Chapter 2

Sehun arrived at his palace and sighed as he leaned back to look at his house, his empty, cold house. He glanced in the back mirror and caught sight of a body lying in his car. Who the fu- His eyes widen as he noticed the familiar figure. He is screwed. He got out of his car and went to the back seat. She looked to be passed out. Sehun picked up the fair maiden who fit exactly in his arms. Her body, which was trembling, relaxed in his arms as he walked the girl into his palace. What is he going to do? He basically kidnapped the maiden. What is she going to do when she wakes up? Hate him forever? So much for first impressions. He laid her on the bed and pulled his black sheets over her body. Sehun took a moment to stare at her face because she was absolutely stunning. He closed his eyes briefly to think before he went to shower. The stench of nymph was all over him and it was annoying.

As Sehun showered, Joohyun woke up. She whimpered as her head was pounding, but she couldn't recall what had happened before she was unconscious. A shiver went down her back as she began to take in her surroundings. The room was dimly lit, only a slight hue of blue hue and a quite monotonous looking room. The furniture was all minimal but encrusted with precious metals. Whoever lived here must be really rich. Joohyun got up and shivered again. She wasn't quite used to the cold because she always lived in the realm where it was warm or cool, never cold. Fixing herself a bit before she walked out of the room and down the long, cascading stairway. She has never been to a realm so bleak before. A bit guarded, a trail of flowers started to grow as she walked, seeming to light up the rather empty space. As she reached outside, Joohyun saw a beautiful pool that was steaming. It seemed as if the water was warmer than the environment. Joohyun walked forward and dipped her toes into the water. A low growl was heard behind her. She turned quickly, losing her balance and let out a loud scream. Joohyun fell in the water, unable to swim.

Sehun snapped out of his thoughts as he heard the scream. Immediately his eyes glowed red, angered that someone had dared to scare the little maiden. Sehun grabbed his gun and ran downstairs, his finger on the trigger, ready to kill. The scene that Sehun saw was absolutely unexpected.

Joohyun was soaked from head to toe, faced to face with 3 wolves who were trained to kill intruders. Before Sehun could call them down, then the biggest wolf started to run towards her. Without even flinching, Joohyun kneeled down and spread her arms. The wolf halted a few inches from her face, growling before pressing its head against Joohyun's. Sehun sighed in relief as he was about to shoot the wolves if it dared open its mouth. He walked closer to Joohyun who was on the ground cuddling the 3 dogs. "Cerberus. Don't you guys have a gate to guard?" He said as he narrowed his eyes at the 3 wolves. Cerberus growled before they started to merge together, becoming one huge wolf with 3 heads. It ran off immediately back to its station. Joohyun who was on the ground looked up at Sehun and gasped softly. It was him and his voice was so deep.

Sehun looked at the girl who was wet and shivering. He reached down and helped her up. Joohyun gasped at the warmth of his hand and silently followed the male inside, waiting for him to say something. After moments of silence, Joohyun decided to speak. "Hey...I am Irene, but my friends call me Joohyun, so I guess you could call me Joohyun as well!" She said gently as she smiled at the male's back. "Um… you are Hades, right? And this must be the underworld?"

Sehun smirked a bit at the bravery in the girl. Usually, maidens like her only scream in fear and try to escape as soon as possible. "Sehun," He said as he walked to his closet and pulled out a hoodie and boxers for Joohyun to change into. Joohyun stared at his back as a soft smile appeared on her lips. Sehun handed her the clothes and pointed to the door. "You are dripping and the underworld is freezing." He threw a towel into her arms before he walked out to give her some privacy. Sehun sighed as he arrived at the kitchen. He was hungry, but the fridge was awfully bare and he didn't feel like cooking anyway. He glanced at the stairs and realized that Joohyun might be hungry as well.

Joohyun finished changing and started to dry her long black hair as she walked down the stairs. She hummed as she saw Sehun staring at his cabinet. "Sehun? What are you doing?" The girl skipped towards the male and looked at the almost bare cabinet. She started to frown as she only saw ramen and various alcohols.

"Are you hungry?" Sehun asked as he turned to the girl, reaches over and starts to dry her hair. Joohyun stared up at the male and nodded her head. Sehun walked her over to the couch and grabbed his phone. Joohyun stopped him before he could dial.

"Sehun? Could we go grocery shopping instead? It seems you don't eat home often. How about I cook us dinner? It is the least I could do when you have treated me so well, despite me being a stowaway." She went on her tippy toes to stare at him directly in the eyes. Sehun smiled briefly and ruffled her hair.

"Okay fine, but you need something to wear. Also, do you need to contact anyone? I can drop you on Olympus after we eat," Sehun said as he texted his assistant to bring over some warm clothes for the goddess. Joohyun gasped as she remembered about Seulgi and Moonbyul who are probably freaking out. She placed her hands out for his phone. A low chuckle escaped Sehun's lips before he placed the phone in her hand. "Call away, little one."

Joohyun waddled away from Sehun who went to change. She went to contacts and searched for a familiar name. When she saw it, she called. After 1 ring, the other person picked up. "What the fuck do you want Sehun?" A soft gasp escaped Joohyun's lips.

"Hey… This is not Sehun. Um… is Seulgi there?" She said softly and twiddled with her shirt. Kyungsoo's eyes went wide as he has never heard of Sehun having a girl. Stunned, he turned his phone over to Seulgi who was going crazy in the living room with Moonbyul and Mark.

"Hello? Who is this?"

