Transfer

---

Welcome to the magical world of Lornia

---

These were the words Winsor saw before everything went dark. He could hear the crackles of the flames growing quieter and quieter as the words on the weird floating screen shone brighter and brighter. He was confused about what was going on. His head was ringing and everything was hurting. The only reason he wasn't screaming his lungs out was because he was still disoriented and was numb.

Though he had been unconscious, the flames still burnt his body and his clothes were in tatters. If anyone was coming to save him, they would be forced to see his half naked burnt body which was nothing remarkable even before the fire. He still felt terrible pain in but it too was growing less just like the noise from the flames. The ringing in his head though was increasing as time went on and soon he couldn't tell up from down or if he had hands or not.

The screen shone with new words but Winsor couldn't even notice the change. His head was ringing and felt as though someone was drilling his head at all angles. He couldn't concentrate at all and felt very tired. He couldn't focus at all and couldn't grasp his emotions. He felt confused about what was happening, disbelief at his best friends betrayal and just out right anger at the pain.

'Stop! Just stop! Please Argh'

He tried yelling but found he couldn't even do so. Now that he thought about it, he couldn't move his hands or legs let alone talk. He could still feel his surroundings through the pain and tried to focus on his surroundings to distract him from the pain. He remembered something heavy falling on him so he deduced he had been crushed by a falling desk or part of the roof. That would explain why he would not be able to move anything. Or at least he hoped that was the correct guess since he thought it would suck for his body to be utterly broken beyond repair.

As he was distracting himself the pain reduced down to the level of a light migraine and that didn't escape his notice. He thought it was due to him focusing on his thoughts and surroundings but what he did fail to realize was that there was now a comfortable warmth around him.

Now that the pain had reduced, Winsor noticed the floating screen that was now becoming dimmer by the second. He was wondering what the hell this thing was. He was a bit of a gamer and noticed that this looked like one of those interfaces one would see in a video game but could recognise from which one it came from.

'This has to be some kind of prank. Did they rescue me and blind fold me or something?. Come to think of it, the pain is almost gone an d now just feels like a headache.'

He realised that the pain was almost gone and was wondering why it became so unbearable in the first place.

'At least am saved. Once I wake up I'm gonna kill that idiot Flock.' He didn't know if it was just a misunderstanding or maybe an accident. He trusted Flock enough to give him that much but others could see it as him just rejecting the fact he was betrayed. He knew Flock for far to long and the thought that he would actually try to kill him after all they had been through together was something he dreaded.

As he was beginning to question his friendship with Flock, the screen that was growing dimmer suddenly begun becoming brighter. This managed to bring Winsor back from his spiral as the new words managed to put him on alert.

He at first thought of the screen as a prank that his friends were playing on him but they weren't the type to play pranks and certainly not as well made like this one. Another thing was the weird aura the screen was giving off. It was strange feeling since he had never felt anything like this before. It was sort of divine and all knowing which made the words on the screen even more dreadful.

He begun panicking as he started to consider that this whole thing might not be some dumb prank and that something strange was going on. He had read in some fantasy novels about people who die and get transported to other worlds but he never found them that interesting. Now he was regretting his former attitude towards the common troupe and found it ironic that it was so popular yet he knew nothing of it.

Luckily for Winsor, whoever the muffled voices belonged brought a strange container under his nose. This container was actually a small clear vail containing a crystal green liquid in it.

The second his new vessel, or in this case body, took its next breath, it took a sniff of the liquid along. It was a terribly disgusting smell that smelt as though someone got concentrated cat piss and sprayed cheap expired perfume over it just making it way worse.

The strong ordour was enough to shock him awake and he quickly sat up coughing with a runny nose and red eyes. He was confused and disoriented but he managed to notice that he was in a stone room with many other beds beside the one he was laying on.

"Great! He's awake, tell the Earl that one of them is awake!" a middle aged blond man shouted at the nurse that was covering one of the other beds with a large white cloth. The man looked quite relieved that the boy had survived and seemed fine.

All of this was very confusing to Winsor but what made him freeze and even stop coughing was the shape of the ears of the doctor.

"No way..." Winsor said softly

"Its got to be a dream right? Its not real, right?" He said while looking at the long pointed ears of the doctor
