Chapter Two

"You're a special case means, there are other players like you that got transferred into this world with all their stuff, or almost all of it. Including their stats and skills. They are supposedly strongest than any players that got here with only 30% of their progress." Mikey explained to Erebus while the three was heading back towards the village.

The whole elf NPC group with them were just following them.

"A few months ago a player that got transferred here with her 80% progress had gone mad and was influenced by the power she has, and started massacring everything she could. Her killing spree went on for about 2 weeks, and by then 7 villages were plundered and a town was destroyed." This time Luna was the one telling him the story.

"After two weeks suddenly she stopped her killing spree and disappeared. We don't know where she is now and what she's going to do next, but what we do know is we're prepared for her when she starts again."

Erebus just listened and said nothing. After hearing those stories, he had to ask himself, would be become just like that? Would he be thirsty for blood and kill everyone he sees? That person killed a lot of innocent people, and she got away with it. Erebus then finally made up his mind.

"When the time comes, I want to punish her for what she had done." He said.

Mikey grinned. "I was hoping you'd said that, because you're the only one I've seen that probably could fight her."

When they arrived at the village, the group was greeted by an elf maid.

"Welcome back, Mikey and Luna." She greeted.

"Thanks Clara. Oh here. Erebus this is Clara, the maid at the bar." Mikey said.

Clara slightly bowed down to Erebus, but he didn't like it. In his original world, he only bows down to the elderly, and yet this elf is bowing down to him, who is probably might be younger than him.

"No need to bow down to me." He said.

Clara was dumbfounded.

"Why? In this world you bow down to people who are stronger than yourself. I can sense your overwhelming power even when you're not even here yet."

The three immediately had a surprised look, Luna and Mikey having their mouth open.

"You can sense his power, Clara?" Mikey questioned. He found it hard to believe.

She nodded. He groaned.

"We elves have some aptitude for magic ever since we were kids. We can sense who's strong and who is not." She explained.

"Wait, so can Luna...." Erebus words trailed off.

"I already know how strong you were when you came by." She said.

"Huh."

The group went straight to the chief's house to report what happened during the hunt. To Erebus' surprise, the chief doesn't look too old. He looks just like a 50 year old man, but when he asked for the chief's actual age, which is 300, his mind almost short-circuited.

"So this is the man who saved you?" He asked Mikey.

"Yes. He killed the golem in one strike. He's probably stronger than 'her'." Mikey replied.

The chief nodded a few times while rubbing his chin. He then looked at Erebus' eyes.

"A nearby city not far from here created a team that has strong individuals. Warriors, assassins, mages, everything you could think of. They were tasked to bring down the bloodthirsty woman that annihilated the villages. There were a total of 7 members. All of them died except one. A paladin. She faked her death infront of the 'killer', laying down amongst the dead bodies of her comrades. She described the 'killer' as cold, relentless, quick-witted and evil."

Erebus quickly asked "What happened to her now?"

"Disappeared. The last time people saw her was at a temple, paying respects to God for sparing her life, and she said she was headed to a secluded port town."

Erebus sighed deeply. He wanted to meet the Paladin, but looks like he's not able to.

"Then who was the one that organized the team?" He asked.

The chief grinned.

"You're a smart young man. It was the Guild Leader of the One City. He was the one who organized the team and gave the task. After that event, he hid himself because of guilt and didn't come out to meet anybody."

"Then I'm meeting with him so I could find something about this female killer or whatever she is."

Erebus' face is unfathomable, his heart shrouded in darkness. Everything felt wrong about this. He wasn't the one to talk about serving justice, but killing innocent people is just wrong. It had reminded him of the times when famous leaders doing mass genocide. In his mind, this is just, wrong.

He thanked the chief and everybody else then walked out of the chief's house. Mikey and Luna followed him.

"Where are you going?" Luna asked.

I looked over my shoulder, looking at Luna.

"To find the Guild Leader. I don't need supplies. We all have our inventories." Erebus said before completely vanishing.

*********

Somewhere, in a faraway town, a chaos was taking place. Red shadows could be seen consuming the life of the town's inhabitants, no matter if they are a child, a parent, or a woman even. The shadows consumed everyone. In the midst of the chaos, a woman could be seen standing in the middle of it, smiling.

"Everyone will come to fear my wrath...."

She saw a man who survived her attack running away. She quickly unsheathed her sword and dashed forward to the poor man in the blink of an eye.

A moment later her sword could be seen protruding from the man's chest. She pulled her sword and the man dropped to the ground, lifeless.

"Who's next?"
