Chapter 1.

The Beginning.

____________________________________________________________________________________________

Eyes fluttered open, a view that could only be described as pure beauty and perfection... Nothing seemed to be wrong in this... Nirvana of a haven. The vibe this place gave off filled me with a feeling of ease, and comfort. Causing me to involuntarily let my guard down. Sitting up, I continue to scrutinize the new area I resided from the floor.

'...Just what happened? A king as strong as me... Died? How?' I questioned, my eye brows furrowing as my thoughts raced trying to figure out a plausible explanation. No matter how much I thought, I just couldn't seem to come to a satisfying event.

My thoughts continued to linger until a single thought flashed through my mind.

'... Betrayal?' I questioned. This felt like it was the only plausible explanation to be honest. While I was a great warrior, I wasn't so much a great King. Meaning that my people most definitely suffered throughout my rule, I didn't understand politics nor governing.

Which brought to the single question I always asked myself throughout the time I was alive...

'... Why was I a King in the first place? What qualifications did I wield?'

But no matter how many times I asked myself this, I couldn't find the answer. Now that I'm dead, I doubt I'll ever find out.

Sighing, I stood up, dusting off my... 'Soul?' My eyebrows cocked upwards as I inspected my golden appearance, I looked like a ghost in a video game that would trade with you or something... Thats the only thing I could think of right now.

*BOOM

The sound of something giant and heavy hitting the earthen ground rumbled throughout the area, causing me to snap to my guard and cock my head to the right, looking in the direction of the origin of the sound. But the thing that I saw caused me to lose focus for just a second...

It was a wheel, a wheel that was as big as the moon itself almost... It was huge, I could barely see the top of it. Just looking at it gave me a feeling of uneasiness and be filled with an uncomfortable feeling.

Holding back the urge to gulp, I stood my guard and eyed my surroundings carefully, not taking my eyes off the wheel in front of me... Though it would serve impossible to even lose sight of it considering its size.

*VROOM

I jumped backwards, startled at the sight of a normal sized lever appearing magically out of the ground. This wasn't that surprising considering the fact that there was magic like this on my world as well.

An awkward smile fixed itself upon my face as I relaxed my guard and inspected the lever carefully, trying to see if it had anything to do with the giant wheel that still has yet to spin. Though, I did notice that it now has a number 'two' on it. Probably indicating how many times I can spin. Piecing the two together wasn't that hard, after all, a lever magically appearing Infront of a wheel seems a little to coincidental for me not to understand what I'm meant to do.

'... Guess there's nothing wrong with this... Could've been worse.' I mused jokingly, relaxing with a sigh as I reached out towards the lever to pull. Once my hand landed upon it, I pulled with all my strength in the one arm I used.

The giant wheel spun at speeds unproportionate to the strength I used to pull the lever, proving just how mystical this place is.

I watched the wheel spin, once it started slowing down, I was somewhat able to make out what things were listed on the different sections of the wheel. Starting with this thing named 'Haki' another one being 'ki.' I understood what that was because that was one of the many terms that were used back on my own earth to describe the energy within oneself.

'... These are... interesting.'

*DING

{Karma! - The mark of a God claiming his new vessel. However, this version includes boosts to physical and magical capabilities greatly, as well as additional abilities.}

{Please spin once more!}

A transparent screen appeared in front of my face, catching me off guard a bit. My eyes widened as I reached out towards the screen and tried to touch it, but my attempts to make contact with the unique magic proved useless as my fingers just passed through it.

'... Just what the hell is this place? Crazy magic and giant wheels falling from heaven...' Shaking my head, I continued on with the instructions the screen gave, pulling the lever once more, watching the wheel spin... The same clicking noises as the wheel passes by all the potential choices.

*DING

{Energy Manipulation! - The ability to control all types of energy within the world to an incredible degree.}

Reading the description of the two things I've gotten from the wheel; I was left speechless. Energy manipulation... If something like this existed on my earth, then that person would undoubtedly become one of the strongest mages in all of existence.

One thing, however, confused me.

'... Karma... A marking of a God... What would I do have another God who can give these marks finds me?' My emotions started to run wild thinking of the possibility of fighting beings such as Gods, but that would have to be in the far future... Hopefully.

Just as I finished calming myself down, the transparent screen that had made its appearance more than once, popped up once more.

{Congratulations on your chance with the wheel of Luck. Your now eligible for reincarnation, the process will start within the next three seconds. Please sit tight!}

A timer of three seconds appeared on the top right of the screen, leaving me no chance to fully take in what the screen had said. Once I had digested the information, the timer had run out. Forcing me into the realm of darkness once more, reminding me of the same moment I had mysteriously died...

It was a bit rushed towards the middle of the chapter, I apologize.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
