Lucian turned away from the minister he was speaking with to see his cousin and her mate approach him.

Nicole passed through the light crowd with Alexander a few steps behind her. "Cousin, I was expecting to see you with Lady Katherine," Nicole curiously observed Katherine's absence.

"I'm sure Michael is keeping her company," Alexander had seen the both of them step out to the courtyard.

Lucian did not say anything and instead calmly took a sip of the refined blood in his glass. It had been some time since Michael and Katherine left his presence and he was getting more and more impatient.
