19 Chapter no. 19 Pros and Cons
( Author Note : Guys after reading your comments I reread the previous chapter and realized that I had done the character of Ye Zong quite dirty with him showing qualities of short sightedness e. t. c so I have rewritten a large chunk of the previous chapter so to not get confused my some of the things in this chapter I say read the previous chapter and then read this one . Comment if you guys like the Change to the previous chapter .

Now we will start this chapter with everything from Lin Lingtian's POV )

Channeling soul force to all the weapons to create a ring of fire that would disturb Nie Li's technique .
( Boom ! )
( Ring )
A ringing sound penetrates my ear as darkness slowly envelopes me .

" ha ..."
Opening my eyes , I find myself in what appears to be a cell .
" ...H....a .....g.....g.... "
Still confused and a little disoriented , Lin Lingtian stook his head .
( Shhkkk )
Hearing the sounds of metallic chains being pulled , I looked at my hands to find just what is this cold sensation .
My hands having chains and inscription arrays around them .

Looking up to the cell door , two men , one was a purple haired middle aged who was glaring at him like he had killed his daughter or something . The other was a white haired man somewhere in his late 50s with a stern and no nonsense attitude .
Looking at their attire , Lin Lingtian knew these people were part of a Noble Family .
" Lin Lingtian ." The Old man said .
" Yes ."
" My name is Ye Shuo and I would like to ask a few questions ."
' so I am being held prisoner by the Snow wind family . '
" Ask away ."
" Were you a servant of the Sacred Family ?"
" Yes ."
' Why did they ask that question ? A big family like The Snow wind family could easily get their hands on such information .'
" Were you labelled as the most talented member of the Fighters Apprentice Class ?"
Lin Lingtian just shrugged his shoulder .
" I don't know ."
Ye Shuo said , " Elder Shen Ming accused you of being a member of the Dark Guild , what do you have to said to that ? "
' Of course the sacred family pulled something like that , I am not even surprised anymore '
" Well clearly he is lying . "
" That remains to be seen , so for now I apologize for the inconvenience but you will have to stay in this cell until our investigation is over and we have determined if you are a member of the Dark Guild or not . "
" Well no problem . "
Lin Lingtian gaze swept through Ye Zong ," This is the City Lord of Glory City . " said Ye Shuo
" Oh ! " Lin's right eyebrow moved upward . ' Why is the honourable City Lord visiting me in this cell ? '
" He is the father of Ye Ziyun . "
" Oooooh ! "

From Ye Zong's slap , Lin Lingtian slammed to the wall .
" Don't you dare ever do that do my daughter again , this time it is just a light tap , next time ; there won't be a next time . "
Slumped by the side of the wall with a bloodied lip , Lin Lingtian looked at the back of the two men walking out of the cell .
He said in his mind , ' Status . '

Something caught his attention as he tapped the (•) symbol beside the War God Technique .
Several tabs opened infront of him .

[ Lightning Wind Dao Scripture : Demon Storm ( locked ) ]
Lin Lingtian looked a little surprised by these tabs . From the names he could interprete that maybe these where advanced forms of the War God's Cultivation techniques but why did he have a Dao for the Lightning Wind even though his soul form had nothing to do with Wind or lightning .
Was it due to the two attributes that he had gained ?
Then did that mean he could gain more benefits from the War God Technique if he gained more attributes .
Touching the second tab [ Demon Blood Seal Art ] , Information began to pour into his brain as words and alphabets formed sentences that were so complex that he had a migraine just from glancing at them but he instinctively knew that was the Demon Blood Seal Art.
Taking a deep breath to calm himself , Lin Lingtian smirked .
He calm tried to understand what those ancient symbols meant .

The Demon Blood Seal Art was indeed an advanced part of War God Technique that would be practiced after he had made the souls of his enemy part of his army .
Resting his head against the wall , a few thoughts flashed through his head .
He needed to escape this place quickly .
Every second he wasted to not form the second heart was in a second to late as he was just making it harder on himself and his cultivation journey forward .
And he was assuming the worst while hoping for the best .
Worst case scenario was that the Sacred Family somehow proving him to be a member of the dark Guild which would actually result in him having to fight for his life .
And he may advance into the silver rank
and the second heart would be gone .
In case such a situation occurs he had only one way to form the second heart using one way .
He had to use a medium .
Unlike the other two methods he definitely didn't like this one .
The Second Heart formed using the blood of the dual attribute yin wood would have made the second heart in his body like he would have formed an actual second heart . A physical working second heart .
The downside was that now he had a weakness that was his physical limitations as if his second heart was destroyed he would lose his connection to his army .
The positive side was that if he formed a new heart then he could regain back that connection anytime .
The Second Heart Formed using the Nether Blood Ritual would have formed a gateway between his soul sea and the outside world . The soul of his enemies would have been captured and then refined into his army in his soul sea which would cause his soul sea to again the properties of the Nether realm .
The downside was that the souls of the dead aren't exactly nice , as he needed to fight against their fear ,despair e.t.c. all the negative emotions that associate with death . If he loses that fight then he would be plunged into the world of insanity .
The positive was that this method allowed him to refine the emotions of the dead with soul force creating a much more purer form of soul force that would give him a boost in his own power .
And according to the War God Technique if he can refine the emotions of 1Billion Souls then he could achieve a rank written in the scripture as The Heavenly Fate realm .
Resting his head against the wall , he though about it ," The Heavenly Fate Realm " this term was something that puzzled him greatly as he had tried to find something about it in the holy orchid Library but he had found absolutely nothing about it . So he had theorized that it must be above the Legend rank .
And the method that he didn't like at all .
To use it something as a medium to form the second heart , he needed to break a piece of his soul and embed it that object which would become a part of his soul .
There was no advantage or disadvantage .
And that was the sole reason he didn't like it .
He had to mess with his soul for no benefits .
Closing his eyes , Lin Lingtian began to try to understand the mechanism of the Demon Blood Seal Art and repeat the War God Technique to get a better understanding of it as many parts of the chant kinda confused his a little .

Hearing the cell door open , Lin Lingtian looked at Ye Shuo entering into the room .
" I have good news and bad news ."
" Bad News ."
" Well after searching your room , we found a letter that lead to the Red Light District where we found a letter that had instructions for you from the dark Guild . "
Lin couldn't help but sigh , ' Looks like it is just not my day ..'
Hearing Lin's sigh , Ye Shuo said ," I am not fully convinced by the evidence , it seemed too convenient and easy so for now you are innocent as I am going to discuss with the city lord what to do with you for now . Do you have anything to say ? "
" The Sacred Family is framing me . "
" That may also be a possibility but for your information we fought with a Dark Guild member who had in his possessions a letter addressed to you ."
Lin Lingtian remained indifferent as he thought ,' Why is he telling me this ? Was it to get a reaction out of me that would hint at if I am a member of the dark Guild ? He said with a tone of certainty that the person who they fought was a member of the Dark Guild , then why was he still saying that I am innocent in his eyes , Is it to gain my trust or something else ? Information is limited and too many variables are there to consider so it would be best if I remained quiet .'
" Lin Lingtian , I believe you are innocent but there is a lot of evidence that is against you so help me ."
Lin Lingtian looked at Ye Shuo who continued ," I just want you to cooperate with me and answer a few questions truthfully ."
" Sure ."
" Ye Feng , You may come in. "
