5 Fragment 4: A Kings Wish

?:" HEY! Watch where you're going boy!"

R:" Sorry..."

?:" What is a human even doing here?!"

L:" He is my guest"

?:" One hermit and 2 humans tyring to get into the royal palace. I'm not trying to lose my job thank you."

L:" You should rather let us in. I'm sure the king wants to see those two."

?:" That is up for your highness to decide."

L:" We can wait."

?:" I suppose. Not like your flowers could run, you outcast."

??:" Don't you dare insult guests of the royal family. Let those two in."

?:" UH.... Yes, of course. Humans you can go."

[Ryu and Cecilia walk past the guard, but as Laquari tries to follow them the guard blocked his path, with his helbard]

?:" The king said 'those two'. That doesn't include you.

??:" By my sword, if you dare to insult my friend again i shall banish you. Laquari is almost family and you know that."

?:" My sincerest apologies i didn't know about him"

??:" Lies are forbidden in this kingdom. And you know that. I suspend you for a week, calm your head."

?:" The guard leaves his duty sire"

[The guard leaves, his fear of being banished is easy to see]

L:" Dragon Gods Claws, Dimakiri. He blocked my path, not commited heresy!"

Dimakiri:" He insulted royal guests and family. I cannot let him off easily, or I lose respect."

L:" That doesn't suit you at all" *laughs*

D:" I know, but it is my duty now. As we are speaking about duty, who are those two?"

L:*Grins*" You're not going to believe this. Those two are the missing draconics. They have no idea about the world aside their own."

D:" What? None?"

L:" Not apart from what i teached them..."

D:" You gave me your task again, am i right?" *sighs*

L:" Yes, of course! You are more suited to explain it to someone that high in rank"*grins wider*

D:" You are my right hand, you are just as suited!"

L:" Now that we are here... There is a better option!"

[They two walk in and join Ryu and Cecilia in a big room. The room was purely out of unrefined wood, which looked like it actually grew like that. There was a big table, with several seats scattered around it. Ryu and Cecilia sat down at a short end, Laquari chooses a long end and Dimakiri sits down at the other short one.]

D:" Well, Laquari didn't tell much about you, do you mind to tell me more about your story?"

R:" Cecilia, this seems to be you job. I can't talk with kings, I'll end up insulting him by accident"

D:" I don't mind. Regard me as a friend."

C:" Well it all started..."

[Cecilia starts telling their story, with every detail she knows and starting from their egg-status. They are all focussed on the story, up to the point that no one notices someone enterring.]

?:" Hey dear, it's late."

D:" Huh?... Oh you're right! It's already dark! You two must be exhausted, I'll get you a room."

C:" Thank you. We were wondering where to sleep anyway."

D:" Don't thank me too early. I have a favor to ask, but that'll have to wait until you are rested. It is not something to take lightly."

[A Maid appears silently and signals them to follow her. Their path leads down a very friendly hallway, decorated very lovingly. Especially if you consider this to be the royal castle. The Maid stops and opens a door for them. They enter and look around]

C:" Wait, isn't there something missing?"*Cecilia turns around, but the Maid already left*

R:" What is it?"

C:" A... A second bed."

R:" Isn't it fine? We slept in one bed a year ago anyway."

C:" No it isn't!"

R:" Is it fine if we build a little wall?"

C:" I suppose that will have to do for now"

[They spend quite some time to build the wall, but they have no trouble to sleep after.]

?:" Hey you two. It's bathtime now. I think you might want to bath before the sick and elderly enter."

R:*Yawns*"Yes, we are coming..."

[Ryu stands up, wakes Cecilia up and seeks for the bathroom. They find it right around the corner and enter. It is a big room, made out of marble and glass. The bathtubs themselves had golden edges and were deep enough to stand in.]

They enter the bath, but against their urge to enjoy it, they hurry. They swim a bit after to wake up entirely. They leave right after and enter the room with the big table again. They see the king sitting there, with his wife(?) and rubbing his hands nervously.

D:" Oh hey you two. I was told I didn't introduce my wife."

?:" Because you didn't"

R." I didn't seem to hear it either."

D:" Well, this is Rubia. She is my wife and my bonded partner. Please treat her well."

C:" We will."

D:" Now... Let's get to the point. I want you to deliver a letter, but beware that the letter contains some pretty risky things. I am not going to tell you anymore, because it would just put you in even more danger."

R:" Wouldn't it be wiser to just deliver it yourself?"

D:" I.... I cannot. Other races are not allowed to enter the dragons domain. That rule is even better enforced if the one in question has a leadership-position."

C:" I'm sure it will be fine, but who is it for?"

Ru:" It's my cousin, she will let you know that it's her."

R:" Fine, we will."

D:" Let me give you a last bit of assistance. We will get you to the Negg-Territorys border with a pegariel. We will leave this evening, enjoy your stay here until then"

[Ryu and Cecilia go and explore the Castle and the City-Market. They buy a few souvenirs and something to eat, as a Maid came looking for them]

?:" We are now ready to depart."
