And So, I'm Back Home

Even though to me, it's only been about four days since I died, it still feels like a long time since I've been in Aeolia. Makes sense seeing as I wasn't really able to play in the five months before my death. But the view is just as I remember it.

Using <Flight>, Damocles and I float up to the floating isle. I can see a tower like bridge by the side, which the adventurers and knights usually used to attempt the raid on my castle. Understandable, seeing as it isn't everyone that can use flight spells, though every high ranking monster within the isle can use some form of flight spell, although instant teleportation from any area underneath, to the isle is possible for any of its residents.

The first two outer barriers don't affect us as we fly further up, onto the Aeolia. As soon as my feet touch the land on the isle, a sudden vibration is sent through out the isle, as if acknowledging my presence.

Really, it looks just as I remember it. Aeolia is relatively small, compared to most islands, but it is big enough to house a few small mountains with numerous caves and vegetation on them to the west. A tunnel runs underground from the east, and several watch towers scatter around the isle, and a long infinitely flowing river that starts from the south, my current location with Damocles, and forms a lake through at the north, where Erandelle lies. The castle, Erandelle, is surrounded by the trees of the dark forest behind it, which encompasses most of the north side of Aeolia. This was the home of my character Aeolus, one of the three Demon lords in the game. And now it is my home, the champion of a god.

"Welcome home, my lord." Damocles utters, bowing slightly and gesturing for me to lead the way.

I let out a breath before moving north, towards where my castle waits for me. Everything looks just like it did in the game, only I'm feeling new sensations that tell me everything I'm experiencing is real. As we move towards Erandelle, the demons and monsters that stand around our path bow, and kneel in respect, not standing up until I was well at a distance.

Finally, past the lake, the gates of Erandelle stand tall and hard, opening itself completely before I got closer. In this moment, a sense of nostalgia washes over me, at the sight of my ten generals of the house of Erandelle bowing on either side of the grand hall, with a long red carpet spread in the middle.

From the front, Agamemnon, Dionysius, Brontes, Castor, and Pollux, and on the other side, Amaymon, Orion, Vanir, Falacer, and Mercury. They're all here.

"Welcome, Our Lord!"

They greet, grins wide on their faces as the bow, receiving me with their utmost warmth.

It feels good being around these clashes of strong magical power. After being around weaklings for so long, I forgot what the suffocating feeling being around high ranking beings was like. Even in the game, if your magic sense was high enough, you could literally feel the influx of magic power around strong players and NPC's, but this in real life is on a whole other level. Seriously, I created monsters.

Though among all of my generals...

"Master, please take your seat," Agamemnon says, gesturing to the throne placed in the front of the hall.

This guy, is undoubtedly my greatest masterpiece, and my greatest fear. The king of demons, Agamemnon. It may sound absurd for a creator to be afraid of his own creation, but Agamemnon truly is a monster above monsters, and is currently the only being I know of besides Net, who is stronger than me. And though I say 'created' I wasn't really the one who created him. No one really knows who created him. One day he just popped up as a really high ranking slayer, and the first player familiar to earn the title 'Player Killer', because of his achievement in killing over a thousand players by himself without a master at the time. Everyone just assumed he was created by the game master, mostly because soon after his rampage, a quest was formed to exterminate him. Quests aren't usually formed for the extermination of player related creatures in Kingdom Crawlers, so it was reasonable everyone thought he was created by the game administration.

To my knowledge, there was no one in the game who successfully completed the quest to kill him. Not even I, because when it came down to it, I felt it was too much of a waste to kill off such a valuable creature. The only reason everyone opted to kill him rather than keep him was because it was thought he couldn't be tamed. Even though his level hadn't even passed 130, his evolution cap was inhuman and too bulky, making him difficult to level up or subdue, and his loyalty cap was even bulkier. It should've been impossible, but I persisted. And in doing so somehow I ended up raising my summoner's tier to the max, and finally, after a year and a half, he was finally mine. The amount of money, time, and more money I spent on him could've bought me an entire prefecture, but I still think it was worth it.

Because now, he's the head of my generals, and my second-in-command. And somehow, through out the years, he got stronger than me, with stats that could rival all the top 10 players combined. Plus, if I'm being honest, he's also the smartest, and most clever character I've ever seen, and now that he's a living person... It's better not to think about these things.

"My lord must be tired having to deal with those vile human knights, please let us know if there is anything at all that you need. Even if it's exterminating a few bugs in your way." The voice of a black-clothed angel says gently.

Dionysius, The queen of the seraphim. Like most seraphim, she looks just like an angel with unimaginable beauty, however they are far from angels. They are creatures who reside in hell as well, with black feathered wings and horns that form the illusive shape of a halo. At first glance, it's easy to mistake them for black angels. She is another one of my subordinates that I didn't create directly. I more or less poached her from her master, then increased her loyalty cap like hell so she couldn't be stolen from me. Same thing I did with Brontes.

In Kingdom Crawlers, it was possible to get the subordinates of another player to come under your servitude through magic that messed with the mind or high leveled invocation skills if the level of their loyalty wasn't high enough to stop your skill. I couldn't use it on Agamemnon since his master had either quit the game or abandoned him, so there was no need for poaching since he was then more or less up for grabs. However, Dionysius originally belonged to the number 6 player, a Dark mage named Amber, and Brontes belonged to a player I defeated in a PVP, and gained him by winning the bet.

My other generals where created by me, each higher than S-rank. With these guys, ruling the universe will be somewhat less stressful, although I can only imagine the levels of my opponents.

"Anything I need?" I mutter, repeating her last sentence, thinking about something I do need done.

"My lord?" Agamemnon asks, curious as to what my request would be.

"I need you to... eliminate an annoying organization for me. These days, they're sort of pissing me off."
