Reconciliation

After the martial arts competition the days became more peaceful. Hong Yue Xian heard about Nie Li moving into the City Lord's Mansion. He calculated the time and waited while cultivating. He had one of his men keep an eye on Lu Piao and Du Ze and several days later he received news that they went to visit Nie Li.

He remembered that Xiao Ning'er must have entered the Heavenly Sacred Border and Nie Li will travel there as well, though it was uncertain since they were not that close in this timeline. Surprisingly, Nie Li and the gang did leave for the Holy Orchid Institute. Yes. Nie Li disguised himself, but even not taking his clothes into account, one just needs to follow his friends, like he was doing now, to find him.

Hong Yue Xian himself did not intend to enter the Heavenly Sacred Border so he just waited outside for Nie Li and Xiao Ning'er to come out. After an hour they did, with Nie Li having a large sword on his back.

When Xiao Ning'er saw Hong Yue Xian waiting for her she was really happy and hugged him. She had not seen him for a while now, causing her to hug him tighter than ever. If he was not secretly a Legend rank he could have been crushed by her intense embrace. He patted her hair and caressed her back trying to comfort her. 'This girl likes to act tough and independent, but underneath she is really fragile and dependent.' As he thought that, Xiao Ning'er surprised him by whispering in his ear.

"Xian. Actually, Nie Li gave me a special cultivation technique. In return he asked if I could try to reconcile and be friends with Ye Ziyun. I tried to reject him but he told me to take it anyway and think on it. What do you think I should do? I want to be friends with Ziyun too but we are from two different worlds." As he felt her hot breath on his earlobe and listened to her soft silvery voice, Hong Yue Xian felt his heart itch.

He wished he could push Xiao Ning'er down but she was too young. He calmed down his beastly desires and spoke. "Ning'er, it is ok. Accept the technique, I am sure it will be very beneficial for you. As for Ye Ziyun. The truth is I always wanted to talk to you about it. I believe you would make great friends. You may not have noticed but Ye Ziyun always steals glances at you and tries to talk to you. I think she really wants to be friends with you."

"As for the different worlds, that is not true. You have a lot in common, yet you have many differences. Just like many others. Would you say that we are from different worlds and should not see each other again? Just give Ye Ziyun a chance. If not then so be it. I want you to know I will not force you into anything and if you need my help, just ask, alright?" As he said that Hong Yue Xian gently caressed her cheek with his hand, causing her face to flush red.

"Yes. Thank you Xian, I will." Whispered Xiao Ning'er before biting her lip and glancing at Hong Yue Xian. That look of hers was so lovely that he could no longer resist, kissing her. He felt Xiao Ning'er jerk a bit before surrendering to his lip assault.

Suddenly there were shrill whistles, startling the duo. Both of them separated with flushed faces. Xiao Ning'er looked away in embarrassment, while Hong Yue Xian looked angrily at Nie Li and his gang staring at them. He really wished to tear them to pieces.

Now that the moment was ruined, it was time to go. Soon they all left the institute and decided to escort Nie Li to the City Lord's Mansion. While they were crossing a corn field, they were ambushed by the Dark Guild led by Shen Ming. Hong Yue Xian decided it would be best to let Xiao Ning'er fight while supporting her from behind. Though not yet a Gold rank she was still able to decimate her opponents with her lightning.

The Thunder Wind Hawk was more battle oriented than the sparrow she would have received from Nie Li, so she was like a thunder goddess throwing bolts after bolts. Soon all of the enemies were taken out and brought to the Alchemist Association.

Hong Yue Xian did not enter to avoid making Yang Xin uncomfortable, so he stayed to chat with Xiao Ning'er outside. Little did he know that Yang Xin was watching him from her office window. As she saw him flirting with Xiao Ning'er, she could not help but burn with jealousy. She was of half a mind to go and interrupt the lovey dovey couple, but she was distracted by Nie Li and his news of the Dark Guild and the Sacred Family colluding. She had no time for personal issues and left to make investigations.

Eventually the gang had finally reached the City Lord's Mansion. Xiao Ning'er wished to stay and talk with Ye Ziyun, so Hong Yue Xian excused himself and left. He thought about the future events. If he remembered correctly soon the City Lord's Mansion will be under attack. After that is the banquet for Ye Han, followed by his loss to Nie Li. After that Nie Li and his group will go to the Dark Prison Realm. He hoped Xiao Ning'er would join them. He thought about it and decided not to go with them. He had other plans he wished to carry out while they were gone. Like his nightlife.

All of the past events had him really riled up. He might have a 13 year old body, but he was an adult before. With so many temptations around, it would be strange if he did not feel stressed. After all he was not like Nie Li, with the will like iron that only melts for Ye Ziyun.

'Hai. I really need to find relief soon. I am already laying hands on Xiao Ning'er. That can't go on. It seems that plan is the only full proof option. Hopefully it will succeed, I am actually looking forward to the results.' Sighed Hong Yue Xian in his mind, before coming to a decision and going to bed.
