[Chapter 3: the first companion]
As the golems start closing in around chris and the elf girl they thinking about a way out from the golem
"umm do you got any ideas?"
"one of us need to distract the golems and the other one attack them from behind to break their formation"
"alright I do the distraction and you attack them using the bow"
The elf girl nod
Chris start running in circle while hitting the golems with his spear
"hey come here stonefaces"
The three golem start moving to chris and the elf start sneaking around the last golem that get distracted
Wait! Why I don't think that elf girl might leave me?
Why I put trust on her....now I'm gonna die here while putting trust to a elf girl
The golems start to moving in closer to chris and lifting up their arms
why the spear don't help me? ….even the spear give up to save loser like me huh?
Chris then keep backing up until he hit his back to one of the golem leg
I guess this is it
Then a arrow hit one of the golem neck turning it to dust
"HEY WHAT YOU DOING!?"
So she doesn't leave me...….with a grin Chris start to back up and slide under the golem
...
"TAKE THIS" Chris thrust the spear right into the magic rune behind the golem back making it turn to dust
Two down one to go
Chris dash right in front of the last golem and jump on top of its hand to finish it by piercing the magic rune while jumping off the golem body
Wow that's one way to kill it
The elf girl then drop down from the tree she climbed earlier to shot the first golem and start moving to chris
"not bad human...but your move really careless"
"I'm not gonna lie but today is the second day I even practiced.....Say elf lady why would you save me earlier and not escape alone by yourself?'
The elf struggle to open her mouth to answer chris question
"I s-save you b-because I'm not selfish a-alright?"
Chris then proceed to laugh after hearing the elf answer
"WHY U LAUGHING HUMAN DO YOU WANT TO DIE BADLY?"
Says the elf while blushing
"hahaha nothing I just thought you a evil elf that would leave me behind hahaahah" while smiling
"hey elf lady it's a bit tiring to call you elf lady do you have a name?"
"L-Lydia"
"Great to meet you Lydia I'm Christopher but you can call me chris" while smiling at Lydia
Why I'm starting to be friendly with this human? He has different vibe from the others human I encountered
"Hey Lydia it's starting to get late let's make a camp"
I know this girl is nice she just encountered a lot of scumbags human
"A-ARE Y-YOU CRAZY? Why should I spend the night near you?
"well because there might be a lot of snow wolf packs wandering at night don't you think so?'
Hmm he's right but to stay a night near human? That's crazy
"Just stay 5 feet away from me or I kill you"
"okay no problem"
After a hour they both sitting facing each other near the campfire silently
Then Lydia try to ask something but refuse to open her mouth
"Hey Lydia why do you wandering around the hunting area earlier?"
Lydia then turn to other way avoiding Chris….
Well why would she talk to me anyway …..Chris then proceed to close his eyes
"I just wandering around like usual"
Chris then opened his eyes a bit happy to hear Lydia voice
"Don't you have a home"
"no I'm just a orphan living by herself"
"so we both in the same boat eh"
Lydia eyes start to show curiousity after hearing that line
"You don't have a family too?"
"yeah they long gone and I been living alone since then"
"hey earlier you said you have been practicing for two days….what are you trying to achieve? Become one of the human army? Or one of the raider"
"I'm just want to change this dirty world but I need more strengths"
Lydia shocked and turn around to see chris face
"Are you joking!? Im asking a question not playing around"
"I'm not joking" while look Lydia right into the eyes
HE SERIOUS!? Who is this guy? Why he have same ambition like my dream!?
Lydia then start moving closer Chris
"do you think you can change the world by yourself?'
"well I receive one of the mythical item and challenge a god name helix….oh and I'm gonna find more people to join me I don't care what races they from or what are they"
Lydia shocked and scream
"ONE OF THE MYTICAL ITEM? YOU MET A GOD NAME HELIX!????"
"U-urm yea?"
"DO YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF ONE OF THE CLAN KNOW WHAT THAT CAPABLE OF!!!"
"Jeez stop screaming...yeah I know but don't worry I don't do anything big.....yet"
"why do you even trust me !?'
"well….I just know you have same dream as I am"
Lydia eyes then start to get teary and she run to her spot and turn away from Chris
Did I say something wrong? Well its getting late I should sleep now and wake up early...
Before the sun rises Chris woke up and noticed Lydia is gone
Well I don't expect much
He grab his spear and start to leave the snowy area
Did I really hurt her feeling? I might not gonna see her ever a-gain
At the end of the territory Chris shocked to see
"Lydia!? What are you doing here?"
"Huh to join your cause of course? I don't even have anything to do anymore so might aswell die trying to fix this dirty world"
Christ smile happily and hug Lydia
"HEY WHAT YOU DOING" while blush red on her check
Chris then pulled back and surprise by his own action
"OH sorry hahaha I'm just happy you and I gonna be friend hahaha" while laughing
"i-its ok just d-don't do it a-again" struggling to face chris eye to eye
"haha alright"
"so where are we going next chris?"
"Hmm I think I need to get some item first sooo we should go to...…..DWARF territory to get some gear"
"alright sounds like a good plan it's about time you change to something better'
"its not even that long you see me wearing this"
Both of them laughing together
"OK LETS GO TO THE DWARF TERRITORY"
