A true Demoness

After about ten minutes she came back and sat behind her desk again. She stared at Hong Yue Xian hungrily as if she wanted to eat him up, making the latter feel uncomfortable. After a short silence, Yang Xin started to speak in a sweet tone that would make one drunk.

"Little brother Xian, I have discussed with president Gu Yan and he gave me permission to sign the contract with you. But the amount you are selling is so great, we do not have the funds available at the moment. Is it possible for us to pay in instalments, say in 8 parts paid every 3 months over the next two years?"

Hong Yue Xian thought about it and found it reasonable, however, he had his own conditions. "I understand big sis Yang, but on the condition that the price is fixed at the current one. If you do not wish it so I can always sell it to the major or noble families. Next, the time period is too long. It should be in 6 parts, every month over the next half a year."

Yang Xin could not help but lament in her heart that a 13 year old boy was so meticulous. It seemed she would have to use her trump card.

Seeing the effect she had on Hong Yue Xian, Yang Xin was very pleased. She suddenly found out that she loved teasing a boy like him, which made her bewildered. She decided to break him out of his trance before he literally started to drool, by asking him again.

"Little brother Xian, are you alright? Have you thought about my offer?"

Hong Yue Xian heard Yang Xin's voice and woke up with a start. He tried to get his bearing before breaking out in cold sweat. 'She really is a demoness' He thought, while trying to get his composure back. He cleared his throat and looked at Yang Xin again. Seeing her teasing smile, Hong Yue Xian was slightly embarrassed and he swore he would not fall under her spell again.

"Erm... Big sis Yang. I understand you have insufficient demon spirit coins, so how about a compromise. The payment will be every month for the next six months. The second and third month will be paid in the best pills you can refine, the rest with demon spirit coins. And since I greatly admire big sis Yang I would like to gift you three farms closest to the Alchemist Association. How is that?" Said Hong Yue Xian, while trying to keep his eyes focused on Yang Xin's face.

"Are you really fine being paid with pills? Very well, I gladly accept these terms. Now all that's left is the paperwork."

Afterwards, both of them signed a contract. Hong Yue Xian received a storage ring filled to the brim with demon spirit coins, while Yang Xin received the address of a warehouse with Purple Mist Grass as well as the deeds to three medicine farms. She was very pleased with the gift and gave Hong Yue Xian a tight hug. Because of the height difference he ended up being smothered by her soft yet perky breasts. He was in heaven. As Yang Xin released him, she saw how reluctant Hong Yue Xian was when leaving her embrace and could not resist giving him a peck on his cheek before saying goodbye.

Hong Yue Xian returned home and took a long cold shower in an attempt to forget his trip to heaven, before going to bed. The next day he found Xiao Ning'er in class and passed her the demon spirit he refined, a Gold rank Thunder Wind Hawk with God level growth rate. She wanted to reject but he persuaded her to take it since she will be reaching Silver rank soon. In return she will allow him to call her Ning'er. She blushed when she heard his request and asked if she could call him Xian, to which he readily agreed. Xiao Ning'er knew how precious Hong Yue Xian's gifts were, so she decided she would definitely repay him one day.

The next few days were full of noise. Apparently Shen Yue and his goons attacked Nie Li, but in the end he was saved by Ye Ziyun. Hong Yue Xian, however, did not care about that. What he did care about is the upcoming expedition. He already got invited by Chen Ling Jian to join the expedition. Hong Yue Xian also asked Xiao Ning'er if she wished to come and she was delighted.

So finally everyone gathered and marched outside the city gates. Hong Yue Xian already travelled this way before but that was in winter and now was summer. Besides he was accompanied by Xiao Ning'er, turning it from a dangerous expedition to an enjoyable picnic. They had a lot of fun but soon trouble came. And the trouble had a name - Huyan Lanruo.

So far the trip went as Hong Yue Xian remembered, except after being rejected and ignored by Nie Li, Huyan Lanruo decided to approach Hong Yue Xian and Xiao Ning'er. She tried to talk with him and get him to leave Xiao Ning'er and spend his time with her, but only a fool would do so. However, since Hong Yue Xian was planning on eventually making her his, he was not as rude as Nie Li. He conversed with her amiably, though most of his attention was still focused on Xiao Ning'er.

Despite that Huyan Lanruo still felt frustrated that her charms were not enough to get two 13 year old boys. So once again she used her demon spirit to seduce Hong Yue Xian. Alas she was Silver rank while he was Gold rank already, so her illusions did not work on him. Still, he decided to give her some advice.

"Sister Huyan, you rely on your demon spirit too much. You are already beautiful enough to charm everyone around you, there is no point in using it as that would mean you are not confident in your looks. There is no point in making someone love you against their will, as it will not last. Take Ning'er for example, she is a well known beauty yet she does not demand others to like her or call her beautiful, she has no need for a demon spirit as she has her own natural charm. You have it too, it is just being blocked from sight by your behaviour. If it makes you feel better I find you very charming and beautiful, but I am not going to forsake Ning'er for you. Why should I? Can't we all be friends instead and enjoy ourselves?"

Huyan Lanruo's expression kept changing from shock, to disbelief, anger, confusion, jealousy, bashfulness and expectation. She half shouted. "Yes! Let's be friends!"

Hong Yue Xian turned to look at Ning'er to seek her opinion but he found her blushing as she lowered her eyes and fidgeted in place. He could not help but chuckle and call out to her, with her bashfully agreeing. And so the three began travelling together.

Huyan Lanruo was still as annoying and as forceful as ever, though she was not as clingy and she paid equal attention to Xiao Ning'er. It was too early to call them friends but they started getting along and warm up to each other.

The only hiccup was Hong Yue Xian being challenged by Chu Yuan. Hong Yue Xian did not need to use his Gold rank cultivation to beat him up. The guy was a total joke. Hong Yue Xian was sure even Ning'er would be able to beat Chu Yuan. Still the fact that he defeated a 3 star Bronze rank Demon Spiritualist was quite a feat for his age, earning admiring looks from both girls. He could not help but thank Chu Yuan silently for providing him such a great opportunity to look good.

The rest of the expedition went the way it should have and after finding the leftover treasures everyone turned back to Glory City. Hong Yue Xian's objectives for this trip were to deepen his relationship with Xiao Ning'er as well as get acquainted with Huyan Lanruo. Both of them were successfully completed.
