56 World Dao

After breakfast Nie Li was free. His friends left for their hunt the day before when he was busy hunting the ghosts. And his meeting with his clansmen was later in the day, so he decided to research the world seed.

He put it into Starlight Crafting Plate, but it was too complicated for him right now. World seed's physical and energy structure was simply incomprehensible. That was understandable because the Starlight Crafting Plate was only an Ancient Divine level artifact. Nie Li doubted that even Godslayer and Sacred level artifacts would have been able to crack its secrets.

Well, it was just a gambit on Nie Li's part. He hadn't expected success from his first attempt to figure out the world seed. He decided to manually inspect it. World seed's red color from yesterday disappeared completely leaving a crystal clear orb.

Through his connection, Nie Li could feel that the internal space was collapsed. There was only a single small spot of space. It was radiating origin yin energy. It looks like the Origin Yin Tree wasn't as dead as he expected. Maybe a small part of it survived. After all, it was there even before Mo Kuang got his hands on the world seed. If it really survived, maybe Nie Li could nurture it back to full size.

Right now the internal space reminded him of his unfinished interspatial rings. The internal space appeared like this before he finished the inscription patterns related to the size and time dilation effects. You knew that there was a space, but its dimensions were close to zero.

So Nie Li decided to experiment a bit. He took out a single 200-gram dimensional stone. He wanted to split up a small piece from it but looking at the size of the world seed he decided to use it all. He had grown five such stones with the resources his clansmen gathered, so he could afford to use one even if it would be wasted.

He embedded inscription patterns necessary to create a storage device and inserted it into the internal space of the world seed. As it was integrated into Nie Li's soul realm he could observe everything happening inside. When dimensional stone entered the internal space it began to flash. Inscription patterns on it briefly glowed brightly and started to spin. Different complicated inscription patterns, that even Nie Li couldn't recognize, appeared around it and also joined the spinning.

There were millions of symbols spinning around the dimensional stone completely covering it in a sphere. It was practically impossible to make out single symbols now. It felt like the world seed was playing with its new toy. Then with a bright flash, the sphere of spinning symbols disappeared leaving behind an intact dimensional stone.

Internal space also began changing. It began to expand. In a couple of seconds, it grew bigger than any storage device he created to this day, a thousand cubic meters, and continued to grow. After reaching the size of ten thousand cubic meters, the expansion started slowing, and finally at about 15 thousand, slowed to a crawl.

As far as Nie Li could tell, it was completely independent of the dimensional stone still located inside the world seed. Nie Li took it out to make sure. The space didn't collapse, continuing slowly expand.

Now it completely replicated the properties of a storage device. It was a formless, empty space with no air and even gravity. Except for a small area of origin yin source, that was separated by a thin dark membrane from the rest of the space and the borders of the space that consisted of chaos sea.

It looks like Nie Li was able to create his own world. But it was even more faulty than Mo Kuang's. It was practically a glorified storage device. A huge one and still growing in size, but still a storage device. No human will survive inside. And it looks like whatever remained from the Origin Yin Tree had its own space protected from the rest of the 'world' Nie Li created.

Still, it was good news. When Nie Li inserted the storage device inside the world scanned and copied its properties. So now it had a flawed, incomplete comprehension of the Dao of Space and Time. And Nie Li could provide it with different objects in the future so that it will slowly comprehend the Dao of World.

But in reality, it was not easy. He couldn't just throw a stone inside and expect the world seed to comprehend the Dao of Stone, Dao of Earth and who knows how many things. There were an unlimited number of Daos in the world and ordinary objects couldn't give a noticeable comprehension of Dao. The only way would be if Nie Li placed an entire world inside the world seed for a scan.

Another more practical way would be to scan artifacts. Powerful artifacts could give a serious Dao comprehension. But it would be highly specialized Dao comprehension that would not solve the problem entirely. The good thing was that the energy wasn't a problem. As a real world, it had access to the universal energy flow. Though it wasn't soul force or even heavenly energy. It was more primal, less structured. But it was not a problem. The only thing left was to teach it how to become a world.

