50 Testing Nie Li

On the very same day, Long Xu after all the classes in the Holy Orchid Institute ended. He found Nie Li and his group entering the library.

Shen Xiu was nearby, gazing in Nie Li's direction.

"Stop, Nie Li!" Long Xu spoke loudly. He couldn't allow Nie Li's group to enter the library. Fighting in the library was strictly prohibited and even the Ao Cloud Family wouldn't protect Long Xu at that point.

Nie Li knitted his brows upon hearing that shout. He turned to see Long Xu heading towards him.

As far as Nie Li was concerned, he had nothing to do with Long Xu. He then moved his head and stared in Shen Xiu's direction. He saw a wretched smile on her face.

He was surprised to see Shen Xiu in the Holy Orchid Institute. Considering that she didn't come to teach the Fighter Apprentice Class, it made him wonder what she was doing here. She was standing alone, staring in Nie Li's direction.

After some seconds, Nie Li understood that this was likely Shen Xiu's doing.

Nie Li didn't understand why this woman was targeting him, but since she was attempting it, he had to make her pay.

Meanwhile, Shen Xiu was startled to see that Nie Li was staring at her. She couldn't understand why this brat would stare in her direction.

Did he already figure out that this was Shen Xiu's doing? However, this didn't distress Shen Xiu. She was still quite optimistic about Long Xu.

Once Long Xu was close enough, Nie Li asked him, "What do you want with me?"

"…Come with me," Long Xu spoke. He wanted to take Nie Li and his group to a place that was less conspicuous.

"Why?" Nie Li responded with no intention of moving.

Long Xu frowned slightly as he used his Soul Force to suppress Nie Li and his group, "…Are you sure you won't obey your senior's orders?"

However, unlike what Long Xu thought, Nie Li and his group weren't affected by his Soul Force.

Shen Xiu was startled as she saw Nie Li's group of four remain unaffected by Long Xu's Soul Force.

Meanwhile, Long Xu was getting angry as Nie Li, and his group seemed to be unaffected by his Soul Force.

These students, in his opinion, were not even Bronze Rank Fighters. The fact that he was unable to restrain four brats who were still at the 1-Star Bronze Rank was exceedingly humiliating for him.

"Will you come with me or not?!" Long Xu spoke with a threatening tone.

At that moment, Lu Piao suddenly spoke out, "Are you going to force us to follow you?"

Lu Piao's voice was unusually loud which caught the attention of everyone around them. Long Xu frowned upon noticing the inquiring gaze of everyone around him. He was quite flustered and responded, "No. No. How can you think that? I was just asking you again if you were sure. Since you are, then I will take my leave."

Long Xu quickly left the area and Shen Xiu followed him.

Nie Li noticed Shen Xiu's movements from the corner of his eyes and had a disdainful smile. He was now sure of his guess.

After 6 hours, it was nearly nighttime. Nie Li and his group left the library room and were planning to return to their houses.

While Nie Li was on his way back, he encountered Long Xu. It was very dark, and there was no one in the vicinity.

"You should have come with me earlier," Long Xu spoke while suddenly charging toward Nie Li at a quick speed.

Unfortunately, Long Xu's fastest speed was nothing in Nie Li's eyes. He seemed to be moving in slow motion while pulling out that dagger from his sleeves.

Long Xu infused his body with his entire Soul Force.

Nie Li was a bit surprised that Long Xu would use his entire Soul Force to deal with a brat not even at the 1 Star Bronze Rank, but he retained his calm.

Nie Li utilized his Soul Force and calmly grabbed Long Xu's arm. He raised Long Xu's body by lifting his arm and smashed it against the ground.

Long Xu tried to stand up, but Nie Li suddenly snatched the dagger from him. Nie Li then swiped the dagger at Long Xu several times. His speed was so fast that Long Xu couldn't even see Nie Li's arms.

Soon, Long Xu's entire body was covered with scratches that leaked blood.

"Alright. Now, let's talk about why you targeted me?" Nie Li asked while suddenly standing up and staring at Long Xu. He was twirling the dagger over his fingers while staring at Long Xu's chest.

Long Xu was truly terrified. He instantly responded, "…It was Madam Shen Xiu! She offered me a ten thousand Demon Spirit Coins if I injured you."

"Ten thousand Demon Spirit Coins just to injure me?" Nie Li inquired with a sneer. He then added, "The Sacred Family is spending quite a bit."

"Why did she target me?" Nie Li asked. He wondered why that woman would suddenly target him like that.

Long Xu shook his head and responded, "I-I don't know. She never told me the reason. And I didn't really care at that time."

"…Very well," Nie Li spoke. He dropped the dagger on the ground while adding, "You better not mention anything about this."

Long Xu readily agreed with this deal because informing others of this incident was just publicizing the fact that he was beaten badly by Nie Li, "I promise to never mention it!"

Nie Li seemed satisfied as he walked towards his house.

After Nie Li left, two auras suddenly appeared in the area. These were none other than Alan and Shen Xiu.

"…Now, do you understand what I was talking about? Nie Li isn't simple. You need to keep utmost caution if you ever encounter him," Alan spoke with a warning tone.

Shen Xiu nodded. She sensed the power of a 2 Star Bronze Rank Fighter from Nie Li. It indicated that he had already cultivated to the 2-Star Bronze Rank!

"B-But how could he cultivate to the Bronze Rank so quickly?!"

"The same way I reached the Black Gold Rank," Alan casually answered Shen Xiu's question.

"…" Shen Xiu was left stunned. She then recalled that not just Nie Li, but her nephew was even more of an anomaly beyond her understanding.

Meanwhile, Alan had an enigmatic smile on his face. This attack on Nie Li wasn't just to test him. It was to provoke him into action. And he believed that his plan had worked.