"SEULBEAR!" Joohyun squealed as she heard the voice of her friend. "Hey… So-"

"BAE JOOHYUN! BY ZEUS WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? DO YOU REALIZE THAT BYUL AND MARK AND I HAVE BEEN GOING CRAZY?" Seulgi screamed back into the phone as she growled. Joohyun whimpered softly as she listened to Seulgi's words, feeling really guilty. "Hang up and call me by Iris."

Joohyun let out a soft, defeated sigh. She waddled to Sehun's room and knocked. "Sehun… do you have an Iris? Seulgi wants to call." Sehun looked at the girl and picked up the phone. He logged into this Iris and called Kyungsoo again since that was the last number Joohyun dialed. He handed it back to Joohyun before going to grab her clothes from his assistant. Joohyun sat on Sehun's bed and waited nervously as Seulgi answered. Immediately, she saw all three waiting for her.

"Joohyun where have you been? Why are you using Sehun's phone?" Mark asked immediately. He has never liked Sehun because of Sehun was notorious for being an ass. Moonbyul stayed silent as she observed the surroundings and what Joohyun was wearing. It seemed the girl had recently changed because her hair was still damp.

"Hyun… are you in the underworld?" She said softly and stepped closer to the screen. Joohyun let out a sheepish smile and nodded.

"I woke up in Sehun's room. He said that he found me in his car when he came back. We are going to eat and then he said he would drop me off! Don't worry too much, guys. Sehun is really nice to me. He even has the cutest pup!" She said as she hummed quietly. Mark's jaw dropped as he watched the girl, in one of the most dangerous places in the worlds, being calm and so carefree. Seulgi narrowed her eyes briefly before nodding her head.

"Fine but if he hurts you, I am cutting off his dick. Tell him we want him to drop you back before afternoon tomorrow. I am going to bed," Moonbyul mumbled before she left the scene. Joohyun let out a soft giggle and waved. Seulgi wanted to say another word, but Sehun came through the door and stood behind Joohyun with clothes.

"Joohyun. Let's go." Joohyun smiled and waved at the 3 who were left on the camera. Kyungsoo smirked at Sehun before he hung up the phone. Hm was Sehun acting nice just then?

Sehun handed Joohyun 2 outfits so that she could choose what to wear. He then went to grab his wallet and waited downstairs for the maiden to finish changing. Joohyun stared at the clothes that he had picked out for her. There was a white slip dress with some thigh high boots and a black trench coat. The other outfit was a purple hoodie, a black skirt, and a red off the shoulder long sleeve. After a quick moment of thinking, Joohyun grabbed the skirt and started to change. She smiled at how cute she looked in the skirt and red off the shoulder before she covered herself up with the big purple hoodie. A soft mewl escaped her lips as the hoodie smelled so good and was so warm. She slipped on some heeled boots before she ran downstairs to keep Sehun from waiting too long.

As Joohyun descended from the stairs, Sehun looked up and felt his heart clench again. She looked so good in his hoodie and he knew that the color matched her very well. Joohyun had tied her hair up with some twine and flowers, leaving only her bangs to frame her face. "Did I take too long? All the clothes that you chose for me were really pretty. Thank you, Sehun…" She trailed off as she got shy. Sehun reached out, waiting for her hand to be placed in his. Joohyun's eyes lit up as she placed her hand into his and followed him out to the car.

"You look beautiful." Sehun opened the door for Joohyun and let her in. She sat down and squeaked when Sehun helped her put on the seatbelt. The close proximity allowed Sehun's cologne to waft into her nose. Immediately, she recognized the scent because it was the same exact one on the hoodie. That meant that she was wearing his hoodie. She didn't know the God of the Underworld would be interested in such a color. Sehun got into the car, started it, and drove to the nearest grocery store. Joohyun stared out at all the night lights since the realm doesn't get any sunlight. She glanced at Sehun and ended up staring because he looked so attractive just driving. Her heart raced as Sehun's eyes met hers. Her cheeks started to flush as she was caught staring. "Cute." Joohyun squeaked and blushed even more at the comment.

After a peaceful silence for about 20 minutes, they arrived and Sehun got out to help Joohyun. Mindless souls wailed as Joohyun was a living, vibrant maiden. Sehun made sure that Joohyun was close to him, holding her hand gently as they went into the store. Some demigods, who lived in the underworld after being unwanted at Olympus, stared at the mighty king was taking care of an innocent doe.

Joohyun clung to Sehun's arm when she felt all the stares. Some naiads from the Cocytus river were angrily staring at her. Sehun grabbed a cart and let her walk next to him as he pushed the cart. "We need some veggies, meat, and… maybe some snacks for your lonely cupboards." Joohyun starts grabbing ingredients to cook a late dinner. She also grabbed some things to fill up the cart. Sehun watched the girl with adoration as she was no longer scared when she had a task to do. His eyes never left her figure for a moment despite his phone buzzing a lot in his pocket.

As they finished, Sehun saw Joohyun calculating the ingredients frugally and gently nudges her head with his finger. "It is okay. I can pay." Joohyun pouted and rubbed her forehead before she held his coat and stepped closer to him. Sehun moved and let Joohyun stand between his arms, between the cart and his chest. Sehun started to put everything on to the conveyor belt and held Joohyun with his other hand. He then checked his phone as Joohyun stood in front. His eyes scanned the news headline and saw:

"King of Underworld with New Muse?"

The article was accompanied by a picture of Sehun carrying Joohyun into his palace from the hours earlier. Sehun growled a bit catching the attention of Joohyun. She took a step closer to him and gently placed her hand on his cheek. "Sehun? What is wrong?" Her concerned eyes looked deep into his. Sehun shook his head and gently pats her head before paying.

"Just some people being idiots and want to feel my wrath. I will teach them a lesson. You don't worry your head with it." Sehun grabbed the bags and walked with Joohyun out and to the car.
