Tale of the Warrior-Scholar

The First God's world dies and is reborn eight times. Every time it does, mysterious and fantastic objects get trapped under the earth as Artifacts, vessels of past Memories, while the souls of all humanity reincarnate. In the Emperor's Realm, there were originally two classes of officials: the Warriors and the Priests. But after hundreds of years, the Priests' heavy lifting was pushed onto an unofficial official class: the Scholars. Of all the Emperor's servants, the Scholars had the lowest status and salary, even though their job was crucial. No one became a Scholar who wanted to be rich and famous... Enter Lin Yuchen. Teacher and Scholar. For a teacher, his moral fiber is subpar. For a Scholar, his talents are extremely ordinary. Since he was young, he wanted to be an archeologist, to risk his life collecting the Artifacts that form the last remaining fragments of the previous worlds. But as it turns out, he gets more than he bargains for: an odd thread of destiny tugs at him, flinging him into a new world where being a Scholar alone is simply not enough.
