Chapter 9

-POV Max

It's been three years since I arrived here in the kingdom of Elenoir and time passed surprisingly fast when all you do is tran.

As I was deep in through I heard shouting from the next room over were Arthur was staying "STOP! I GIVE, I GIVE!!!"

This was a very common occurrence because Art had a habit of sleeping in.

When I got dressed and l left my room I bumped into Art

"Hey Art, sleeping in again" I said to him in a playful way.

"I don't even want to think about that" he answered mildly annoyed. And started walking toward the training ground.

"So this is the day you can complete your assimilation with your best will" I asked him.

"Yes it is, I can't wait till I can start purifying my core" he said in a way that you could tell he was excited.

And then he looked at me and asked "talking about cores, what stage are you at now?"

"I'm solid yellow with cracks." I answered truthfully.

He looked at me in amazement not saying a word.

I looked at him smugly an said "I know I'm the best"

"You might be.." He said in a quiet voice.

As we got to the training ground we saw Tess and Virion sitting at a table talking.

When we got close they saw us and stud up from there cheers and started walking towards,Tess rushed to Arthur and started to have a conversation.

A we started to get ready for the assimilation Vriron told us to get back and we did.

I was getting ready for the shock wave Virion said get ready an in a instant a big explosion happened and I quickly covered but because I was not reinforcing my body with mana we still got pushed back a bit.

As the dust started to settle I saw Arthur laying on the ground, we quickly ran up to him to check if he is alright.

"Are you okay?" Tess questioned

"I-I'm fine" he said

Virion then looked at him curiously and said " I know you have your reasons for not telling me till now, but what beast did you get your will from?"

"She was a Dragon" Arthur said hesitantly

Virion looked in shock and said " Dragon!" In astonishment.

Just as Virion was freaking out me and Tess both noticed that Arthur had passed out.

- A couple hours later.

-POV Arthur

As I awoke I looked up at my said were I saw virion sitting on and Max standing behind him.

"How are you feeling?" Virion questioned

"I should Be asking you that question, the last thing I remember was you freaking out about me being a dragon tamer." I said sarcastically.

Virion quickly cough in embarrassment " I've uh, calmed down."

"Good I can ask you guys to keep it a secret, even after I leave."

"of course" Max said matter-of-factly. It was weird because he is almost never this quiet, almost like he has something heavy weighing down on his shoulders.

As I look at Virion to get his acknowledgement he nodded quietly before saying" the date that you are set to depart is four months from now." He said

I was shocked I thought that I was going to be leaving for the next two years. I quickly got out of bed and said excitedly "Are you serious! I thought that I was not going to leave for the next two years."

He then looked at me and said" there's a tournament between the three kingdoms youths. So the teleport gate are opening early."

Before I could ask anymore questions he stud up and wailed towards the door and said before leaving " I think Max has something to ask you "

I then looked at Max for a moment I noticed that he was really nervous. I the said to him "so what up?"

He the looked a me for a moment I felt like he was going to say something important but what come out of his mouth stomped me "can I come to xyrus with you?" I looked at him confused 'I thought he was coming with me already? Didn't we talk about being adventurous when we left.' I then looked at him and said "I thought that you were already going to come with me?" He then smiled and said "then we will go together" before leaving the room.

(AN i now it might seem trivial to ask someone if they can go somewhere with them but Max died at the age of 12 so he had trouble socialising with people who mentally much older. Also next chapter he will be getting a bond try to guess which character it is ( clue it from anime). Thank for reading)