To check his theory Nie Li took out a small ordinary stone and placed it inside. Again the stone was scanned and several stones started to appear. Yes, the world could materialize things. But that was a given. Every real and subsidiary world could do that. To create a matter was their main purpose after all. But Nie Li's world didn't know what to do with the new pebbles it created so they simply floated in space. It didn't know what gravity was. And not only gravity, but many other forces were still alien to this world

Still, he could feel that there were some changes in the environment of his world. It looks like it comprehended something from that stone. Nie Li took out the first stone and inserted another exactly like it. This time the scan was brief. The world already knew most of the things from the first pebble. Nie Li took out the second stone and added the third one. The scan was even more lackluster. But it looks like the world still learned something from it. Well, there were no two exact same stones in the world. As if to prove his point when he inserted the first pebble back into the world there was no scan.

Nie Li sighed. He had to find another way. At least he could use it to gather resources. Small dimensional stones began appearing amongst ordinary pebbles. Maybe because they were more energy-demanding, or for some other reason they appeared only now.

Creating a subsidiary world would have been easier. It inherited the Dao comprehension of its parent, so the creator just had to tweak only some small settings. Like strengthening the power of some Dao and lowering another. For example, in the Flame realm, all fire-related Daos would be strengthened at the cost of others. The rules of the parent world would stabilize the physical laws of the world. Of course, without the existence of the world seed, the creator must be at least Heavenly Fate realm.

But Nie Li's world was a completely independent real world. It had no parent world to inherit physical laws from. If he could scan some subsidiary world it would have solved most of his problems. Although even subsidiary worlds were too big and not some physical objects to carry around. All the entrances to them were just portals. Except for Myriad Miles Rivers and Mountains Painting. Only if Nie Li could get his hands on that artifact right now! But alas, it was out of his reach now.

Well, there was no point in needlessly fantasizing. Nie Li decided to scan all of his artifacts. He decided to start with the page of the Temporal Demon Spirit Book. It was the most powerful artifact in his hands right now. The scanning process was impressive. There were trillions of symbols and it took almost a minute. But the results were even better. A number of space-time anomalies appeared and the pebbles started to randomly teleport. Some of them aged quickly, crumbled, and were restored again. It was a beautiful but scary scene.

Nie Li controlled everything in his world so he stopped those anomalies easily. Even though Nie Li didn't comprehend the Dao of Space and Time, he now could teleport, accelerate or slow the flow of time inside his world. But that was only in theory. He wouldn't survive a minute inside his world right now. It was still uninhabitable.

So Nie Li started to scan everything he had. From the Starlight Crafting Plate to his armors and weapons. All of them gave something to the world. At one point he became annoyed and dumped all of his things from his interspatial ring into his world, and immediately regretted it. There was a literal storm. Icebergs, firestorms, lightning, and anything he could imagine. There were many demon crystals with different attributes, demon spirit crystals with demon spirits inside, and many other things like his cell phones. During the chaos, some of the demon spirits escaped and added more to the chaos. Fortunately, he scanned his most valuable things earlier and they weren't inside.

Nie Li with his newly gained control of space and time inside his realm froze the time. He had to capture every single item one by one and stop the anomalies, taking control of them. It had taken him half an hour to clear his world. He had never thought that he had so many things inside his interspatial ring

When he imprisoned the last demon spirit inside its crystal he decided to go over his losses. Some of the valuable materials were ruined, not being able to withstand the physical anomalies and several bronze rank demon spirits perished.

His stunt would have cost him at least a couple of millions if he wasn't uncommonly lucky. He will be able to recover part of his losses with Starlight Crafting Plate. And, his world already started creating the copies of the things it scanned. So he will be in the plus anyway. The only thing it could not create yet was demon spirits.

And his world didn't remind a storage space of an interspatial ring anymore. It still didn't have any gravity and air but at least had light from some bright anomalies that Nie Li decided not to extinguish.

Origin Yin Tree's remnant also opened its cocoon. Inside was a small black root that was absorbing the neutral energy from the world and releasing Pure Yin Energy. It was a small amount, but it confirmed the fact that the root was alive.

The world's energy also wasn't as primal as before. The world was slowly converting into heavenly energy. It was more structured and convenient to use. So after scanning the Heavenly Energy Crystal the world decided to accept it as a primary type of energy.

It also confirmed the fact that this world really wasn't inside the Tiny World. And provided a way to bypass its limits on cultivation. But it was a thought for another day. He has to make his world habitable first. He decided to end his experiments for the day. He had a meeting with his clansmen in two hours.
