11 Can't Share

Eight pairs of eyes stared at her across the dining table.

"What?" She asked her nosy family.

"Details, details. Tell us the details," Shen Liu urged.

Shen Fai placed a drumstick on her plate. "Eat so you have energy to tell us."

"Here, your favorite mango juice." Meng Jia carried in an extra large cup.

Shen Mohua blinked at her family that was shamelessly bribing her. Her suspicious eyes moved to Grandma Shen. "Nainai, not you too..."

'Resist, resist, resist.' She chanted inside her head.

The elder winked and brought out a box of dried fruits. "Look here, our Amo's favorites."

The pieces of dried mangoes looked golden yellow, a delicious scent wafted in the air. Unconsciously, she swallowed her saliva. Mango was her favorite fruit, her biggest weakness.

"Okay, I give in!" Her hands raised in surrender. "One question at a time."

The rest of the Shen family members rejoiced in their victory. They knew her best!

Shen Fai, the person in charge of asking questions, read the first one. "What was your first impression of Ou Junsan?"

She was thoroughly amused by them as she replied shortly, "Cold and scary."

They frowned in worry.

"But handsome and gentle," She added.

They sighed in relief.

Shen Fai asked, "Something you like about him so far?"

Something she liked about Ou Junsan... Shen Mohua smiled brightly, "Everything."

"Details," He reminded.

"Oh," She pouted her lips adorably. "I like... Jun's thoughtfulness. He is a man to be judged not by his appearance or words, but his actions. Sometimes he acts like he doesn't care, when truly, he cares the most. He pays attention to the little details and makes sure to consider my feelings even though we just met."

Shen Liu and Meng Jia's eyes widened. Their daughter already referred to Ou Junsan intimately? The young ones were moving faster than they imagined!

"Then... How do you feel about marrying him?" Shen Fai sneakily added, urging his sister to spill while she was at it.

"The best feeling ever," She grinned dreamily. Falling asleep with him, waking up next to him, spending her time with him... Shen Mohua's smile grew bigger the more she thought of their marriage life together.

Then, something popped in her mind. She looked slowly at her family, "Why did no one tell me Jun prepared our wedding clothes?"

Meng Jia's eyes shone brightly, "Aiya, such a romantic son in law. How could I not cooperate?"

"As soon as Ou Junsan sent questions of your measurements, mom gave it right away!" Shen Fai playfully declared.

Grandma Shen, the nosiest of them all, bluntly asked, "How was it A'mo, was the dress to your liking? Perhaps, you liked the man even more? Aiya, look at those betraying eyes. We can see it in your eyes, you can't lie!"

For the rest of dinner, Shen Mohua's ears were bright red. She ran to her room as soon as she could, escaping from her family's endless teasing.

On the soft bed, she laid on her side. The butterfly pendants twinkled in her hands.

When she saw the butterflies, they were the perfect gifts for herself and Ou Junsan. When they married, she would gift it to him. As husband and wife, it'd be more than fitting to wear couple necklaces...

As she thought of him, she fell asleep into a sweet dream.

---

"How was your date?" Kong Yunru wiggled his eyebrows. "Fun? Exciting? Can't wait to be a married man?"

Ou Junsan calmly ate his food, not the least bothered by his friend. He was used to Kong Yunru's playful behavior.

Ou Junsan was honestly, a tolerant person. He was patient and chill, the best at controlling his emotions.

Kong Yunru annoyingly stuffed himself with chicken. Inside his head, he thought of countless ways to question Ou Junsan. "Did sister in law liked the wedding dress you chose? Did you tell her you spent several sleepless nights going over the best designs?"

Ou Junsan paused. "I didn't ask and didn't tell."

"..." Kong Yunru clicked his tongue disapprovingly, "Ou Junsan, you acted indifferent to the engagement while you secretly prepared all the little details for the wedding. If you didn't tell her, how would she know?"

"No one else needs to know of the efforts I put in except for myself," Ou Junsan quietly muttered. His hard work was for him to know only. Whether someone paid attention enough to know it, it was up to them.

"Aiya, who can read your mind with that blank expression always on your face?"

"What can a blind man do?"

"But you--!" Kong Yunru was forcibly fed a large bun, ending his voice. He bitterly ate the bite of sweet bun before leaning over. "By the way, the third prince has returned to the capital."

Ou Junsan poured himself a cup of tea. "I know."

"Be careful for the next several days. Who knows what troubles he will stir up this time," Kong Yunru complained all the while, his hand silently hovered towards the teapot in the center. His fingertips almost brushed the handle when Ou Junsan slapped his hands away.

Kong Yunru, the culprit, pleaded, "Come on, share some tea with this brother. The way you drink that magnolia tea makes it so delicious. Just a couple drops will do."

Ou Junsan childishly moved the teapot closer to himself. "This is not for sharing."

"Ou Junsan, since when did you become so stingy?!" After eating, Kong Yunru was feeling thirsty. All he asked for was just one cup of tea! Where did his loyal sworn brother disappeared to?

"Get your own," Ou Junsan shrugged indifferently.

Kong Yunru's eyes narrowed. Jun's behavior was suspicious... "Wait a minute, don't tell me, it was sister in law?"

The tips of Ou Junsan's ears reddened. He quickly stood up, "Never mind, you can have it."

'How childish,' Kong Yunru laughed. Jun had been embarrassed at being found out and was now trying to escape.

As Ou Junsan turned to leave, he reached across the table. He was still curious to see how good it was, seeing that Jun had been drinking it for the last couple nights!

Just when he almost touched the teapot, Ou Junsan's hands snatched it away. Kong Yunru stood still with his eyes widened in horror.

Ou Junsan... That scary commander held the flower teapot by his side, refusing to let go. All he said was, "Yun, get yourself a girl. She can buy you tea."

Kong Yunru stared as his friend disappeared inside the house. "How can you rub it like that on your single bro? Ou Junsan, come back here!"

Inside his room, out on the balcony, Ou Junsan sat by himself. As usual, he listened to the bustling sounds of the night with a cup of hot tea by his side. The difference was, there was no jasmine tea.

Tonight, there was only magnolia tea by his side.
