I can do." Akira says as he glares at Ayami.

Ayami pouts her lip and covers her face.

"Alright then good. I've seen that you have fire powers so we should probably go somewhere less cluttered with trees."

They all gather their items and head to a less cluttered area. They come across a very open, barren field.

"Why do you know this place better than we do. You don't even live here." Akira says as Katsumi shrugs his shoulders in response.

Akira then walks back as Katsumi stays where he is. He holds his right hand in front of him and his left hand behind him. Katsumi just stands straight.

"You're not gonna get in a stance or anything? You're just gonna.. Uh… stand there?" Akira asks Katsumi

"Yeah I'm fine. No worries." Katsumi says as Akira then shrugs his shoulders and then positions himself again.

"3!" Ayami yells

"Good luck!" Katsumi says sending a smile towards Akira

"2!"

"I won't need luck. I've been training for pretty long and I don't feel like losing to a cat on steroids right now." Akira replies

"1!"

"Yikes." Katsumi says

"GO!"

Akira then charges towards Katsumi lifting his right hand attempting to throw a punch. He throws the punch but hits the air, noticing that Katsumi, presumably disappeared. Leaving a flash of blue sparks.

"How the-" Akira says before Katsumi comes out of thin air and trips Akira catching him on his way to the ground.

"And you said you didn't need luck." Katsumi laughed.

"AYE! THAT'S NOT FAIR! YOU LITERALLY DISAPPEARED IN THIN AIR! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DO. SMELL YOUR SCENT?!" Akira exclaimed.

"Hahahaha. You want to know how I did it?" Katsumi asked

"Well of course!" Akira Replies

"Just to let you know you won't be able to do this. My power is Lightning. I come with a variety of different things just with my one power. With my power I'm gifted Lightning speed so honestly as it stands now you won't be able to beat me unless I don't use my powers." Katsumi says

"Wow. Just.. Wow. If this is the case, we'll be scrapping all night." Akira claimed.

"Alright Alright. I won't use my lightning abilities this time. We're going to have a clean, fair fight." Katsumi said.

Akira got back in his position as well as Katsumi. Ready for battle Ayumi counted down . "3! 2! 1! GOO!"

Both Akira and Katsumi charge at each other. Akira throws a right punch but Katsumi dodges it and grabs his arm. Katsumi uses the momentum of Akira's punch to flip him over. However, Akira lands on his feet and kicks Katsumi in the stomach.

Katsumi then throws a left punch at Akira but he blocks it by grabbing it with his right hand. Katsumi then sees that his hand was grabbed then knees Akira in the stomach then kicks him over.

Akira uses the momentum from the kick to roll back over after falling on the ground. He lifts his head to see Katsumi charging towards him with a horizontal kick with his right leg. Akira grabs Katsumi's leg and the spins around and tosses him.

Ayumi's cheers could be heard in the dark of the night "Let's go Akira, Let's go *clap* *clap*"

Akira then fakes Katsumi out by making it look like he was going to throw a punch. Katsumi sees this fake out and attempts to block the punch he thinks is coming but Akira then slides under Katsumi and grabs his legs, causing Katsumi to fall down.

Akira gets up and says "See that was light work. Without the lightning you're not that crazy."

"You should really stop talking" Katsumi murmured as he proceeds to punch Akira in the balls causing him to fall over.

Katsumi then stands over Akira's body and says "Next time focus more on the battle then on the trash talk. Sure I was leaning on the edge of losing but you put yourself in a position where I could've brought it back. Which I did."

Ayami then runs up to Akira and says "He's not wrong."

Akira trying hard to get words to come out his mouth he says breathily "Oh shut up. You're hand to hand combat is lacking anyway so you shouldn't be talking about me."

"Hey look but when it comes to me vs you with all of our abilities I'm sure I'd be able to beat you!" Ayami exclaims.

"Well I'd test that with me but-" Katsumi says before getting cut off by Ayami "No buts! I will fight you and beat you. Use your lightning, your weapon, everything!" I'm going to prove myself."

"No really. I have to go now. You forget that I don't live near here." Katsumi confirms

"Oh." Ayami replies

"Well it was nice meeting you!"

"No need for a goodbye like that, If you come back tomorrow I'll be here." Katsumi says

"Then maybe you can prepare us for school since we'd be coming there with 'Wasted potential' otherwise." Ayami states "Yeah. No problem." Katsumi replies

Ayami then picks up Akira and carries him far enough to where he could walk again. They open the back door of their home and are greeted with their grandfathers silhouette.

"Mee Ma?" Their grandfather asks

Both Akira and Ayami are as stiff as can be. They don't know what they could do to not get caught in this very moment.
