4 Introductions are important

"Amelia!"

Rachael's voice called out to Amelia, to wake her up. It had been her first night in their new home.

Amelia opened her eyes and stared at the wooden ceiling. She had already decided that she did not like the room. The window faced the neighbors house which was close by, obscuring her view of the area around them.

Their was practically nothing to look at through the window except gray paint and the neighbors bedroom through their window. Amelia got off her new bed and headed downstairs to Rachael who was waiting for her at the breakfast table. The radio was on in the background, playing back in time English hits.

"I made your favorite, strawberry waffles" she cheered with a bright smile. I know your first night in this new place was strange but I want you to cheer up because things are going to get better.

Rachael laid out waffles, fruits and orange juice for Amelia to eat. Uncle Derrick passed the two girls with his father - in - law following close behind. They were headed to the basement to fix a leaking main water line.

His mother - in - law stood by the kitchen sink ready to turn on the pipe to give confirmation of their successful work.

Amelia quickly ate and finished her waffles and had began drinking her juice when she heard the guys cheering in the basement, then her uncle shouted "It's fixed, try it now!"

At that moment Rachael turned to Amelia and asked "Did you enjoy your….?"

The sound of the water from the kitchen tap began hitting the base of the kitchen sink in tandem with her question until suddenly it stopped.

Amelia watched over the rim of her glass as Rachael had stopped mid sentence. Even the orange juice had become frozen in the glass.

Amelia slowly rested down the glass on the table and listened to the absolute silence in the house.

Suddenly she heard the front door open and a male voice say, "Good Morning!" Just want to talk, Amelia is it?

Amelia ran to the sink and picked up a kitchen knife from the wares drainer.

Then a well dressed gentleman walked around the corner and into view. Aiden walked into the kitchen to see a poised Amelia with a knife in her hand by the kitchen sink. Not going to hurt you, he assured. Just here to talk to you.

He pulled out a chair and sat at the kitchen table, trying to look as non threatening as possible.

OK, Amelia answered as she closed the kitchen pipe, next to her frozen grand mother. Then she moved to the opposite end of the table and sat down, looking at Williams directly and placing the knife on the table beside her.

Firstly, she asked what is going on here?

Well.... Firstly, My name is Aiden. Aiden Wainsworth and this house has been placed in a time bubble, Aiden said calmly.

Completely overlooking the time bubble explanation she answered his question. I read it, while standing there, where you were yesterday, she answered.

You remember me being there, Aiden asked?

Yes answered Amelia. I never forget a face… A place… A thing… Anything for that matter, she said heartily.

OK, chuckled Aiden. So where did you read it?

I read it from a strand.

A strand, questioned Aiden?

You might think that I am crazy, she responded..

Try me said Aiden. I have seen some very weird things that you have never even dreamed of.

OK, responded Amelia. I sometime see strands, thread like things suspended in the air. When I touch them, I can read them and I see words. That day I saw a strand and I read the words Magicis Distractis from it.

Incredible, Aiden enthused. Do you know what you are actually seeing?

No, she responded with a hint of curiosity.

Pulling out his wand, he said Let me show you something. Saying the spell softly so she would not hear it, he shot an ice spell at the water from the pipe which was hovering in the air.

It froze, the moment the spell made contact with the water.

Before her, Amelia saw a blue strand, floating in the air. She got up to read it. Reading out loud she said the spell name was

"Glacies Magicae Induresco"
