3 Research and hindsight

Stepping outside his home, Shen Yue relied on his previous memories walking quickly avoiding servant's and family members when possible. It was not time to play around he needed to do research in depth about this world. So he wanted get a few library books to help build his foundation. Luckily past Shen Yue never cultivated and was only consuming herbs for now else he wouldn't be able to choose a better cultivation method. Besides if he really did so then it would be suspicious since the original Shen Yue was a bit cold and aloof he wouldn't normally bother the servant's and only wanted to train his martial arts.

Arriving at the front gates of the pavilion Shen Yue entered quietly; although, it was technically Shen Yue's first time inside the library he knew the rules of conduct of the library. Keeping the apathetic look on his face he first greeted the elder who was overlooking the family library silently, keeping his voice low he asked his question.

"Excuse me if I may, but where could I find basic books on regarding medicine, inscriptions, cultivation?"

"Well second young master you can find basic books on the first floor, and because you are the second young master then you can visit the second floor.If you don't know the third floor is off limits unless you are a cultivator of silver rank or higher but you are an exception and just need to be bronze rank."

"Thank you." Said Shen Yue replying cold but respectful tone and walked around the library looking for the books he wanted.

Browsing through the medical books he found two. One was named The basics of medicine and a list of herbs. Another was called Basics of the human body.

He then went on browse through the other shelves and found the rest of the books they were the Foundation of inscriptions, Foundations of Cultivation, Basic movement technique, Sacred boxing method, and Basic sword method.

Sadly he could not find cultivation methods but it made sense considering the rarity of cultivation manuals. It was not like a sect with hundreds or thousands of them. These manuals could be the very foundation of the Sacred family's power and status.

Picking up his books he exited the library with the books and headed back to his house.He did the same as previously, avoiding servants and family until he arrived at his home. Opening the door he headed to his private study that was never previously used and laid down his books on the table.

"The foundation is the most important thing to a cultivator next to talent in my opinion in-order to avoid dying from qi devastation or bottlenecks. Having a better foundation will make controlling energy easier and I will last longer in battle.That being said it's best to study the body first since its the foundation of my cultivation foundation." After talking to himself out of habit, Shen Yue opened the book he had on the human body.

The introduction was "The body has 5 fundamental substances ,5 elemental organs, and use the meridians and is where pathways between the 5 elements connect to each-other. Jing-lo follows yin and yang dividing each of the meridians into yin & yang.

There are the 12 major meridians,the 8 extraordinary meridians, and the 12 Divergent meridians." Shen Yue using his better memory and focus thanks to his reincarnation, and talents memorized the book from beginning to end.

Finishing up that book he moved on to read the rest in this order: Fundamentals to cultivation,Foundation of inscriptions, Sacred boxing method, Basic movement technique and Basic sword technique.

Shen Yue put the books into a neat pile near on the table he will return them in 4 days to keep other from realizing Shen Yue's intellect somehow drastically improved too quickly.

Looking back at the previous Shen Yue's memories he was never tested for his soul realm but his brother Shen Fei was tested at age 11 with a green soul realm.

The problem for Shen Yue is that with his new talent he would be a target not only of the dark guild, but the snow wind family and his own sacred family due to Shen Fei being the future patriarch;so by age eleven he needs means of hiding his soul realm.

knock knock knock

The door was knocked on three times impatiently and Shen Yue had a gut feeling it was someone this body knew well.

"You may enter."Replied Shen Yue with a toned down apathetic voice.

The door slid open to reveal Shen Xiu; she had a tall figure, was wearing a lavender dress that wrapped tightly against her body, giving an emphasis of her perky chest. She had a pair of slender, white legs, and wore exquisite make-up that made her look beautiful and elegant. Her eyes were full of pride, arrogance,worry,anger, and care. Shen Xiu observed Shen Yue who looked fine but there as a tinge of worry on her brow but she quickly disguised it as mock anger.

"Why didn't you inform me when you woke up do you know how much trouble I went through to get to you? When I came to check up on you there was no one there not even a maid. It wasn't until I asked around for awhile that I found out you visited the library.

When I got there you were gone again and I had to come back here and find you in your old dusty study. When will you ever learn to inform me about things like this or at least wait until I come back."

Shen Yue was in a bit of a corner here, he just got done reading a book and now he had to deal with this situation for failing to take account their relationship more.

"It looks like she cared more then what Shen Yue thought , I must handle this carefully or me not being the original Shen Yue will come to light and then I will be question by this mother hen cultivator maybe tortured." Thought Shen Yue

Shen Yue would never be afraid of her even less the original Shen Yue, it would be a bit harder but since he fused instead of devouring the soul he had a high chance of fooling her.

Nerveless he won't be a henpecked male so he won't let this one slide otherwise she would do more of this in the future. It was a first for her to act like this in the first place so it would not be strange if Shen Yue did not respond completely normal.

"I still need to show respect when responding along with proper recognition of what she says are my faults. But I need to ensure she won't lash out like this in mock anger." Shen Yue finished thinking of a response an adding a bit of a depressed and semi cold tone replied back.
