[chapter 4: A dwarf village]

"Hey we going to the dwarf territory right?" Ask Lydia to Chris

"yea we going to there to get some items"

" well we going to need some cash for item idiot"

"don't you think we can trade this to a dwarf?"

Chris proceed to take his hand out of pocket and show Lydia all the rune fragments from the golem they defeated yesterday

"You kept all of this?'

"yea I thought this thing thing might be valuable so I kept it"

"haa your brain not that small after all"

"rudee"

Chris and Lydia then proceed to walk a path lead to dwarf region for a while

"are we there yet?"

"No we still far away from that place "

"where do you get that map by the way Lydia"

"I always hold on this map for some reason after I killed a human trespassing the elf territory "

Jeez this woman is kinda scary

"we should stop here for a bit to rest"

Chris then followed Lydia to a small dwarf village near the path the followed earlier

"is this a village near the region?"

"well as you can see"

A village with dozen of dwarf and the sounds of thumping on the anvil thumping on swords really loud

"HEY Lydia"

A dwarf shout Lydia name in a distant while coming to Lydia

"Hey mister Igris!" Lydia approach the dwarf with a smile on her face

"how long has it been? A year?'

"yeah its been long since lastime I was here"

"urm so you familiar with this village Lydia?

"so how was the shop mister Ingris?"

"haha my co-worker now taking my shift at the shop for the moment"

Wow I just got ignored…..

"AH sorry I forgot to introduced you to my friend"

The dwarf then shocked to see Chris beside them

"Hello sir my name is Christopher you can call me Chris"

Chris then proceed to give out his hand to the dwarf

But the dwarf then proceed to ignore Chris hand

"So you make a human friend huh Lydia?"

"y-yea?"

"I thought you never change Lydia but I guess I'm wrong...if you want to stay for the night just use the old house beside the village"

Ingris then proceed to turn his back and walk away from Chris and Lydia

"whats wrong with him?"

"well I think it might because he have a bad past involving human"

Damn does every being hate humans? I don't even know I been living beside the river for years with no outside information

"lets go to the tavern for something to eat I'm starving already"

Lydia then led Chris to a tavern which is east side of the village

Hmm I'm still wanna know what happen to Ingris and how Lydia know him

Lydia then proceed to open the tavern door and enter it before Chris

"hey Lydia wait up"

Chris then proceed to open the tavern door to see

dwarf happily drinking rum with each other on a table and see him walking through the door with a look in their eyes

...After a few seconds…..

One of the dwarf of Chris a glass of rum and all of the dwarf in the tavern chant….

"CHUG CHUG CHUG"

Chris have a smiled across his face and chug down the whole glasss

Everyone in the tavern include Lydia start cheering for him

After a few minutes the tavern dwarfs settle down and Chris and Lydia sit a table near the wall

"wow I thought dwarf hate human"

"haha of course not dwarf always like every beng except for demon"

"Why not demon?

"dwarf and demon have a bad past years ago I think"

"say Lydia why do you know a lot about the history of this world?'

"well before my mom died she keep teaching me this world history everyday "

"ah I see…..another question how do you got familiar with the dwarf and Ingris? "

"well not too long ago I helped Ingris lay of couple of raiders while he collecting some wolf carcass there and then we suddenly become friends and I helped him a lot with his expedition "

"you very kind Lydia that's why I like you"

"H-huh w-what you saying i-diot"

"what? I always wanted a kind companion"

Lydia then smacked her head at the table with feel of shame

"HEY WHAT YOU DOING LYDIA"

"its nothing I'm just doing my head exercise "

What the hell wrong this elf

Chris then start slowing down his tone and start talking to Lydia

"Hey…Why does Ingris hate human unlike any of the dwarf?"

Lydia struggle to open her mouth but then find a courage to whisper to chris with sad tone

"3 years ago"

"what happened 3 years ago?"

"Ingris brother got k-killed by human army"
