Pain shot through me as I grabbed my shoulder as fresh blood came from the bullet hole. I continue to run through the alleys, pointing my gun at every corner I took to make sure they weren't in front of me and shoot me again. I finally made it to the back door of Chang's Restaurant, before I open the door I hear gun shots from a distance. "Guess they found someone else to shoot at." I open the door and it led me straight to the kitchen, "Here." I look up to see Jian who was handing me a small hand towel. "Aw Jian, I didn't know you cared." He then raised and eyebrow, "I don't want you spilling blood in my kitchen." I rolled my eyes and took the hand towel from him and walked off. I move through the staff toward the front of the restaurant and made my way to the stairs where the rooms were. Ignoring the whispering and looks, I make my way to my room and once I get there my neighbor walks out and sees me. "Great." she gasps and then starts yelling at me in a foreign language, probably cursing that I'm probably the reason why her kids get nightmares or something. I get in my room, slamming the door at her face and locking it, and make my way to the bathroom. I take out my first-aid kit and a clean towel, I place the blood stained towel on the counter and make the hole on my shirt bigger. I rinse my left hand and pore some rubbing alcohol on it, with my right I grab the clean towel and put it in my mouth. My breathing quickens as my hand gets closer to the wound, I stop and close my eyes. 'one....two....three' I counted and finally opened my eyes and dug my fingers in, I bit down on the towel and screamed bloody murder as I looked for the bullet. I leaned forward and felt the bullet move but not enough for me to grab, I shove my fingers deeper making me scream in agony and after what felt like hours of pain I finally took the bullet out and put it on the stained towel. I pulled the towel out of my mouth and rinsed my hand and cleaned my wound. I put a gauze on it and taped it before taking my shirt off, feeling dizzy as I threw my shirt and the towel away and made my way out of the bathroom to hear banging on the door. "Alex! open the door!!" I unlock it and open it not caring that I'm in my sports bra, I look up to see Chang who is 6'0 almost 6'1 and looks similar to a silver back because of how big he is. "Jesus you look like hell." I couldn't answer because by the time my mouth opened I felt overwhelmed with dizziness and my vision started to go dark. The last thing I remember was Chang yelling out my name as he lunged at me.

"I told you ma'am, you can't go in unless you are a family member." said the nurse as she put herself between me and the room. "And I told you that I am his daughter! now get out of my way!" I pushed past her and when I entered I saw my father in his hospital bed with my mother sitting next to him, her head on the bed crying. "Dad? how are you feeling?" He didn't respond which made me worry, I began to shake him but was stopped by my mother. I looked up at her and was horrified by her face, her eyes were missing and her horrifying smile was so big that the corners almost touched her eyes. "Don't worry honey, he is enjoying himself now." I look back down and almost screamed at how he looked, his eyes were also missing and the corners of his mouth were cut to make it seem like he was smiling. I look back up to see her injecting some liquid in his IV, "We should share this one, we're family after all." she injected herself and then looked at me. "Nurse! somebody help!!" I turn but was stopped as someone grabbed my arm, I look down to see my dad's cold hand on me and when I looked at him he lunged at me. "Wake up."

I woke up to a cold sweat and quickly sat up, quickly regretting it as pain pulsed through me. "Ugh..... Damn it." I looked up and noticed that I was in my room and not a hospital, thankfully. I got out of bed and like a large wave my memories came back and remembered Chang being at my door. "He probably put me here." He is probably going to have a cow and Jian is going to back him up like the good little boy he is. I go to my closet and grab a crop top and put it on, making sure to be careful with my arm. I grab my keys and leave my room, locking it and going downstairs. "Well look who woke up." I look up to see Chang giving a woman her change and Jian working the other register not even wanting to look at me. "Morning to you too." I then noticed Chang's famous rice noodle stew on the bar table and it was calling me to eat it but it was moved away from me. "Take out the garbage first." I huffed and went to the back of the kitchen and tried to grab the bag with my left hand but to no avail. Jian then walked over and took it out for me and tied it, "Thanks." I said as I grabbed the bag and threw it over my shoulder and opened the door with my right. As I got out and dumped the trash in the dumpster, I turn and was shocked as I saw legs sticking out under empty boxes. I slowly make my way over and take the boxes off only to see a guy about my age maybe older? "Hey! you dead?" I said as I kicked his leg a little, he didn't respond so I grabbed a chopstick from the floor and was about to poke his side until he grabbed my arm. "Ow ow!! My shoulder!" I got to my knees not wanting to hurt myself even more by pulling away. "Help me." I was shocked by what he said, he finally let go as he passed out. I got up and quickly ran in the restaurant and almost running into Jian. "Don't be running in here, you can break something." I ignored his coldness and pulled him to the door. "Hurry I think he is almost dead." he didn't say anything and when we got there he quickly gave me the trays that he was holding and looked the man over. "Keep the door open I'm taking him inside."
