5 Cultivation Technique

"In my previous life, I used to practise the Body of Poison as a Fighter. It wasn't until I gained the Phantom Steps that I became a Demon Spiritualist. But now, I can make a choice."

"For a formless non-attributed Soul Realm like mine, there are really only 3 choices. Heavenly God, War God and Void God."

"The Heavenly God, a technique very difficult to practice and profound. Not my kind, I'm not some sort of talent."

"The War God, a technique for madlad focused on killing every being. Powerful indeed, but just not my type. I was never someone who liked to fight."

"The Void God…The Void God. This seems like the perfect match."

The Void God Cultivation Technique is the most secretive of all that anyone with a Formless and non-attributed Soul Realm can learn.

If the War God is made to be overwhelming, the Heavenly god to be profound and powerful then the Void God is supposed to be secretive.

That's because the Void God doesn't have a fixed path. Unlike other techniques were the path is set on stone and everyone that practices the technique will gain the same power and those who know the technique will know the weakness. The Void God will be different for everyone. As such, revealing the path you have chosen can lead to you giving your enemy your weakness.

Unlike many other Cultivation Techniques, the Void God allows to use other Techniques along, or rather, it's meant for that. However, there are some requirements. They must be meant for formless non-attributed Cultivators and they cannot be at the same level as the Void God.

The Void God Technique works by not letting other techniques influence your body or Soul directly but rather a proxy of it. The more one advance on this technique the more proxies one can make and the more techniques one can learn. However, one won't feel the effects of the other techniques until the proxies' merge with the body.

One can alternate the proxies with the real body, so one can use the power of those proxies without merging it. However, the strength of the original body can impact the progress of the other techniques including the Void God.

Using these proxies one can hide one real rank and most Demon Spiritualist practising this technique are known to hide in the shadows, showing their overwhelming strength if incited to fight.

"Indeed, this is a perfect match I didn't waste that much time studying thousands of Cultivation Techniques to improve the Phantom Steps only to not use them."

Once Tian decided on the Void God Cultivation Technique, he started to think on which one to learn on his proxies. The Void God didn't grant him much strength by itself. Apart from a superior way to gather the energy between heaven and earth the technique only gave a way for the practitioner to make his own path.

The number of proxies one can make is determinant of the rank one has and the understanding of the technique. As such, there was a limit on how many techniques Tian could learn. On the other hand, this would mean that Tian would have to divide the energy he gathered between all his proxies. As such, the more one had, the more difficult it was to advance.

His strength would depend on the techniques and amount of technique he chose to learn. Too many, he would have a hard time advancing. Too weak, it wouldn't be of any use and without synergy, there wasn't a use to learn more than one technique at the same time.

The only way that the Void God Technique would flourish would be to learn a technique that synergises with each other. Covering each other weaknesses and reinforcing the strengths.

With that in mind, Tian already had 3 techniques in mind to practice. However, only one was going to be used on a proxy. They were the Body of Poison, the Body Transformation and the Phantom Steps.

Unlike the Phantom Steps that was a proper Demon Spiritualist Cultivation Technique. The Body of Poison and the Body Transformation were more like Fighter Cultivation Techniques. They didn't use of spiritual energy but rather of one own body. It was thanks to that property of the Body of Poison that on the previous life of Tian, he didn't have to destroy his Cultivation to learn Phantom Steps.

The Body of Poison granted resistance to poison thanks to the meticulously planned Poisons one had to ingest. One could use the little Soul Force Fighters had to increase that resistance or to survive ingesting said poison but it wasn't meant to Demon Spiritualists.

The Body Transformation technique is a technique Tian learned on his travel throughout different Domains. Instead of training one Soul Force, the madlads that used this technique trained their body to confront the Demon Beasts that roamed around their domain. Those beasts-like humans that Tian meet engraved a deep impression on Tian. He saw how they faced Demon Beasts of the same rank with nothing but their body. Such monsters, Tian could only shiver as he remembered them. On one way, this technique had many similar points to the War God Cultivation Technique but only the physical part.

If the Body of Poison didn't allow him to travel to the most obscure and hidden places and survive the poisons that he and others employed. If the Body Transformation didn't allow him to endure attacks for his peers. If the Phantom Steps didn't allow him to run away, deal surprise attacks or undetectably poison his enemies. He would have been dead long before he met the Sage Emperor.

He was certain that he was going to use poison in the future, as such, the Body of Poison was a must. He wouldn't like to die due to his own poison. He didn't like to fight nor was talented on that regard, so, being able to endure attacks head-on was something he needs. As such, the Body Transformation was a need. And to be able to escape, secretly attack or just because he was already an expert at using this Cultivation Technique, it was a must.

Having already made up his mind for the Cultivation Techniques he will learn and the use of the only proxy he will be able to use on short notice. He went to the Alchemy Association.
