[Volume 1] Chapter 17- Will you marry me?

"Aunt Su tried to stop Madam Feng but wasn't successful. She looked at Jiho and glared at her.

"Fine, if I take her money, then tell me, what proof do you have, huh?" Aunt Su's words made people realize that Jiho hadn't shown any proof of what she claimed. Suddenly, everyone's attention turned towards Jiho.

"Okay, what I am saying is a lie that I made up."

Hearing Jiho's words, villagers were shocked while Aunt Su smiled.

' I know it how can this damn girl ..'

"See? Before she can continue, Jiho's face formed a smile that made Aunt Su shudder.

"Yes, she can marry anyone. So why does she need to marry Jin..." A mer started whispering but stopped midway, seeing Jiho glare.

Even though he stopped midway, everyone also silently agreed Jiho was not only a scholar but also one of the best scholars in nearby villages. Many beautiful mers wanted to marry her, while Su family mers were called jinxes for their bad luck, and none of them was beautiful enough to marry as a husband of a poor person, let alone a scholar.

"I love you," as Jiho knelt and looked at the mers who were equally shocked as villagers. Ignoring their expressions, Jiho continued.

"The first time I saw you guys today, I fell in love with you. I love how much you care about each other. I love how you protect each other. I always thought, 'Can there be someone who I can really love?' But when I saw you guys, I thought... I can spend my whole life with them. Will you give me a chance?" As Jiho looked at them and raised her hand.

Seeing this scene, people were shocked, and young mers started blushing. This is the first time they saw such an open love confession, which made married mers look at their partners.

'Humo... learn something,' catching their husbands' glares, they lowered their heads in embarrassment.

"I..." Su brothers looked at each other and then nodded. Finally, they looked at Jiho in unison.

"We do."

Someone started to clap, soon more people followed.
