Void God Technique
Once the coast was clear, Hong Yue Xian began his evil plan. From one of the Demigod ranks he devoured in the Death God Tomb, he learned some soul techniques, like searching for, copying and transferring of memories. However, as easy as it would be to copy Nie Li's memories directly, Hong Yue Xian was still very much apprehensive of the vine hidden inside Nie Li. Normal techniques might not work.
So to be on the safe side, or rather safest among alternatives, Hong Yue Xian used his ability to devour Nie Li's memories and knowledge, careful not to kill him. After two hours he finally managed to absorb all of it. If it was usually, that amount of time would be enough to devour the whole person. The volume of information was overwhelming.
As Hong Yue Xian was tight on time he did not digest it straight away, instead he copied all of that knowledge and transferred it back to Nie Li. This way Nie Li will still know everything, and will not notice any issues. As for any that might be, his coma could be used as an excuse.
Soon another hour passed and Hong Yue Xian heaved a sigh of relief, noticing that he was drenched in sweat from his concentration. The next day, Ye Ziyun came back to nurse Nie Li, while Hong Yue Xian retreated and began to digest Nie Li's memories.
It took three whole days for him to absorb and sort all of them. Out of many intriguing things that were in his head, there was the cultivation technique he always wanted, the Void God Technique. By cultivating this technique Hong Yue Xian would be able to form a seed of Law of the Void. The seed in turn would serve as a converter, consuming large amounts of soul force or Heavenly Energy and transforming them into small amounts of Void Energy.
Void Energy could then be used to nourish the seed and raise its stage, allowing to produce a greater amount of Void Energy as well as of a higher standard. Thus, creating a cycle. The Heavenly God Technique needed seven demon spirits, with each new one making a qualitative change. The Void God Technique similarly had seven stages. They were:
1) Traceless Void Stage
2) Phaseless Void Stage
3) Ethereal Void Stage
4) Void Leaping Stage
5) Void Traversing Stage
6) Void Shaping Stage
7) Void Seeking Stage
Each of these stages bestow the cultivator with different abilities that could be used by expending the required Void Energy.
Traceless Void Stage's Void Energy deals with concealment. Once Hong Yue Xian reaches this stage, he would be able to enter the Void, becoming invisible and hiding his presence or that of others.
Phaseless Void Stage's Void Energy allows the user to phase through objects. For as long as he had the Void Energy, nothing could touch him and he could go through walls and barriers.
Ethereal Void Stage combines the previous two stages into one, giving the cultivator a power to become similar to a ghost, invisible and untouchable. When Hong Yue Xian saw these three stages he could not help but think about the Shadow Devil demon spirit. He finally understood why Nie Li did not bother with Void God Technique as he had a Shadow Devil.
Void Leaping Stage's Void Energy deals with teleportation. The more Void Energy expended the farther could one travel through space. This ability would be perfect for escaping or ambushing.
Void Traversing Stage allows the user to travel between Realms. A Realm is considered a Small World. Small Worlds could be different like Draconic Ruins Realm, the Nether Realm or Dark Prison Realm.
Void Shaping Stage gives the cultivator the ability to mould space and connect to the Void. By doing so it could be possible to create a Small World or a Realm. Locking or sealing space would also be possible.
Finally, the Void Seeking Stage would allow the departure from this Universe and the unrestrained travel through the Endless Void. The many connected Realms construct a Universe. Universe is a Great World.
Hong Yue Xian gasped in realisation that the world of TDG was a Universe or a Great World. After Stage 7 was reached, Hong Yue Xian could leave TDG Universe and explore in search of other Great Worlds. Perhaps he could even return back to Earth.
Hong Yue Xian revelled in the future possibilities before calming down and concentrating on the things at hand. He still had a long way to go to reach that stage so Hong Yue Xian began by following the manual and condensing the seed of the Law of the Void.
After a week he finally managed to produce a small amount of Void Energy. He used it and immediately turned invisible. Not wanting to waste time and Void Energy, the invisible Hong Yue Xian travelled through the streets until he reached his secret headquarters.
Shortly after, he ran out of Void Energy and appeared once more, giving another fright to his subordinates. Hong Yue Xian chuckled to himself and read the reports. Then he summoned the Legend rank who accepted the dangerous mission and bestowed him a Demigod rank essence pellet, to improve his odds.
The man was thrilled but Hong Yue Xian hurriedly assured him that the chances of him perishing were still very high, dampening his mood. After leaving instructions for the upcoming show, Hong Yue Xian visited Huyan Lanruo, Yang Xin, Shen Xiu and Sikong Hongyue. He gave each a proper cultivation technique.
Huyan Lanruo had a Gold Tiger soul form, so Hong Yue Xian gave her a Crouching Golden-Eyed White Tiger Manual. Yang Xin, who had a Fire Phoenix as her soul form, received the Blazing Virtue Nirvana Fire Phoenix Manual. Shen Xiu had a Flame Fox as her soul form, so she got the Nine Tails Demon Spirit Fox Manual. Sikong Hongyue received the Silver Winged Thunder Roc Manual.
Satisfied and relieved that his biggest issue was solved, Hong Yue Xian left Glory City and went to the Nether Realm. The Wugui Family and the Dark Guild were still imprisoned by other Families' Demigod rank experts, so he needed to deal with them.
